Sistema Moda.
Con le sue tre specifiche aree didattiche –
Creatività e Design, Immagine e
Comunicazione, Marketing e Prodotto – IED
Moda Lab forma i professionisti richiesti in
tutte le attività portanti del mondo della
moda; dal campo creativo a quello strategi-
co, dagli aspetti organizzativi a quelli com-
merciali, dal marketing alle attività di imma-
gine e comunicazione.
to, seminari culturali, partecipazione a concorsi, cicli
duzione.
lizzando progetti e forme concrete.
figure professionali di fama internazionale e di altissimo
IED Moda Lab is the first integrated and
global training System that truly answers
the needs for more and more diversified and
specialised professionals in the Fashion
System.
Through its three specific didactic areas –
Creativity and Design, Image and
Communication and Marketing and
Products – IED Moda Lab trains profes-
sionals demanded by all the most impor-
tant sectors in the fashion world, from
creative activities to strategies, from
organisational issues to business process-
es and from marketing to image and com-
munication activities. The added value of IED Moda
Lab education springs from the synergies among
these three different didactic areas, together with the
specific courses carried out in each ambit, thus we
have a school that boasts a privileged and constant
relationship with leading enterprises in the Italian
Fashion Pipeline, or what we could call the largest
world-wide association of industrialists and creative
professionals of “fashion”.
METHOD AND PHILOSOPHY
Project culture is the kindling fire of a var-
ied and flexible education pathway, that
is based upon the bond between
“knowing” and “knowing how to do”,
capable of generating strong self
motivation in young professionals
investing in their future.
In order to answer the demands for
competently trained figures for a
Design System constantly under
evolution, course curricula are
continuously up-dated and the
faculty comprises of fully fledged
lecturers and professionals, capable
of instilling applied competencies and con-
stant innovation.
Theoretical lessons are flanked by project work-
shops, cultural seminars, competition entries,
cycles of conferences and visits to enterprises and
production plants. Both in-house laboratory and
external exercises carried out in direct contact with
enterprises , allow students to measure their cre-
ative skills by realising concrete projects.
Fur thermore, relationships with companies and the
working world permits students on the one hand to
grasp the most vanguard trends, both in terms of
taste and technological innovation and, on the other
hand, constantly experiment new languages and
modalities of expression which are in harmony with
the changes of social costume.

professional figures of high profile and international
prestige, that constitutes a valid support and the refer-

zata altamente qualificata rivolti a profes-
sionisti e laureati italiani e stranieri.
costruirsi un futuro come progettista for-
mato e autorevole.
re senso critico, capacità analitiche, metodologiche e
tecnologie e prodotti.
to di formazione.
Sono previste 1500 ore di attività formativa suddivise
fra lezioni - in aule attrezzate e dedicate - laboratorio
a fine corso.
parte didattica.
Nei Master specialistici per uniformare le competen-
ze all’interno del gruppo, sono previsti percorsi inte-
grativi gestiti dai tutor o dai docenti e attivabili in
caso di necessità.
A YEAR OF RESEARCH AND INNOVATION
The RSP Master courses are highly qualified
in-depth study programmes that address
both Italian and foreign professionals and
graduates. These education pathways have
been devised for those who wish to spend
some time to reflect and grow professional-
ly, for those who feel they need new stimuli
and opportunities and for those who want
to build a future for themselves as a fully
fledged designer.
Throughout one whole year, from November
to October, through full time commitment,
these RSP Master courses have the set
goal of developing critical, analytic and
methodological skills and competencies
and to instil how to pinpoint innovative con-
cepts. In other words, to train people who
will have the awareness, courage and
capacities to imagine and re-design technologies and
products. The courses are run in either English or in
Italian with English translations and taught by a highly
qualified faculty and professionals with longstanding
experience and expertise in teaching. 1500 study hours
are envisaged divided among lessons in dedicated
equipped classrooms – project laboratories, visits to
enterprises, trade fairs, exhibitions and museums, par-
ticipation in cultural events, conferences and encoun-
ters with the protagonists and key figures of a dynamic
professional world that is constantly evolving and intern-
ships during or at the end of the course in companies.
Relations with enterprises, public organisations and
agencies in the various reference sectors, is in fact, an
integrated part of workshop activities that are carried
out following specific briefs negotiated with the compa-
nies and developed in collaboration with them. During
the elaboration of these projects not only is the support
and guidance of the co-ordinator and faculty envisaged,
but also that of consultants/tutors to be activated in
function of specific topical aspects of the projects.
These Masters can be either generally or specific in
nature according to the topic being studied.
Integrated study pathways are envisaged for the spe-
cialisation Master courses to render the skills and com-
petencies of the whole group uniform, these are taught
by tutors or members of the faculty and implemented
whenever necessary.

PROGETTO DI TESI
L’ultima parte dell’anno di corso sarà dedi-
cata al progetto di tesi.
IED Moda Lab dedica molta attenzione alla
scelta delle aziende con cui sviluppare que-
st’esperienza che è un momento fondamen-
tale nel percorso formativo del Master in
quanto consente di sviluppare la propria
progettualità su problematiche reali, di
conoscere dall’interno le realtà produttive
e di sperimentare una simulazione profes-
sionale.
LE MIGLIORI AZIENDE
Caratteristica fondamentale e imprescindibi-
Negli
anni passati, Sistema Moda Italia, SPW
Company, Vogue, Edizioni Condè Nast S.p.A.
hanno fornito know-how e hanno collaborato
alla strutturazione dei progetti realizzati
durante le diverse edizioni dei Master.
CONOSCERE IL SISTEMA MODA
Modain, Prato Expo e IdeaComo.
THESIS
The latter part of the year will be dedicated
to the thesis project.
IED Moda Lab pays attention to the choice
of the factories with which it develops this
experience which is a key moment in the
Master’s education pathway, as it allows
the student to develop the capacity to
design while confronting real-life problems,
to experience the realities of production first
hand and to undergo a professional simula-
tion experience.
THE LEADING COMPANIES
A necessary and fundamental characteris-
tic of a Master is partnerships with com-
panies, public organisations, and Fashion
System Agencies. IED Moda Lab has col-
laborated with the most important compa-
nies in the fashion pipeline for years. In
recent years (Sistema Moda Italia, SPW
Company, Vogue, Edizioni Condé Nast
S.p.A.). They have supplied the know-how
for and have collaborated in the structuring
of projects carried out during the different
Masters’ editions.
GETTING TO KNOW THE FASHION SYSTEM
During the year an intensive programme of
visits is planned. In addition to companies
which manufacture men’s and women’s
clothing, bags, knitwear and yarns, stu-
dents will also visit international exhibi-
tions and the most important trade fairs of
this sector, amongst which: Pitti Filati,
Modain, Prato Expo and IdeaComo.
Conferences and encounters with key play-
ers, and visiting professors in the project labs, all com-
plete the panorama of training opportunities.
CONSTANT ASSISTANCE
In addition to the Master co-ordinator, students can also
refer to a tutor throughout the whole education pathway,
for personalised assistance in individual problems and in
all aspects of organisation and management.
A BUSINESS CARD FOR THE BUSINESS WORLD
Internships in the various companies are the first funda-
mental moment of contact and awareness between the
candidate and the reality of the company with which
they are collaborating. During the Master, this train-
ing/work activity will be constantly monitored by the
school itself, which will also support the student at the
