RAZIONALE

La gestione delle malattie infiammatorie croniche intestinali (IBD) è in continua evoluzione, e, per il suo Congresso Nazionale, l’Ita-lian Group for the study of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IG-IBD) intende approfondire quanto è più attuale oggi e ciò che si può intravedere nel futuro in termini di strategie, nuovi farmaci e novità di gestione e tecnologiche. Il presente della gestione dei pazienti affetti da IBD è già del tutto ricco di sfide e di novità: farmaci con variabili profili di rischio/beneficio, necessità di multidisciplinarietà, aperture alla telemedicina, novità in termini di gestione dei pa-zienti quanto più possibile aderenti al concetto di treat-to-target. Il futuro dell’assistenza e della ricerca nel campo delle IBD appare una sfida con pagine ancora tutte da scrivere, come si conviene a quanto ci attende. Quest’anno IG-IBD accoglie la sfida di portare l’ambito dell’aggiornamento nel campo della gestione delle IBD dal consueto format in presenza ad un format che l’emergenza pandemica ci costringe a portare dalla presenza all’online. Tutta-via vogliamo mantenere l’attenzione a ciò che emerge dai grup-pi italiani affiliati alla nostra rete, per cui, nonostante il passaggio alla struttura online ed alla formazione a distanza, abbiamo deci-so di mantenere uno spazio per le comunicazioni di studi italiani, sperando di favorire in questo modo la crescita del nostro Paese nell’ambito internazionale.

Le principali tematiche che saranno affrontate nel programma saranno:

• Il ruolo della fibrosi nelle IBD

• Il posizionamento dei farmaci nelle IBD

• La sovrapposizione tra IBS ed IBD

• La medicina di genere nelle IBD

• L’imaging cross-sectional nelle IBD

• L’ecografia nelle IBD

• L’utilizzo delle tecniche di intelligenza artificiale nell’endoscopia delle IBD
