CRAS CENTRO RICERCA AEROSPAZIALE SAPIENZA
Marcello OnofriDirettore Centro Ricerca Aerospaziale Sapienza (CRAS)Roma, 15/12/2014

The Sapienza “Helium Solution”by Di Giacinto – Favini team
• To face pressure oscillations during the transient start up of VEGA, caused by the finocyl grain geometry adopted
• Eliminated by using Helium rather then Nitrogen as pressurizing gas
• Experimental validation on 19/12/05at Salto di Quirra (Sardinia)
• ESA adopted the Sapienza Solution for all the Vega stages

CONCLUSIONI
