Your Turn to Be Heard
As many of you may or may not know, Kersey Library
will be closing when the addition to Ekstrom is com-
pleted. This will leave the building empty with the
space needing to be filled.Currently there are two proposals for the space. In one
proposal, the building will be used for housing for the
Computer Engineering Computer Science departmentand, in the other it will be used as a student building.
The administration wants student input on the matter,so this will be the perfect time to speak up and let your
voice be heard!
On November 3rd at 2 pm administration is inviting all
students to hear what is happening and to voice their
option. This session will be held in Vogt 314.
The proposal for the student building mentions thatthere will space for a student café and commons area,
student organization offices, an extended-hour studyarea, student meeting rooms, reading room, instruc-
tional facilities, rooms to meet with prospective stu-
dents and their families, co-op and graduate interview
rooms, advising center, copy center, Freshman Engi-
neering Program Offices. The proposal for the CECS building mentions space for
the CECS office, student services, and the freshman
engineering course.
I highly encourage students to attend this meeting. This meeting will let the administration see what the
students want.
