Einer der seltenen Badeorte des vorigen Jahrhun-derts, der noch in seinen ursprünglichen Anlagen

erhalten geblieben ist: Gärten, blumengeschmückte Alle-en, Kurhaus und Hotels in altem Stil. Im Zentrum befinden sich die Thermalanlagen international bekannt durch die Heilkraft ihrer für Italien einzigartigen Arsen-Eisenquellen. Zu Füßen des Städtchens liegt wie ein Fjord der blaugrüne Levicosee: dort kann man fischen, rudern und Wasserspie-le betreiben. Die Therme und das Klima von Levico bieten den Gästen in den Hotels, den Campingplätzen und in den Ferienwohnungen Gesundheit und Wohlbefinden, Sport und Erholung an der frischen Luft, Spaziergänge über die Hügel zwischen Schlössern und Biotopen; man kann auch das alte, wertvolle Stadtzentrum, die Handwerksläden und die Trentiner-Tiroler Küche erkunden. Über Levico liegt auf 1500 Metern Höhe der Ort Vetriolo, wo das Thermalwas-ser aus den Felsen quillt. Noch höher, die Panarotta ist der westliche Ausläufer der Lagorai-Kette, wo Täler und Berge, kleine Bergseen und Almhütten auch bei tagelangen Wan-derungen eine noch unberührte Natur bewahrt haben. Ge-genüber von Levico liegt die Hochebene von Vezzena, die ausgedehnteste des Trentino, mit ihren welligen Flächen ist sie ein beliebtes Ziel für Sommerwanderungen inmit-ten von Wiesen, Wäldern, Almen und alten Sperrforts aus dem Ersten Weltkrieg.

Eén van de zeldzame negentiende-eeuwse kuuroorden waarvan de oorspronkelijke vorm bewaard is gebleven:

tuinen, met bloemen versierde straten, thermen en stijlvolle hotels. In het centrum bevinden zich de thermen, die op me-disch gebied internationale bekendheid genieten om hun efficiënte therapieën op basis van arseen- en ijzerhoudend water dat uniek is in heel Italië. Aan de voet van dit stadje ligt het blauwgroene meer van Levico dat qua vorm lijkt op een fjord. Men heeft volop de mogelijk voor watersporten: vissen, roeien en diverse waterspelen. Levico biedt haar gasten in de hotels, op de campings aan het meer en in de appartementen, gezondheid en welzijn, sport en amusement in de open lucht, wandelingen op de heuvels langs kastelen en door natuurge-bieden, een wandeling door het historisch centrum op zoek naar kunst, cultuur, nijverheid en naar de streekgerechten van Trentino. Achter Levico, op een hoogte van 1500 meter, ligt het plaatsje Vetriolo dichtbij de grotten waar het thermale water uit de rotsen stroomt. Nog hoger, de Panarotta is de eerste top van de bergketen Lagorai ,die wordt gekenmerkt door valleien, bergen, bergmeertjes, berghutten en een intact gebleven na-tuur om dagenlange bergwandelingen te maken. Tegenover Levico ligt de uitgestrekte en lichtglooiende hoogvlakte van Vezzena, een paradijs voor vakantiegangers die in de zomer kunnen wandelen door de weilanden, in de bossen, naar ber-ghutten en naar oude militaire fortificaties.
