nese e in mitologia e’ simbolo di gioia e di buon augurio

per chi deve affrontare una dura prova. E Masters rac-

chiude in se’ questi significati.

ce idea del fondatore Renato Zaltron, si possa costru-

ire una solida realtà, dove i valori sono ben radicati: la

Many people don’t know that the crane, in the Japanese

popular culture and mythology, is the symbol of joy and

a good omen for who has to face a hard challenge. And

Masters holds all these senses.

In 35 years, the company shows how the eclectic

founder Renato Zaltron shaped a reliable reality from a

simple idea, where values are firmly rooted: customer

satisfaction, quality of a made in Italy product, a strong

corporate social responsibility and respect for the en-

vironment.

Just as origami - from a simple sheet of paper - is

able to express thousand elaborated and meaningful

shapes, Masters has been able to translate the multiple

dreams of travellers and sportsmen in a range of well-

studied and long-lasting poles.

Here’s how Masters comes forward with next SS13 sea-

son “The Beauty Of Natural Translation” project and it

relates crane as iconographical symbol for a successful

and optimistic idea for the future. As well as hope for

UTILIZING RENEWABLE ENERGY.

Masters takes pride in providing outdoorsmen with top quality products,

but not at the expense of the environment. At the end of May 2011, we be-

gan utilizing our 99,9 kWh photovoltaic system. The 555 panels divided into

10 lines connected to respective inverters have been installed to produce

energy equal to 108.000,00 kWh per year and save 80 tons of Co2/year.

Thanks to a sunny day, results are immediate and the increase of the saved

CO2 is high. Being part to a small environmental improvement is satisfying.

NO-TOXIC MATERIALS REDUCING CHEMICAL EXPOSURE.

Common varnishes, screen printing inks and plastic parts, are generally

made of chemical compounds that are not biocompatible. However that is

not the case with the Masters Trekking Poles. The company wants to cre-

ate a biocompatible and valuable pole: the colors are completely lead free

(Reference Norm. ASTM E 1645-1). A product complying with REACH norms

(CE) n. 1907/2006. We want Masters products to be a direct reflection of

our deep respect for the environment and human health.

UTILIZZANDO ENERGIE RINNOVABILI.

A tutti coloro che amano la vita all'aria aperta Masters è orgogliosa di pro-

porre un prodotto di alta qualità che non reca danno all'ambiente. Dalla fine

di maggio 2011, utilizziamo il nostro impianto fotovoltaico da 99,9 kWh. I

555 pannelli suddivisi in 10 linee collegate ai rispettivi inverter sono stati

posizionati per produrre energia pari a 108.000 kWh l’anno e risparmiare

ben 80 tonnellate di Co2 l’anno.

UTILIZZANDO MATERIALI NON TOSSICI CHE RIDUCONO

L’ESPOSIZIONE CHIMICA.

Le comuni vernici, gli inchiostri utilizzati in serigrafia e tutte le parti plasti-

che sono generalmente prodotte con componenti chimici non biodegrada-

bili. Ma questo non è il caso dei bastoni trekking Masters. L’azienda intende

infatti offrire un prodotto bio-compatibile e di valore aggiunto: i colori sono

completamente privi di piombo (regolamentazione ASTM E 1645-01). Un

prodotto in linea con la normativa REACH (CE) n. 1907/2006. Vogliamo che

i prodotti Masters riflettano il nostro profondo rispetto per l’ambiente e per

la salute dell’uomo.

The strap, using a unique automatic stop mechanism,

ensures maximum security and performance. The

automatic strap is simple to adjust and easy to lock

in the correct and most comfortable position. Further-

more, in case of falls, the strap automatically unlocks

freeing the hand and avoiding possible injuries to the

wrist.

spring. When ascending close the system, when de-

The new Antishock System CSS “Cushioning Spring

System” matches Kompressor® technology with

the common systems in the market. But unlike an-

yone else, Masters has reached a new goal: keeping

our patented technology, we avoid to connect the

adjustment of sizes with the ON/OFF Antishock Sy-

stem. In this way, it will be safer: adjust the sizes,

the system is working! To lock the system, push the

first section firmly and turn anticlockwise. To unlock

again the antishock, turn lightly the first section

clockwise.

Il nuovo sistema di antishock CSS “Cushioning

Spring System” unisce la tecnologia Kompressor An-

tishock® con il concetto dei comuni sistemi presen-

ti oggi nel mercato. Ma diversamente da ogni altro,

Masters ha raggiunto un nuovo risultato: partendo

dal nostro brevetto, abbiamo evitato di confondere

la fase di regolazione delle sezioni con l’attivazione

o disattivazione del sistema. In questo modo è no-

tevolmente più sicuro: regola l’altezza desiderata, il

sistema sta già lavorando! Per chiudere, spingere con

decisione la prima sezione e ruotarla in senso antio-

rario. Per aprirlo nuovamente, ruotare dolcemente la

prima sezione in senso orario.

RBS Replacement Basket System (PATENTED)

PLASTIC PARTS

CALU is the right answer to the desire of low weight

combined with maximum strength. CALU is com-

posed by a core of the highest strength aluminium

and a most superb quality of woven carbon. Out-

performs is full-carbon in all its aspects and it has

the same weight. But the weakness of full-carbon

used alone, to absorb diametrical forces, has been

eliminated by Bi-Material CALU, which is the result of

several years of research. The diametrical forces are

what a telescopic pole has with the locking system.

CALU, in fact, is a Bi-Material tube, with both mate-

rials fully integrated: it combines the properties of

highest possible tensile strength with extremely high

bending resistance again break (tensile strength test

gave a result of 70 Kg/meter) assuring full capacity

and high performance over the time. The product is

environmentally safe and free of heavy metals and

polycyclic-aromatics (PCA) as often found in carbon

and carbon composites materials.

CALU è la giusta risposta al desiderio di leggerezza e

resistenza. È composto da un cuore in alluminio e un

rivestimento della migliore qualità di fibra di carbo-

nio. Esternamente quindi presenta tutte le caratteri-

stiche e stesso peso di un bastone in 100% carbonio.

Grazie agli studi fatti, diversamente dai bastoni rea-

lizzati totalmente in carbonio o con una percentuale

di esso, CALU può contrastare i colpi diametrali. Si

tratta di un tubo in bi-materia, dove i due elementi

sono perfettamente integrati uno con l’altro, senza

l’utilizzo di colle: combinando l’alto carico di rottu-

ra ad una flessibilità notevole (I test di tenuta hanno

raggiunto un risultato pari a 70 Kg/metro), la durabi-

lità e la sicurezza raggiungono livelli maggiori. Inoltre

il materiale rispetta l'ambiente perchè completamen-

te privo di piombo e altri elementi dannosi spesso

ritrovati nel carbonio.

basket in an easy and quick way : small basket ø 55

mm for frozen snow and trekking during spring and

summer time; larger baskets ø 85, ø 95 or ø 120 mm

are used with powder snow. The special materials

guarantee durability and efficiency in all atmospheric

weather changes and frost: this is possible thanks

polymers at sub-freezing temperatures. DuPont® ma-

terials guarantee their performance to -50° C and up

to +40° C.

THE BENEFIT OF USING MASTERS

NORDIC WALKING POLES

Nordic Walking, a variation of the simple walk coming from the summer trainer of

cross-country skiers using special poles, it is a great help in postural re-education

and it is an excellent exercise to achieve a good physical wellbeing without tiring out

articulations, ideal for who wants to lose weight and for elderly people. Poles used

are TOTALLY DIFFERENT from trekking or ski poles and they are equipped with gloves

that allow to adopt a particular stance of your hands.

steady pace with 7.000 steps so less than one hour, you should open/close your hands

7.000 times. An efficient pump effect for blood circulation.

A right excercise and nordic walking poles reduce the load carried by knees by ap-

proximately 5% every step. This translates into Kg of weight even on 7.000 steps.

The technique also provides the "rolling foot" (heel-sole-forefoot) and the counter-

rotating of shoulder-pelvis axis that allows to remove any blocks in the articulations,

pelvis and shoulders as well as a massage of invertebral spaces.

BASTONE DA NORDIC WALKING MASTERS

Il nordic walking, una variazione della camminata semplice derivante dall'allenamen-

to estivo dei fondisti, è sicuramente di grande aiuto nella rieducazione posturale ed

è un ottimo esercizio per raggiungere un buon benessere fisico senza affaticare le

articolazioni. E' l'ideale per chi vuole perdere peso e per gli anziani.

I bastoncini che si usano sono di fatto MOLTO DIVERSI da quelli da Trekking o da sci

e sono muniti di guantini che permettono una conduzione particolare. Infatti, quando

si è nella fase della spinta del bastoncino, la mano non stringe lo strumento, bensì è

completamente aperta e rivolta con il palmo verso terra. La mano stringe invece la

manopola nella fase di recupero, quando occorre portarlo davanti al corpo.

Se questo può sembrare poco, basta pensare ad un percorso di 5 Km che con un

passo medio è percorribile in 7000 passi. Ciò vuol dire che in meno di un'ora di cam-

minata avremmo aperto e chiuso la mano per ben 7000 volte e ciò si riassume in un

effetto pompa efficientissimo per tutta la circolazione sanguigna del nostro corpo.

E' sempre questo movimento e l'utilizzo del bastoncino a far sì che le articolazioni

vengano caricate di un 5% in meno del peso del proprio corpo sulle ginocchia, ad ogni

passo. Se il 5% non è abbastanza, pensate ai 7000 passi e per semplice moltiplica-

zione vedrete che in meno di un'ora di cammino avremmo scaricato migliaia di Kg in

meno sulle articolazioni delle ginocchia.

La tecnica prevede inoltre la rollata del piede (tallone-pianta-avampiede), la contro-

rotazione dell'asse spalla-bacino che si traduce, con una lunga e costante pratica,

in una rimozione dei blocchi articolari nel bacino e nelle spalle, come un massaggio

degli spazi intervertebrali.

MATERIALSWe offer a range of trekking poles with a clear conscience of what we pre-sent is the best in term of quality and long duration.Most part of our trekking collection is made with aluminum alloy 7075 T6 F56 Ergal: low-density, malleable (at any temperatures), high tensile strength and corrosion resistance due to special process. Our extruded tu-bes are successively tempered and artificially aged. Manufacturing is made in Italy and each tube is checked by exclusive and automatic machines and by ability of our technicians. Aluminum is 100% recyclable. Besides, we supply models made in CALU® (worldwide eclusive rights) high technological material composed by a core of aluminum 7075 and a most superb quality of woven carbon. Tensile strength tests gave a result of 70 Kg/meter. (See our technical specification for more information).
