La pelle

Scegliamo pellami di prima qualità, affidandoci a conciatoriche sfruttano gli antichi metodi risalenti all’Impero Romano.La concia al vegetale è ancora oggi il metodo più ecologico di concia, la più tradizionale e riconoscibile, l’unica che lascia ben visibile l’impronta digitale di ogni pelle, perché rispetta la naturadella materia. La pelle conciataal vegetale assorbe e incorporain sé il tempo che passa,e testimonia l’uso che se ne fa.

Leather

We choose top quality leathers, relying on tanners that use the old methods dating back to the Roman Empire. Vegetable tanning is still the most environmentally friendly method, the most traditional and recognizable, the one that leaves the fingerprint of every skin visible, because it respects the natureof matter. The vegetable tanned leather absorbsand incorporates in itselfthe passage of time, and truly testified the use that’s come out of it.

Le scarpe

Sono autentici capolavori.C’è chi realizza una scarpa in un’ora…noi siamo meno bravi, ci servono ancora 3 settimane. La nostra lavorazione consiste nella scelta di pellami pregiati, colorati con i tannini degli alberi, suolein vero cuoio, lavaggi con acquae sassi, anziché utilizzare plastiche,colori al cromo e fare merce prodottain serie. L’aspetto vissuto delle scarpe MT è poi ben conservato nelle nostre stupende scatole di legno.

Shoes

Our shoes are authentic masterpieces.There are people who make shoesin one hour... We are not as quick,we need three weeks.Why? Our work consists in the choiceof fine leather, which is stainedby the tannings of trees, the makingof real leather soles, the washingof the products using water and stones instead of using plastic, and finally finishing the goods, which we produce in collections. This long but tedious process is the key to the qualityand authenticity within our brand.The “worn” look of MT shoes is well preserved in our beautiful wooden boxes.

Si può scegliere tra: “Mi compro qualcosina per darmi una calmatina” e “Mi compro qualcosa di davvero bello e piango una volta sola”.Le nostre borse nasconodopo lunghe fasi di lavorazioni,in cui le mani dei nostri artigianisono le protagoniste; tra le fasipiù belle c’è l’intreccio manualedei fili di pelle su se stessie il cucito a mano con ago e filo.

La nostra storia ha inizio nel 1848, quando tutto cominciò con il nostro tris nonno nel ridente borgo chiamato Montepulciano, luogo in cui ancora oggi risiede il nostro negozio storico.Oggi siamo un team familiare ma anche internazionale, con negoziin Europa, U.S.A. e Canada.
