WORKSHOP: INVASIONIl futuro del design è nelle nostre maniDue collettivi di designer, NVDRS e Ludiko, assieme al mastro ceramista Giovanni Crippa hanno sperimentato con le possibilità espressive della tradizione ceramista per un weekend all’insegna della contaminazione dei saperi. I designer hanno sperimentato le gioie e i dolori della tradizione artigianale misurandosi con limiti e potenzialità della materia, e aggiugendo ai loro progetti livelli narrativi e poetici tipici delle loro disciplinarietà. L’incrocio tra le due esperienze ha portato reciproco arricchimento, sperimentando con una nuova forma di prototipazione per il design ironicamente ribattezza-ta SLOW PROTOTYPING (in netta contrapposizione con il rapid prototyping in voga oggi) ma che implica pazienza e precisione, e un contatto con la materia che ne svelala natura e le potenzialità nascoste.

Two designer communities, NVDRS and Ludiko, together with master potter Giovanni Crippa, experienced the expressive potential of pottery tradition over

a weekend based on a knowledge melting pot. Designers went through both the joy and the pain of craftsman tradition discovering the limits and potentialities of the matter, and adding to their projects narrative and poetical levels typi-cal of their disciplines. The mix of the two experiences led to mutual enrichment, experien-cing a new form of prototyping for design ironically renamed SLOW PROTOTYPING (totally opposed to nowadays widespread rapid prototyping) but implying patience and accuracy,

and contact with the matter that discloses its hidden nature and potentials.
