Il 2012 di Kessel Racing si chiu-de, cosi come si era aperto, con la “12 Ore del Golfo”, che con le due edizioni di inizio e fine anno, immaginate come due parentesi, racchiudono al loro interno i numeri e le immagini di una stagione lunghissima ed

affascinante. Un anno vissuto sempre al limite tra una gara e l’altra, spesso senza poter tirare il fiato tra una trasferta e la successiva, con a “casa” pochissimo tempo a disposizione per fare il “rialzo” alle vetture, mentre tal-volta la squadra è già al lavoro nei diversi autodromi del Vecchio Continente per qualche giornata di test, oppure a gareggiare nel Ferrari Challenge o in qualche catego-ria GT. Una stagione che si è snodata attraverso appun-tamenti internazionali che hanno visto ancora una volta in alto il nome di Kessel Racing. Per la quarta volta con-secutiva siamo Campioni tra i Team e tra i Piloti, que-sta volta con Dalle Stelle e Zampieri, nell’International G.T.Open Championship nella classe GTS, categoria che ci ha visto Campioni a partire dal 2009 e che stagione dopo stagione ha visto moltiplicare la competitività con squadre e piloti fortissimi. Campioni nella classe GTS e sempre competitivi anche nella categoria SGT dove ab-biamo conquistato una vittoria in gara, contro avversari anche qui di grandissimo livello. Nella Serie Blancpain abbiamo raccolto meno di quanto meritavamo. La no-stra vettura di punta è sempre stata al livello dei migliori team ufficiali rivali, e solo alcune circostanze avverse ci hanno privato di quel successo che abbiamo sfiorato in più occasioni. Proprio nella Blancpain Endurance Se-

ries abbiamo avuto in occasione delle gare di Monza e del Nurburgring, quale pilota Valentino Rossi. Parlare di Rossi è come parlare di Senna, Schumacher, Mara-dona, Magic Johnson, Federer, insomma un Campione epocale. Averlo avuto in gara con una nostra vettura, ha rappresentato un momento d’orgoglio e di prestigio per tutti noi, che in quei giorni, abbiamo goduto oltre che per le gesta del Campione, della sua popolarità e simpatia. Nel G.T. Sprint non ci siamo confermati Campioni per pochi punti. Avremo motivazioni più forti per la prossi-ma stagione. In questa serie abbiamo avuto in squadra per le gare del Mugello un “ex” F1 di grande livello come Ivan Capelli. Infine, ma non per ultimo il Ferrari Chal-lenge. Dopo il Mondiale conquistato nel Trofeo Pirelli del 2011 al Mugello sembrava quasi impossibile avere un altro Mondiale in bacheca. Invece, dopo aver perso per una classifica che lo dava a pari punti, ma con un piazzamento in meno il Titolo Europeo Gentlemen, la Finale Mondiale ha voluto restituire a Fons Scheltema quanto tolto il giorno prima, regalando a lui ed a tutto il team questa gioia. E’ un 2012 che ora consegniamo agli archivi felici per quello che abbiamo conquistato e con la consapevolezza che la prossima stagione sarà anco-ra più difficile di quella che abbiamo appena concluso. Anche perché, il tempo stringe ed alla prossima gara, la prima del nuovo anno, manca sempre meno tempo. Questo è il nostro modo di pensare, di affrontare le sfi-de che ci si pongono davanti. Un “modus vivendi”, che unito alla passione della nostra squadra ed alle capacità agonistiche dei nostri piloti, ci permette anno dopo anno di affrontare avventure sportive sempre più difficili ed avvincenti. E sarà così anche nel 2013.

The year 2012 ends as it had started for Kessel Racing with the “Gulf 12 Hours”: the two races at the start and at the end of the season enclose a very long and fascinating year of motorsports. A year at the limit between one race and the next, often without the possibility to breath between one competition and the following and not much time at all “at home”, to improve the cars, while the team is already at work at one of the tracks in the Old World for testing, or racing in the Ferrari Challenge or some other GT Championship. So it was a long season with many races all over the world, where the name Kessel Racing came out on top. For the fourth time in a row we’re Team and Drivers’ Champions, this year with Dalle Stelle and Zampieri in the International G. T. Open Championship in the GTS class. A category where we’ve been Champions since the year 2009 and where season after season the competition became harder and harder due to new teams and strong drivers. We’re the Champions in the GTS class and always competitive in the SGT category, where we gained a win in the race with an incredibly fierce competition. In the Blancpain Series we gained less than we actually deserved. Our top car was al-ways up where the best official teams were. Only some difficult moments didn’t let us gain the suc-cess we came so close several times. It was in the Blancpain Endurance Series where we had Valen-tino Rossi behind the wheel at the race in Monza and at the Nürburgring. Talking about Rossi is like talking about Senna, Schumacher, Maradona,

Magic Johnson, Federer… an epochal champion. It was a great honour that he drove one of our cars and we were incredibly proud. We enjoyed the champion’s gesture as well as his popularity and his character. In the G.T.Sprint series we missed the title by a whisker. We’ll now be even more mo-tivated in the next season. In this series we had an ex-F1 driver like Ivan Capelli join our team for the races in Mugello. Last but not least: the Ferrari Challenge. After we had gained the world title in the 2011 Trofeo Pirelli Championship it seemed almost impossible to reach another title. With the same amount of points, but with inferior final positions for the European Gentlemen’s title in the Finali Mondiali, in the end Fons Schelte-ma and the team could celebrate nevertheless after the exciting last races. 2012 can now be filed and we’re very happy with how everything went and what we won. We know that the next season will be even more difficult than the one just concluded. Time is short and the next race, the first in 2013, is almost just around the corner. This is how we think and work, approaching the challenges ahead. Our “modus vivendi” - combined with our team’s passion and the motorsport spirit of our drivers – allows us to address our more and more difficult and demanding challenges year after year. And it will be just like this in 2013.

Archiviato il 2011 ricco di emozioni e di successi, inizia per Kessel Racing un 2012 che si annuncia ricco di impegni e di sfi de. La prima delle qua-li è in programma già per il prossimo fi ne setti-mana sul tracciato di Yas Marina ad Abu-Dhabi. Per la dodici ore Kessel Racing schiererà in pista una Ferrari F458 GT3 al cui volante si alterne-ranno quattro piloti: Philipp Peter, Michael Bro-niszewski, Antonio Coimbra e Miguel Ramos. La gara vedrà al via oltre una quarantina di vetture, con presenti alcuni dei migliori equipaggi endu-rance del panorama internazionale.

Filed the 2011, rich of emotions and successes, for Kessel Racing starts a 2012, announced full of appointments and of challenges, whose fi rst is al-ready planned for the next weekend on Yas Mari-na track in Abu-Dhabi. For the “12 hours”, Kessel Racing will line in the track a Ferrari F458 GT3, whose wheel will turn four racers: Philipp Pe-ter, Michael Broniszewski, Antonio Coimbra and Miguel Ramos. The race will see at the start more than forty cars, with present some of the best en-durance crew in the international landscape.

Si è da poco conclusa la ”12 Ore del Golfo” gara

endurance disputata sul tracciato di Yas Marina.

Kessel Racing ha iniziato in modo positivo la sta-

gione conquistando la seconda posizione assoluta

in entrambe le frazioni che hanno caratterizzato

la maratona di Abu Dhabi. La 458 GT3 condotta

da Peter/Broniszewski/Ramos/Coimbra, ha prece-

duto l’Audi R8 di Enzo Potolicchio, Alex Popow

e Ryan Dalziel, facendo segnare tempi di straor-

dinario livello sino all’ultimo dei quasi 300 giri

percorsi nell’ambito della gara.

It’s just fi nished the 12 Hours of Gulf, endurance

held on Yas Marina track. Kessel Racing started

positively the season, conquering the second po-

sition overall in both fractions, that character-

ized Abu Dhabi Marathon. The 458 GT3, driven

by Peter/Broniszewski/Ramos/Coimbra, preced-

ed Enzo Potolicchio, Alex Popow and Ryan Dal-

ziel’s Audi R8, clocking times of extraordinary

level, until the end of the 300 laps done during

the race.

Con la “4 Ore di Monza” in programma per il

prossimo fi ne settimana all’Autodromo Nazionale

di Monza entra in scena la stagione motoristica

2012. Kessel Racing che ha già avuto due anticipi

stagionali con la partecipazione alla “12 Ore del

Golfo” ed alla prova del Paul Ricard della Winter

Series dell’Interational GT Open Championship,

sarà presente a Monza con una vettura. Di scena

saranno nuovamente Lorenzo Bontempelli e Be-

niamino Caccia, mentre il terzo pilota è al momen-

to ancora da defi nire, al volante di una Ferrari 458

GT3, la stessa vettura che ha permesso a Bontem-

pelli di aggiudicarsi nella scorsa stagione la classe

GTS dell’International GT Open Championship.

Il programma del fi ne settimana monzese prevede

per venerdì 23 marzo due sessioni di prove libere,

una al mattino dalle 10.45 alle 11.30, ed una al

pomeriggio dalle 14.00 alle 14.45. Sabato 24 mar-

zo sono in programma le prove uffi ciali a partire

dalle ore 11.35, mentre Domenica 25 marzo il via

alla gara è previsto per le 9.40. La copertura della

Dunlop Endurance Champions Cup prevede un

magazine da 26 minuti in onda su Sportitalia 2

in onda il giovedì successivo alle 24. La replica

andrà in onda sempre su Sportitalia 2 il sabato

successivo alle 13.00.

With the “4 Hours of Monza”, planned for the

next weekend at Monza Circuit, comes the

motorsport season 2012. Kessel Racing, that

already had with two seasonalstarts with the

participation at the 12 hours of the Gulf and at

the Paul Ricard with the Winter Series for the

International GT Open Championship, will be

present at Monza with a car. On stage, there

will be again Lorenzo Bontempelli and Benia-

mino Caccia, while the third racer has still to

be defined, at the wheel of a Ferrari 458 GT3,

the same that allowed to Bontempelli to win

in the last season the class GTS of the Interna-

tional GT Open Championship. The program

of Monza weekend provides for Friday 23rd

of March two sessions of free practice, one in

the morning from 10.45 to 11.30 and one in

the afternoon from 14.00 to 14.45. Saturday

24th of March there are in program the free

practice from 11.35,while on Sunday 25th of

March the start is provided at 9.40. The cover-

age of the Dunlop Endurance Champions Cup

provides a magazine of 26 minutes on Sporti-

talia 2 on Thursday after midnight. Replication

will be always on Sportitalia 2 the next Satur-

day after 13.00.

Dopo aver conquistato la prima fi la e la secon-

da posizione in qualifi ca, la Ferrari 458 GT3 del

Kessel Racing si è aggiudicata la “4 Ore di Monza”

grazie all’equipaggio composto da Bontempelli/

Caccia/Zampieri, che hanno preceduto nell’ordine

la 458 GT3 di Rangoni/Mulacchè e l’altra 458 GT

di Black Bull Team condotta da Inverizzi/Ventu-

ri/Maino. I tre piloti della vettura elvetica hanno

preso la testa della gara quando mancavano cir-

ca due ore alla bandiera a scacchi ed hanno ben

presto imposto un ritmo impossibile per gli altri

concorrenti. Il prossimo appuntamento con Kes-

sel Racing è fi ssato per la settimana prossima con

un doppio appuntamento: nuovamente a Monza

per l’esordio nel Ferrari Challenge, mentre al Paul

Ricard sarà di scena la Le Mans Series.

After having conquered the first line and the

second position in qualify, KesselRacing’s Fer-

rari 458 GT3 adjudged the “ 4 hours of Monza”,

thanks to the crewBontempelli/Caccia/Zamp-

ieri, who preceded, in order, the 458 GT3 of

Rangoni/Mulacchè and the other Black Bull’s

458 GT, driven by Invernizzi/Venturi/Maino.

The three racers oh the Helvetic car took the

leadership of the race, when missing about

two hours to the checkered flag and soon im-

posed an impossible rhythm for the others. Net

date with Kessel Racing is for next week with a

double date: newly in Monza for the debut in

the Ferrari Challenge, while at the Paul Ricard

Doppio impegno agonistico per Kessel Racing a

Monza e al Paul Ricard. Il primo fine settimana

di aprile vedrà Kessel Racing impegnato ai mas-

simi livelli e su due palcoscenici distinti nelle

gare di apertura della Le Mans Series, del Fer-

rari Challenge e del G.T.Sprint. Al Paul Ricard

sarà di scena la LMS nella quale gareggeranno

come nella scorsa stagione Michael Broniszew-

ski e Philipp Peter con la loro Ferrari 458 GT2.

Mentre una parte del team sarà dunque in Pro-

venza, il resto sarà in pista a Monza dove andrà

in scena il primo atto di due serie che vedono

Kessel Racing protagonista: Ferrari Challenge

e International G.T.Sprint Series. Nel Ferrari

Challenge che vede da questa stagione le se-

rie italiane ed europea unificarsi, Kessel Racing

schierà cinque vetture, tutte nella Coppa Shell

con Alexis De Bernardi, Fons Scheltema, Mar-

co Zanuttini, Giorgio Raffaeli e Daniel Künzli.

Sempre a Monza vanno in scena i primi due atti

dell’International G.T.Sprint Series. Nella spet-

tacolare serie di gare con le vetture G.T. avremo

in pista due equipaggi con Petrini/Sorti e Bocel-

lari/Delli Guanti.

Double challenge for Kessel Racing in Monza and

at Paul Ricard On the fi rst weekend of April Kessel

Racing will be exceptionally busy on two stages in

the opening races of the Le Mans Series (LMS),

the Ferrari Challenge as well as the G.T.Sprint. At

the French track Paul Ricard the LMS is ready for

the fi rst round, where Michael Broniszewski and

Philipp Peter will race their Ferrari 458 GT2, like

in the last season. Therefore a part of the team

will be in Provence, while the rest will be busy at

the track in Monza, where the fi rst act of two im-

portant series will be played with Kessel Racing

as a main protagonist: the Ferrari Challenge and

the International G.T.Sprint Series. In the Ferrari

Challenge - where this year the Italian and the

European series are held together - Kessel Rac-

ing starts fi ve cars, all of them in the Shell Cup,

with Alexis De Bernardi, Fons Scheltema, Marco

Zanuttini, Giorgio Raffaeli and Daniel Künzli.

Meanwhile the fi rst two races in the International

G.T.Sprint Series will also be held in Monza. In

this spectacular racing series with GT cars we’ll

have two driver duos on the track: Petrini/Sorti

and Bocellari/Delli Guanti.

È appena terminato un intenso fi ne settimana ago-

nistico che ha visto impegnato Kessel Racing su

due fronti: al Paul Ricard per la prima tappa della

Le Mans Series ed a Monza per la prima prova del

Ferrari Challenge e dell’ International G.T.Sprint

Series. Al Paul Ricard dove era in programma la

6 Ore, la Ferrari 458 GT2 condotta da Michael

Broniszewski e Philipp Peter ha chiuso in terza

posizione nella categoria “Pro”. A Monza nella pri-

ma gara di Coppa Shell, Scheltema ha chiuso in

quinta posizione, Künzli in settima, De Bernardi

in decima, Raffaeli in undicesima mentre Zanuttini

ha chiuso in diciannovesima posizione. La secon-

da gara caratterizzata da un contatto in partenza

che ha eliminato l’incolpevole Zanuttini, ha visto

Scheltema in sesta posizione fi nale e primo tra i

Gentlemen. In ottava posizione si è classifi cato De

Bernardi, seguito in decima posizione da Raffaeli,

mentre Künzli ha chiuso in dodicesima posizione.

Nell’International GT Sprint Series vittoria nella

classe GTS Cup per Bocellari in gara due, mentre

Sorti ha chiuso in settima posizione.

An intense weekend of motorsports just came to

an end, where Kessel Racing faced battles on two

fronts: at Paul Ricard for the fi rst round in the Le

Mans Series and in Monza at the fi rst races in the

Ferrari Challenge and the International G.T.Sprint

Series. At the Paul Ricard circuit, where the 6

Hours of Le Castellet were held, the Ferrari 458

GT2 driven by Michael Broniszewski and Philipp

Peter crossed the line third in the “Pro” category.

Meanwhile in Monza - � at this season’s fi rst Shell

Cup race - � Scheltema came in fi fth, Künzli sev-

enth, De Bernardi tenth, Raffaeli eleventh and Za-

nuttini 19th. The second race was determined by

a collision at the start, which lead to the end of

the race of an innocent Zanuttini, while Scheltema

crossed the line sixth in the overall classifi cation

and fi rst amongst the Gentlemen. Eighth position

went to De Bernardi, followed in tenth position by

Raffaeli, while Künzli crossed the line in 12th po-

sition. In the International GT Sprint Series victory

in the GTS Cup went to Bocellari in race two, while

Sorti came home in seventh position.

11.04.2012 // COMUNICATO STAMPA / PRESS RELEASETorna in pista nel prossimo fi ne settimana Kes-sel Racing e per la terza volta da inizio stagione a Monza. In questa occasione è la Blancpain En-durance Series ad essere protagonista. Impernia-ta su sei appuntamenti quali Monza, Silverstone. Paul Ricard, Spa- �Francorchamps, Nurburgring e Navarra, Blancpain Endurance Series è giunta alla sua seconda edizione e vedrà a Monza impegnate oltre cinquanta vetture confrontarsi sull’arco del-le tre ore. Kessel Racing a Monza vedrà in pista ben quattro vetture iscritte nelle tre categorie che caratterizzano il folto parco concorrenti. Nella categoria “PRO” saranno in pista Gattuso/Rigon/Zampieri, con la Ferrari 458 GT3, nella “PRO AM” avremo due 458 GT3, una affi data a Valen-tino Rossi in coppia con Uccio Salucci, e l’altra affi data a Basso/Forgione/Mugelli, nella categoria ribatezzata “Gentlemen Trophy” avremo invece un Ferrari F430 Scuderia GT3 affi data a Andreasi/Caccia/Paladino. Il via della gara è previsto nella giornata di domenica per le ore 12.15.

Kessel Racing is back on the track on the up-coming weekend in Monza, the third time since the start of the season. This time the Blancpain Endurance Series is on the race calendar. The six races in the Blancpain Endurance Series will held in Monza, Silverstone. Paul Ricard, Spa- Francorchamps, at the Nürburgring and in Na-varra. It’s the second season for the series, while over 50 cars will compete in the three hours of the race. Kessel Racing will start with four cars in the three categories in Monza. While Gattu-so/Rigon/Zampieri will start in the PRO catego-ry with the Ferrari 458 GT3, two 458 GT3 will be raced in the “PRO AM” category, one with Valentino Rossi and Uccio Salucci, the other with Basso/Forgione/Mugelli behind the wheel. Meanwhile a Ferrari F430 Scuderia GT3 will be started into the renamed “Gentlemen Trophy” with Andreasi/Caccia/Paladino. The race will start on Sunday at 12:15 CET.

Il primo round del “Blancpain Endurance Series”

si è concluso oggi pomeriggio a Monza con una

affermazione di classe per Kessel Racing, al ter-

mine di tre ore di gara a lungo condizionata dalle

pioggia. Gattuso/Rigon/Zampieri che scattavano

dalla “pole-position” hanno chiuso la loro prova in

quarta posizione assoluta dopo un inseguimento

iniziato quando dopo circa due ore di gara l’asfalto

intriso d’acqua ha iniziato timidamente ad assume-

re sembianze più consone ad una pista. Oltre al

quarto posto assoluto nella Classe “PRO”, il botti-

no di Kessel Racing annovera il nono posto nella

categoria “PRO AM” per Valentino Rossi e Salucci.

Giunto sino alla nona posizione assoluta, la vet-

tura di Rossi e Salucci ha scontato un contatto in

prima variante con una vettura più lenta, che ne

ha condizionato l’assetto per il resto della competi-

zione. Meno fortunati Basso/Forgione/Mugelli che

hanno dovuto abbandonare per un inconveniente

meccanico quando mancava un ora alla bandiera a

scacchi. Il successo per Kessel Racing è giunto con

la vettura iscritta nella classe “Gentlemen Trophy”

con Andreasi/Paladino/Caccia con la sempre com-

petitiva Ferrari F430 Scuderia, che condotta con

grande astuzia nelle prime convulse fasi di gara ha

consegnato a Kessel Racing il primo successo nella

serie. Il prossimo appuntamento con Kessel Racing

è fi ssato la settimana con il secondo round del Fer-

rari Challenge e dell’International G.T.Sprint Series

sul tracciato Dino ed Enzo Ferrari di Imola.

Kessel Racing delights in the rain at Monza. The

fi rst round in the “Blancpain Endurance Series”

ended this afternoon at Monza with a confi rmation

of the Kessel Racing team’s extraordinary class at

the end of a three-hour-long race determined by

heavy rain.Gattuso/Rigon/Zampieri, who started

from pole position, concluded the race in fourth

overall position after a pursuit race, which started

after around two hours into the race when the tar-

mac started to dry up and the track looked like

a proper circuit. Besides the fourth overall place

and the “PRO” category Kessel Racing gained

nineth overall place in the “PRO AM” category

with Valentino Rossi and Salucci.While in ninth

overall position the car driven by Rossi and Salucci

had a collision with a slower car at the fi rst cor-

ner, which compromised the car’s set up for the

rest of the competition. Less fortunate were Basso/

Forgione/Mugelli, who had to retire due to a me-

chanical problem one hour before the end of the

race. In the “Gentlemen Trophy” category Kessel

Racing celebrated a success with Andreasi/Paladi-

no/Caccia in the always competitive Ferrari F430

Scuderia, which was driven with determination in

the fi rst part of the race, therefore bringing home

Kessel Racing’s fi rst victory in the series. The next

event with Kessel Racing is set for next weekend at

the second round of the Ferrari Challenge and the

International G.T. Sprint Series, held on the Dino

and Enzo Ferrari circuit in Imola.

Racing a Imola per il secondo round stagionale del

Ferrari Challenge e dell’Internationali G.T.Sprint

Series. Iniziamo proprio dal G.T.Sprint che dopo

le gare di Monza, culminate con il successo di

Bocellari in gara due, vedrà l’arrivo di una nuo-

va vettura e di un nuovo pilota nella formazione

di Kessel Racing. Ai due equipaggi Petrini/Sorti e

Bocellari/Delli Guanti si aggiungerà Lorenzo Bon-

tempelli al volante di una Ferrari F430 G.T.2. Per

il pilota italiano si tratta dell’esordio nella serie di

“mini-endurance”, nella quale entra solo dal secon-

do round, ma con grandi ambizioni circa il risul-

tato fi nale. Nel Ferrari Challenge saranno invece

cinque le vetture in pista per Kessel Racing con De

Bernardi, Künzli, Raffaeli, Scheltema e Zanuttini. Il

monomarca del Cavallino Rampante sarà di scena

già dalla giornata di venerdi per alcune sessioni di

giri liberi, mentre il GT Sprint metterà le ruote in

pista da sabato mattina. La copertura televisiva sarà

affi data per quanto riguarda il Ferrari Challenge

alla diretta televisiva su uno dei canali di SKY Sport

e sui canali di Motors TV, mentre per il G.T.Sprint

la diretta sarà trasmessa da uno dei canali di RAI

Season’s second round for Ferrari Challenge and

G.T.Sprint in Imola One week after the race in the

Blancpain Series held in Monza, Kessel Racing is

already back on the track, this time in Imola, for

this season’s second round in the Ferrari Chal-

lenge and the International G.T. Sprint Series. In

the latter, the G.T. Sprint, where Bocellari won

race 2 in Monza, a new car as well as a new dri-

ver will appear in the Kessel Racing lineup. Next

to the drivers’ pairings Petrini/Sorti and Bocella-

ri/Delli Guanti now Lorenzo Bontempelli can be

found behind the wheel of a Ferrari F430 GT2.

For the Italian driver this is his fi rst appearance in

this “mini-endurance” series, where he starts as of

the second round with great ambitions regarding

the fi nal result. Meanwhile in the Ferrari Challen-

ge fi ve cars will be on the track for Kessel Racing,

driven by De Bernardi, Künzli, Raffaeli, Scheltema

and Zanuttini. The Ferrari Challenge will be on the

track as of Friday for free practice sessions, while

the cars participating in the GT Sprint series will

start on Saturday morning. Live TV coverage for

the Ferrari Challenge will be broadcast on one of

the SKY Sport channels and on Motors TV, while

the G.T. Sprint races will be shown live on one of

the RAI Sport channels as well as on Motors TV.

Una domenica ricca di colpi di scena quella vissuta

da Kessel Racing sul tracciato “Enzo e Dino Fer-

rari” di Imola, teatro del secondo appuntamento

stagionale di Ferrari Challenge ed International

G.T.Sprint Series. Nel G.T.Sprint, serie nella quale

ha gareggiato Lorenzo Bontempelli, il pilota italia-

no al volante della Ferrari F430 G.T.2 ha conqui-

stato due podi con un terzo ed un secondo posto

alle spalle del vincitore Palma. Nella classe GTS

Cup Bocellari in gara uno ha terminato al quarto

posto sfi orando il podio, mentre il suo compagno

di vettura Delli Guanti ha terminato in quinta posi-

zione. L’altra Ferrari F430 condotta dall’equipaggio

Petrini/Sorti ha chiuso le proprie gare in nona e se-

sta posizione. Nel Ferrari Challenge la giornata non

è stata delle più fortunate per il team di Grancia. In

gara uno il miglior risultato è giunto da Scheltema

quarto sotto la bandiera a scacchi e primo tra i gen-

tlemen. Subito dietro si è classifi cato Zanuttini al

quinto posto, De Bernardi ha chiuso in dodicesima

posizione, mentre Raffaeli e Künzli non sono giun-

ti al traguardo. In gara due la possibile terza posi-

zione di Scheltema è svanita a tre giri dal termine

dopo un contatto con un altro concorrente alla

Variante Alta. Out sfortunatamente anche Künzli,

le tre vetture rimaste in gara si sono classifi cate in

nona posizione con Zanuttini, in decima con De

Bernardi ed in undicesima con Raffaeli, vincitore

tra i Gentlemen. Il prossimo appuntamento con il

Ferrari Challenge ed il G.T.Sprint è fi ssato per il 3

giugno al Mugello.

An exciting Sunday with many surprises for

Kessel Racing at Imola’s “Enzo e Dino Ferrari”

circuit, stage of this season’s second round in

the Ferrari Challenge and the International G.T.

Sprint Series. In the G.T.Sprint, the series the

Italian Lorenzo Bontempelli, behind the wheel

of the Ferrari F430 G.T.2, gained two places on

the podium – a third and a second place – be-

hind the winner Andrea Palma. In the GTS Cup

Bocellari concluded race one with a fourth place,

almost on the podium, while his car companion

Delli Guanti fi nished in fi fth. The other Ferrari

F430 - driven by Petrini/Sorti -crossed the line

in the two races in ninth and sixth position re-

spectively. Today wasn’t a lucky day for the team

from Grancia in the Ferrari Challenge. In race

one, the best result was obtained by Scheltema,

who crossed the line fourth and fi rst in the fi eld

of the gentlemen drivers. Right behind him Za-

nuttini came in fi fth, while De Bernardi crossed

the line 12th and Raffaeli and Künzli had to re-

tire. In race two, three laps before the end, third

position for Scheltema ended up in smoke after

a collision with another car in the Alta corner.

Unfortunately Künzli didn’t cross the line, while

the three cars left in the race came home in ninth

position with Zanuttini, in in tenth with De Ber-

nardi and in 11th with Raffaeli. The next round

of the Ferrari Challenge and the G.T. Sprint se-

ries will be held in Mugello on 3 June.

Inizia dal Portogallo l’avventura 2012 di Kessel

Racing nell’International Open GT Championship,

la serie Internazionale che ha dato nelle ultime

stagioni grosse soddisfazioni in termini di risultati

al Team di Grancia. Sarà il tracciato di Algarve a

Portimao ad ospitare il primo round stagionale, al

quale Kessel Racing si presenterà con una squadra

di tutto rispetto con ben cinque equipaggi. Micha-

la Ferrari 458 GT2 nella classe denominata GTS.

Nella categoria denominata SGT saranno invece le

Ferrari 458 GT3 protagoniste con Zampieri/Dalle

ron/Alexander. Le vetture saranno già in pista da

giovedi per delle sessioni di test, mentre da vener-

Kessel Racing’s 2012 adventure in the Interna-

tional Open GT Championship starts in Por-

tugal. A racing series, where the team from

Grancia-Lugano gained some great results in

the past seasons. This year the Championship

starts at the Algarve in Portugal, in Portimao,

and Kessel Racing will present itself with an ex-

ceptional team with six couples at the start. Mi-

chael Broniszewski and Philipp Peter will race

the Ferrari 458 GT2 in the GTS class. In the

SGT category the GT3s will start with Zamp-

ieri/Dalle Stelle, Mantovani/Cecchellero, Kre-

mer/Earle and Baron/Alexander. The cars will

be on the track as of Thursday for test sessions,

followed by free practice sessions on Friday and

the qualifying on Saturday as well as the first

race over 70 minutes with a change of driver,

while Sunday’s race runs over 50 minutes as

Bilancio positivo per Kessel Racing al termine del

primo fi ne settimana di gare dell’International

Open G.T. con le gare disputate sul tracciato di

Portimao in Portogallo. Nella prima gara disputata

nella giornata di sabato sono giunti due podi con-

quistati da Broniszewski/Peter, secondi al traguar-

do con la Ferrari 458 G.T.2 nella categoria SGT

e da DalleStelle/Zampieri con la 458 G.T.3 terzi

classifi cati per quanto riguarda la classe GTS. Ma

ottime prestazioni sono giunte anche dagli altri

equipaggi schierati dal team di Grancia, con Man-

tovani/Cecchellero in quinta posizione di categoria

e Earle/Kremer e Alexander/Calari rispettivamente.

Nella seconda gara disturbata inizialmente dalla

pioggia che ha reso diffi cili le condizioni della pista

portoghese, nella classe SGT Broniszewski/Peter

hanno chiuso in sesta posizione di classe, facendo

registrare il giro più veloce in gara. Nella catego-

ria riservata alle vetture GTS Dalle Stelle/Zampieri

hanno sfi orato il podio giungendo in quarta po-

sizione davanti a Cecchellero/Mantovanial quinto

posto e a Earle/Kremer in sesta posizione. L’altra

458 G.T.3 affi data a Alexander/Calari ha chiuso

la sua prova in nona posizione di classe. Il pros-

simo appuntamento per Kessel Racing con le gare

dell’International G.T. Open è fi ssato per l’ultimo

fi ne settimana del mese di maggio sul tracciato te-

desco del Nurburgring.

Positive record for Kessel Racing at the end of

the fi rst weekend in the International Open G.T.

races with the runs held on the Portimao circuit

in Portugal. In the fi rst race, held on Saturday,

Broniszewski/Peter crossed the line second with

the Ferrari 458 G.T.2 in the SGT series, while

DalleStelle/Zampieri with the 458 G.T.3 came

home third in the GTS category. Great perfor-

mances also by the other driver couples from the

team from Grancia, with Mantovani/Cecchellero

in fi fth position in their category as well as Ear-

le/Kremer and Alexander/Calari. In the second

race, which started in the rain and created some

problems on the Portuguese track, Broniszews-

ki/Peter crossed the line in sixh position in the

SGT category, while also setting the fastest race

lap. In the category for GTS cars Dalle Stelle/

Zampieri almost gained a place on the podium,

crossing the line fourth, ahead of Cecchellero/

Mantovanial (fi fth) and Earle/Kremer (sixth).

The other 458 G.T.3, driven by Alexander/Ca-

lari concluded the race in ninth position in the

respective category. The next appointment for

Kessel Racing in the International G.T. Open

race is set on the last weekend of May at the

German Nürburgring.

Il secondo round stagionale dell’International Open

GT Championship sul tracciato tedesco del Nurbur-

gring ha riservato colpi di scena a ripetizione ed anche

qualche soddisfazione a Kessel Racing. Dopo le prove

libere del venerdi, sabato si sono effettuati i due turni

di prove cronometrate, oltre gara uno, disputata sulla

tradizionale distanza dei settanta minuti. Le qualifi che

hanno messo in luce nella prima sessione Peter, autore

del terzo tempo nella classe SGT, e Zampieri, primo tra

le GTS con la 458 GT3. In sesta posizione tra le GTS si

è classifi cato Mantovani subito davanti a Calari, mentre

Earle ha chiuso in undicesima posizione. La seconda

sessione di qualifi che, ha vito Broniszewski segnare l’ot-

tavo tempo assoluto garantendosi cosi la quarta fi la del-

lo schieramento di partenza con la Ferrari 458 G.T.2.

Tra le vetture della classe GTS Michael dalle Stelle è al

sesto posto davanti a. Mantovani in ottava posizione di

classe e Kremer in decima posizione. Nel pomeriggio

del sabato si è disputata la gara uno, che ha riservato

a Kessel Racing la soddisfazione del podio nella classe

GTS per l’equipaggio Zampieri/Dalle Stelle. Alla pre-

stazione dei due giovani piloti italiani si affi ancano il

settimo posto di classe per Cecchellero/Mantovani, il

nono di Alexander/Calari ed il decimo di Kremer/Earle.

Nella classe SGT poco fortunata l’esibizione di Peter/

Broniszewski condizionati da un tamponamento subito

al via che li ha costretti al box per sostituire un pneu-

matico posteriore forato ed una successiva escursione

nella ghiaia, conclusa senza danni. La seconda gara ha

restituito il sorriso a Broniszewski/Peter secondi nella

classe riservata alle vetture GT2, dopo una gara estre-

mamente combattuta. Tra le vetture della classe GTS il

migliore piazzamento è andato a Dalle Stelle/Zampieri

giunti in sesta posizione,al nono posto si sono classifi -

cati Kremer/Earle che hanno preceduto Alexander/Ca-

lari, mentre Mantovani/Cecchellero si sono classifi cati

in dodicesima posizione di categoria. Il prossimo ap-

puntamento agonistico di Kessel racing è per la settima-

na prossima con un doppio impegno: al Mugello per il

Ferrari Challenge e Internayional GT Sprint Series ed a

Silverstone per il Blancpain GT Championship.

This season’s second round in the International

Open GT Championship, held on the German

Nürburgring track, held several surprises, but

also two places on the podium for Kessel Racing.

After Friday’s free practice sessions, the two qua-

lifyings as well as race 1 were held on Saturday

over the traditional length of 70 minutes. In the

qualifying’s fi rst session Peter, with the third fa-

stest time in the SGT category, and Zampieri, fi rst

in the GTS class with the 458 GT3, stood in the

limelight. Sixth position in the GTS went to Man-

tovani, right ahead of Calari, while Earle drove

the eleventh fastest time. In the qualifying’s se-

cond session Broniszewski crossed the line eighth

for a position in the fourth row on the starting

grid with the Ferrari 458 G.T.2. Amongst the

GTS cars Michael dalle Stelle was on sixth po-

sition ahead of Mantovani (eighth) and Kremer

(tenth). Saturday afternoon race 1 was held, whe-

re Kessel Racing gained a great place on the po-

dium in the GTS class with the two young Italian

drivers Zampieri/Dalle Stelle. Cecchellero/Manto-

vani came in seventh in their class, ninth place

went to Alexander/Calari, tenth to Kremer/Earle.

In the SGT class Peter/Broniszewski weren’t very

lucky. Due to a collision right at the start they

had to come back to the box to change a fl at rear

tyre and later on went into the gravel, this time

without any damage to the car.Race 2 brought

a smile to the faces of Broniszewski/Peter, who

crossed the line second in the class for GT2 cars

at the end of an extremely contested race. The

best result in the GTS class was gained by Dalle

Stelle/Zampieri with a sixth position. Ninth place

went to Kremer/Earle, ahead of Alexander/Calari,

while Mantovani/Cecchellero ended the race in

12th position in their class.Next weekend Kessel

Racing will be busy in two motorsport events: at

the Mugello track in the Ferrari Challenge and in

the International GT Sprint Series in Silverstone

for the Blancpain GT Championship.

si affi ancherà l’ex pilota di F1 Ivan Capelli. Per Capelli

è il debutto con una 458 GT3. ma non con Kessel Ra-

cing, con il quale aveva gareggiato qualche stagione or

sono nel Campionato Italiano G.T. Per quanto riguarda

After the intense days at the Nürburgring with the sec-

ond round in the International GT Open Champion-

ship, another challenging weekend with two races on

two different tracks awaits Kessel Racing: in Silverstone

the second act of the Blancpain Endurance Series will

be staged with three cars from the team from Grancia.

The two 458 GT3s will be driven by Gattuso-Rigon-

Zampieri and Forgione-Rostan-Gosselin, while the

Ferrari F430 Scuderia GT3 will be in the hands of the

winners in Monza, Andreasi-Paladino-Caccia. At the

same time as the race in Silverstone the third round of

the Ferrari Challenge and the International GT Sprint

Series will be held in Mugello. In the Ferrari Challenge

the drivers’ formation from the two previous races with

De Bernardi, Scheltema, Künzli, Raffaeli and Zanuttini

will be completed by the japan driver Francis Hideki

Onda. Meanwhile we have some interesting news from

the GT Sprint series: the traditional drivers’ pairs Bo-

cellari/Delli Guanti with their competitive Ferrari F430

Scuderia, will be joined by former F1 driver F1 Ivan

Capelli. For Capelli this race is the debut with a 458

GT3, but not with Kessel Racing. The Italian has al-

ready raced several times with the Kessel team in the

Domenica di grande impegno per Kessel Racing

in pista contemporaneamente su due tracciati per

Ferrari Challenge Europa ed International G.T.

Sprint Series sul tracciato di casa del Mugello,

mentre a Silverstone è andato in scena il secondo

round della Blancpain Endurance Series. Nel Ferra-

ri Challenge Europa è giunta la soddisfazione della

vittoria di Daniel Künzli tra i gentlemen in gara

uno, frazione che ha visto Zanuttini classifi carsi al

nono posto, Künzli al decimo di categoria e leader

tra i concorrenti gentlemen, mentre Scheltema è

giunto in diciassettesima posizione. Nella seconda

frazione Scheltema autore di una bella rimonta ha

chiuso settimo, Zanuttini al decimo posto e Künzli

in undicesima posizione. Giorgio Raffaeli coinvolto

in un incidente occorso al via di gara uno, non ha

Nel Trofeo Pirelli l’esordio di Francis Hideki Onda

nel Ferrari Challenge è stato contrassegnato da una

quattordicesima e da una tredicesima posizione

fi nale. Nella giornata che ha visto il suo debutto

nell’International GT Sprint Series, Ivan Capelli

con la Ferrari 458 GT3 ha vinto due volte la classe

riservata alle vetture di classe GTS 3, giungendo in

entrambe le frazioni in seconda posizione assoluta

alle spalle di Palma, quest’ultimo al volante di una

Ferrari 458 GT2. Nella classe riservata alle vettura

Cup, Bocellari/Delli Guanti hanno conquistato un

terzo posto ed un quarto posto. A Silverstone, nel

An extremely busy Sunday for Kessel Racing, at

the same time present on two different tracks,

for the Ferrari Challenge Europa and the Inter-

national G.T. Sprint Series on the home track

in Mugello, and in Silverstone for the second

round in the Blancpain Endurance Series.In the

Ferrari Challenge Europa victory was gained

by Daniel Künzli amongst the gentlemen driv-

ers in race 1, with Zanuttini crossing the line

ninth. Künzli, tenth in his category and lead-

er amongst the gentlemen drivers, Scheltema

reached 17th position. In the second run Schel-

tema had a great pursuit race, coming in sev-

enth. Zanuttini came home in tenth position,

followed by Künzli in 11th. Giorgio Raffaeli,

involved in an accident in race 1, was therefore

unable to start in race 2. In the Pirelli Trophy

Francis Hideki Onda debuted in the Ferrari

Challenge and came in 14th and 13th in the

end. On the day of his debut in the Interna-

tional GT Sprint Series Ivan Capelli won the

category for GTS3 cars twice with the Ferrari

458, gaining second position in both races in

the overall standings behind di Palma, driving

a Ferrari 458 GT2.At Silverstone in the sec-

ond round of the Blancpain Endurance Series

Kessel Racing’s 458 GT3, driven by Gattuso-

Rigon-Zampieri, crossed the line eleventh after

the three-hour race and third in the PRO cat-

egory. Another podium in the GTR class went

to Paladino- Andreasi-Caccia for a third place

in their class with the “old”, but still competi-

tive Ferrari 430 Scuderia GT3. Less lucky were

Forgione-Gosselin-Rostlan with the 458 GT3,

who ended the race further back. Kessel Rac-

ing’s next appointment on the track is set for

the third weekend in June, when the cars will

be participating in the International GT Open

Series in Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.

Kessel Racing for the third round in the Inter-

national Open GT at the Spa-Francorchamps.

The Belgium Spa-Francorchamps will host this

season’s third round of the International Open

GT Championship, where Kessel Racing will

be present with five cars. Michael Broniszews-

ki and Philipp Peter will start with the Ferrari

458 GT2 in the GTS class. In the SGT class the

Ferrari 458 GT3s will be driven by Zampieri/

Dalle Stelle, Mantovani/Cecchellero, Kremer/

Earle and Baron/Alexander. The cars will be

on the track as of Friday at 10,20 and 11,25

for two free practice sessions. On Saturday the

qualifying at 9,40 and 11,25 and at 15,00 the

first race over 70 minutes with change of driv-

ers will be held. Sunday’s race at 13,00, will be

held as usual over 50 minutes. The races can

be seen live or recorded in Switzerland on Mo-

tors TV and Sport 1+ , while in Italy they will

be shown on RAI Sport, Primo Canale. In all

other European countries the second round of

the International Open GT Championship will

Conclusione felice del fi ne settimana di Spa Fran-

corchamps per Kessel Racing con la vittoria in

gara due per Zampieri/Dalle Stelle e le grandi pre-

stazioni di tutte le vetture scese in ista sul diffi ci-

le tracciato immerso nella foresta delle Ardenne.

Alla vittoria di gara due per Zampieri/Dalle Stelle

si accompagna il terzo posto assoluto nella stes-

sa frazione, ed il terzo posto nella gara disputata

sabato pomeriggio nella classe GTS. Nella stessa

divisione Earle/Kremer hanno chiuso ottavi da-

vanti a Cecchellero/Mantovani in nona posizione,

mentre Alexander/Calari si sono classifi cati al de-

cimo posto. Peter/Broniszewski con la 458 GT2

hanno chiuso la loro gara tutta in rimonta al quin-

to posto di classe. Ai risultati di oggi si accompa-

gnano poi i piazzamenti di ieri. Del terzo posto

di Zampieri/Dalle Stelle in gara uno abbiamo già

parlato. Le altre vetture di classe GTS nella gara

del sabato hanno terminato in ottava posizine con

Kremer/Earle, in nona con Alexander/Calari ed

in docicesima con Cecchellero/Mantovani. Nel-

la classe SGT Peter/Broniszewski dopo una gara

tutta all’attacco, sono stati penalizzati per un pit-

stop anticipato ed hanno chiuso al sesto posto di

classe. Il prossimo appuntamento con il GT Open

è a Brands Hatch per la metà di luglio, mentre

Kessel Racing sarà in pista già nel prossimo fi ne

settimana in Ungheria per il Ferrari Challenge ed

International GT Sprint Series.

Happy conclusion of the weekend in Spa-

Francorchamps for Kessel Racing with vic-

tory in race two for Zampieri/Dalle Stelle

and excellent performances of all of the cars

brought on the track in the forest of the Ar-

dennes. The victory of Zampieri/Dalle Stelle

is accompanied by a third overall place in the

same category and a third place in the race on

Saturday afternoon in the GTS category. In the

same category Earle/Kremer crossed the line

eighth, ahead of Cecchellero/Mantovani in

ninth position, while Alexander/Calari gained

tenth place. Peter/Broniszewski with the 458

GT2 crossed the line fifth in their category af-

ter a pursuit race. Yesterday’s results included

a third place for Zampieri/Dalle Stelle in race

one, while the other cars in the GTS category

came home in eighth position with Kremer/

Earle, ninth with Alexander/Calari and tenth

with Cecchellero/Mantovani. In the SGT cat-

egory Peter/Broniszewski had an aggressive

race, receiving a penalty for an anticipated pit

stop and crossed the line sixth in their class.

The next race in the GT Open will be held

mid-July in Brands Hatch, while Kessel Racing

will be on the track next weekend in Hungary

for the Ferrari Challenge and the International

GT Sprint Series.

After the intense days at Spa-Francorchamps

with the third round in the International GT

Open Championship, another challenging

weekend with two races on two different tracks

awaits Kessel Racing: in Paul Ricard the third

act of the Blancpain Endurance Series will be

staged with two cars from the team from Gran-

cia. The two 458 GT3s will be driven by Gattu-

so-Rigon-Zampieri and Forgione-Beche-Gosse-

lin. At the same time as the race in Paul Ricard

the fourth round of the Ferrari Challenge and

the International GT Sprint Series will be held

in Hungaroring. In the Ferrari Challenge the

drivers’ formation from the previous races with

De Bernardi, Scheltema, Künzli, Raffaeli and

Zanuttini. In the GT Sprint series we have the

traditional drivers’ pairs Bocellari/Delli Guanti

with their competitive Ferrari F430 Scuderia.

As far as TV coverage is concerned, the race

in Silverstone will be streamed on the website

www.blancpain-endurance-series.com live from

England. The Ferrari Challenge can be seen

in Italy on SKY Sport, while in Switzerland it

will be shown on Motors.TV. The International

Il lungo week-end che ha visto impegnato Kessel

Racing all’Hungaroring per il Ferrari Challenge e

per l’International GT Sprint Championship, oltre

che al Paul Ricard per la Blancpain Endurance Seri-

es si è da poco concluso. In Ungheria sul tracciato

alle porte di Budapest nell’International GT Sprint

Championship sono giunti il secondo posto di Bo-

cellari in gara uno ed il successo di Roberto Delli

Guanti in gara due, risultati che consentono al duo

di Kesel Racing di rimanere incollati in classifi ca

generale al leader di categoria e campione uscente

2011, Goldstein. Nel Ferrari Challenge in gara uno

è giunto il nono posto di Raffaeli nella Coppa Shel-

le, che si trasforma in un successo di categoria tra i

gentlemen. Alle spalle di Raffaelei è giunto in deci-

ma posizione Scheltema, dodicesimo De Bernardi,

mentre Kunzli ha chiuso in tredicesima posizione.

Sfortunatissimo Zanuttini, autore di un grande ini-

zio gara, che a causa di una panne elettronica si è

dovuto arrestare mentre era in terza posizione. La

giornata poco fortunata di Zanuttini è continuata in

gara due, frazione alla quale il pilota italiano non

ha potuto partecipare per il persistente problema

elettronico. Poco propizia anche la seconda prova di

Raffaeli, vittima di un cambio di traiettoria troppo

repentino da parte di Lindroth. Le altre 458 Chal-

lenge si sono classifi cate in undicesima, tredicesima

e quindicesima posizione con Scheltema, Kunzli e

De Bernardi. Al Paul Ricard la Ferrari numero 71 di

Gattuso/Rigon/Zampieri è giunta terza assoluta nella

terza prova della Blancpain Endurance Series, gara

nella quale è scattata dalla “pole.position”, mentre

l’altra vettura condotta da Forgione/Beche/Gosselin

ha chiuso la propria gara centro gruppo tra i concor-

renti della classe PRO AM. Prossimo appuntamento

con Kessel Racing tra due settimane per la quarta

prova dell’International Open GT a Brands Hatch

in Inghilterra.

On this long weekend Kessel Racing was busy

at the Hungaroring in the Ferrari Challenge and

the International GT Sprint Championship, but

also on the French Paul Ricard circuit for the

Blancpain Endurance Series. In Hungary, on the

track just outside Budapest, where the Interna-

tional GT Sprint Championship race was held,

Bocellari crossed the line second in race one

and Roberto Delli Guanti won race two. There-

fore the Kessel Racing duo stays right behind

the leader in the overall classification in their

class, the 2011 Champion Goldstein. In the

Ferrari Challenge Raffaeli gained ninth place in

race one of Coppa Shell, which was the victory

in the gentlemens’ category. Behind Raffaeli

Scheltema came in tenth, De Bernardi 12th and

Kunzli crossed the line 13th. Zanuttini had an

excellent start into the race, but due to a failure

of the electronics he had to stop while in third

position. Zanuttini’s unfortunate day continued

in race two, where the Italian driver couldn’t

participate because of the failure in race one.

Meanwhile Raffaeli was the victim of Lindroth,

who changed his racing line too abrupt. The

other 458 Challenges came in 11th, 13th and

15th with Scheltema, Kunzli and De Bernardi.

At the Paul Ricard circuit the Ferrari with num-

ber 71 with Gattuso/Rigon/Zampieri close in

third place in the overall classification in the

Blancpain Endurance Series, where they started

from pole position, while Forgione/Beche/Gos-

selin crossed the line in the middle of their field

in the PRO AM category. The next appointment

for Kessel Racing is in two weeks at the fourth

round of the International Open GT Champi-

onships in Brands Hatch.

dapest, the single-marque’s series of the Pranc-

ing Horse is back for the fifth round, in Spa-

Francorchamps in Belgium. In the Shell Cup

the drivers from the previous races, De Bernar-

di, Scheltema, Künzli, Raffaeli and Zanuttini,

will start again. Also in Spa-Francorchamps

the fifth race of the International GT Sprint Se-

ries will be held, where Bocellari/Delli Guanti

start with their competitive Ferrari F430 Scu-

deria. While the Ferrari Challenge GT Sprint

will keep Kessel Racing busy in Belgium, on

the same weekend the fourth race in the Inter-

national GT Open Championship will be held

in Brands Hatch, where Kessel Racing will be

present with five teams. Broniszewski/Peter

will start in the GTS category with their Ferrari

458 GT2, in the SGT category four Ferrari 458

Con l’ultima gara del Ferrari Challenge Europa dispu-

tata a Spa Francorchamps, va in archivio un fi ne set-

timana caratterizzato dal duplice impegno per Kessel

Racing. In Belgio sulla pista immersa nel verde delle

Ardenne è andato in scena il quinto appuntamento

stagionale per il monomarca del Cavallino Rampante

e dell’International GT Sprint Series, mentre a Brands

Hatch, in Inghilterra, l’International GT Open Cham-

pionship ha vissuto il suo quarto appuntamento sta-

gionale. Iniziamo proprio dal GT Open dove Kessel

Racing ha conquistato uno splendido successo nella

classe SGT con Broniszewski/Peter nella gara disputata

sabato, mentre nella frazione domenicale l’equipaggio

della Ferrari 458 GT2 ha chiuso la propria gara in sesta

posizione di classe. Tra gli equipaggi della classe GTS

si sono confermati sul podio al secondo posto Zam-

pieri/Dalle Stelle, nuovamente in seconda posizione

di categoria, ed ora nuovi leader di campionato per la

classe GTS. Mantovani/Cecchellero dopo il terzo po-

sto di ieri hanno chiuso in quarta posizione sfi orando

nuovamente il podio, mentre Kremer/Earle hanno ter-

minato in sesta posizione con la loro Ferrari 458 GT3.

Poco fortunati invece Calari/Alexander attardati da un

“testa-coda” al primo giro e sucessivamente fermati da

una uscita nella sabbia senza danni alla vettura. A Spa-

Francorchamps dove l’acqua ha condizionato pesan-

temente tutte le gare in programma nell’International

GT Sprint Series, l’equipaggio Bocellari/Delli Guanti

con la Ferrari 430 Cup ha vinto gara uno, mentre ha

chiuso in seconda posizione tra le vetture di classe Cup

la seconda gara disputatasi nel pomeriggio. Nel Ferrari

Challenge Coppa Shell, gara uno disputata in matti-

nata ha visto il sesto posto di Scheltema (primo nella

categoria “gentlemen”), il settimo di De Bernardi e l’ot-

tavo di Küuzli, mentre Raffaeli ha terminato in quat-

tordicesima posizione e Zanuttini in diciannovesima.

Nella seconda gara, disputata a pomeriggio inoltrato,

Künzli ha chiuso in sesta posizione, primo nella clas-

sifi ca dei “gentlemen”, ottavo Scheltema, undicesimo

De Bernardi, mentre Zanuttini ha chiuso in quattordi-

cesima posizione. Raffaeli tradito dall’asfalto viscido ha

chiuso la sua gara nella ghiaia quando mancavano tre

tornate al termine.

With the last Ferrari Challenge Europe race held

in Spa Francorchamps, today a week with a dual

obligation for Kessel Racing came to an end. In

Belgium, on the legendary race track in the lush

green Ardennes, this season’s fi fth race in the

Prancing Horse’s single-marque’s Championship

and the International GT Sprint Series were start-

ed, while in Brands Hatch the International GT

Open Championship had its fourth appointment

this year. So let’s start talking about the GT Open,

where Kessel Racing conquered a splendid victory

in the SGT category with Broniszewski/Peter in the

race on Saturday, while in the race held on Sun-

day the team with the Ferrari 458 GT2 crossed the

line sixth in their category. Amongst the teams in

the GTS category second place went to Zampieri/

Dalle Stelle. Thanks to this encore the two driv-

ers are now again in second position in their class

as well as the new leaders in the Championship’s

GTS category. After their third place in yesterday’s

race, today Mantovani/Cecchellero crossed the line

fourth, coming within a whisker of the podium.

Meanwhile Kremer/Earle concluded the race in

sixth position with their Ferrari 458 GT3. Calari/

Alexander were unlucky after their car spun on the

fi rst lap and later on going onto the gravel, for-

tunately without damaging the car. Meanwhile in

Spa-Francorchamps it was the rain, conditioning

the races in the International GT Sprint Series.

Bocellari/Delli Guanti, with their Ferrari 430 Cup,

won race one, while they fi nished second in the

Cup category, the second race held in the after-

noon. In the Ferrari Challenge Shell Cup race one

was held in the morning, where Scheltema (fi rst in

the “Gentlemen category”) crossed the line sixth,

De Bernardi seventh and Künzli eighth. Raffaeli

concluded the race in fourteenth position, Zanut-

tini in nineteenth. In race two, held in the after-

noon, Künzli crossed the line sixth, fi rst amongst

the “Gentlemen”, Scheltema eighth, De Bernardi

eleventh and Zanuttini fourteenth. Raffaeli was de-

ceived by the slippery tarmac and had to end his

race in the gravel three laps before the end.

The French Spa-Francorchamps will host this

season’s fifth round of the International Open

GT Championship, where Kessel Racing will

be present with five cars. Michael Broniszewski

and Philipp Peter, the winners in Brands Hatch,

will start with the Ferrari 458 GT2 in the SGT

class. In the GTS class the Ferrari 458 GT3s

will be driven by Zampieri/Dalle Stelle, Man-

tovani/Cecchellero, Kremer/Earle and Baron/

Alexander. The cars will be on the track as of

Friday at 10,20 and 15,20 for two free practice

sessions. On Saturday the qualifying at 9,40

and 11,25 and at 15,00 the first race over 70

minutes with change of drivers will be held.

Sunday’s race at 13,00, will be held as usual

over 50 minutes. The races can be seen live

or recorded in Switzerland on Motors TV and

Sport 1 + , while in Italy they will be shown on

RAI Sport, Primo Canale. In all other European

countries the second round of the International

Open GT Championship will be shown on Mo-

La quinta tappa stagionale dell’International Open

G.T.Championship disputata al Paul Ricard va in ar-

chivio con una vittoria nella GTS, dopo un “week-

end” caldo e non solo dal punto di vista climatico.

Il “week-end” ha visto nella giornata di sabato la di-

sputa delle prove uffi ciali, caratterizzate dalle “pole”

della Aston Martin tra le GT2 in entrambe le sessioni,

con la Ferrari 458 GT2 di Broniszewski/Peter in sesta

e settima posizione. Tra le vetture SGT l’equipaggio

Dalle Stelle e Zampieri si è guadagnato rispettivamen-

te la nona e la terza posizione di classe, Cecchellero/

Mantovani hanno fatto registrare il settimo e sesto

posto in graduatoria. La 458 GT3 di Earle/Kremer ha

chiuso al decimo ed al nono posto, mentre Calari/

Alexander si sono classifi cati in ottava ed undicesi-

ma posizione sulla griglia di partenza. Passiamo alle

gare, con la prima delle due frazioni disputata sabato

pomeriggio sulla distanza dei settanta minuti, che ha

visto il successo della Aston Martin del Team Villois.

La 458 GT2 di Broniszewski/Peter scattata dal sesto

posto sulla griglia di partenza, ha chiuso in settima

posizione. Tra le GTS vittoria in gara per Autorlando

che piazza le sue Porsche in prima e seconda posi-

zione con Beretta/Puglisi e Mapelli/Hamilton. Sul po-

dio in terza posizione Dalle Stelle/Zampieri, in sesta

posizione Cecchellero/Mantovani, in nona posizione

Calari/Alexander, mentre Earle/Kremer hanno termi-

nato la loro gara in decima posizione. Al termine della

gara, a seguito di verifi che tecniche, le due Porsche

sono state poi escluse dalla classifi ca per irregolarità

tecniche riscontrate sugli scarichi. In gara due nella

classe SGT vinta da Montemini/Lopez con la Ferrari

458 GT2, l’equipaggio Broniszewski/Peter ha chiu-

so in quarta posizione ad un soffi o dal podio. Nella

classe GTS poco fortunata la domenica di Zampieri/

Dalle Stelle che hanno chiuso in nona posizione dopo

un “drive-through”, mentre Alexander/Calari si sono

classifi cati in settima posizione di classe. Earle/Kre-

mer e Mantovani/Cecchellero si sono ritirati per pro-

blemi tecnici. Il prossimo appuntamento agonistico

con Kessel Racing è fi ssato per la prossima settimana

a Spa-Francorchamps con la “24 ore di Spa”.

The season’s fi fth race in the International Open

GT Championship was held at the Paul Ricard

race track. This round will be archived with a

victory in the GTS category at the end of a hot

weekend (in every sense). On Saturday the qua-

lifyings were held, where Aston Martin took the

pole in the GT2 category in both sessions, whi-

le the Ferrari 458 GT2 with Broniszewski/Peter

had to start from sixth and seventh position

respectively. Amongst the SGT cars Dalle Stelle

and Zampieri gained ninth and third position in

their class, while Cecchellero/Mantovani drove

the seventh and sixth fastest times. The 458 GT3

with Earle/Kremer gained tenth and ninth po-

sition, while Calari/Alexander could start from

eighth and eleventh position. So what happened

in the races: the fi rst was held on Saturday after-

noon over 70 minutes, where the Aston Martin

from Team Villois crossed the line fi rst. The 458

GT2 with Broniszewski/Peter, started from sixth

position on the grid, came home seventh. In the

GTS category Autorlando put the two Porsches

in fi rst and second position with Beretta/Puglisi

and Mapelli/Hamilton respectively. Third posi-

tion on the podium went to Dalle Stelle/Zam-

pieri, sixth position to Cecchellero/Mantovani,

ninth to Calari/Alexander and tenth to Earle/

Kremer. After the race and the technical veri-

fi cations the two Porsches were excluded from

the classifi cation due to irregularities regarding

their exhausts. In race two in the SGT catego-

ry Montemini/Lopez won with their Ferrari 458

GT2, while Broniszewski/Peter crossed the line

fourth, within a whisker of the podium. In the

GTS class Zampieri/Dalle Stelle didn’t have a lu-

cky Sunday with their ninth position, caused by

a drive-through penalty. Meanwhile Alexander/

Calari gained seventh position in their class.

Earle/Kremer and Mantovani/Cecchellero had

to retire due to technical problems. The next

race on Kessel Racing’s agenda is next week’s “24

Hours of Spa” in Spa-Francorchamps.

Nella classe “PRO” troveremo la Ferrari 458 GT3 di Gattuso/Rigon/Zam-pieri, nella classe “PRO-AM” a scendere in pista saran-no Bontempelli-Gosslin-Rostan-Broneau con un’altra Ferrari 458 GT3, mentre nella divisione riservata ai “GENTLEMEN” al volante di una Ferrari 430 Scuderia troveremo Andreasi-Caccia-Paladino-Giacomo Piccini. La prova che scatterà alle ore 16,00 di sabato 28 lu-glio, ha valore per la Blancpain Endurance Series, ed attibuirà punteggi parziali per frazioni di tempo come 6 ore, 12 ore, oltre ad una classifi ca generale stilata al termine della 24 ore. Per Kessel Racing si tratta di un impegno importantissimo che vedrà schierati oltre agli undici piloti e le tre vetture in pista, anche un picco-lo esercito di quasi cinquanta persone, comprendente tecnici, meccanici, addetti alla logistica, l’accogliente hospitality, oltre al motor-home sui quali si alterne-ranno massaggiatori e fi sioterapisti per tenere sempre perfettamente in forma sia i piloti che gli altri membri del team in quella che si accinge ad essere la settimana di gare più impegnativa della stagione.

Before the Kessel Racing team from Grancia can enjoy a short summer break in this busy 2012 motorsport season, next weekend will be one of the most important races on the calendar with the Gran Turismo endurance race on the legen-dary Spa-Francorchamps race track: the 24-Hour race, part of the International Blancpain Series. Kessel Racing will go on the track with three cars and eleven drivers from different nations. In the PRO category the Ferrari 458 GT3 will be raced by Gattuso/Rigon/Zampieri, in the PRO-AM category Bontempelli-Gosslin-Rostan-Broneau will drive another Ferrari 458 GT3, while Andreasi-Caccia-Paladino-Giacomo Piccini will start with a Ferrari 430 Scuderia in the Gentlemen category. The race will start on Saturday, 28 July at 4pm and is valid for the Blancpain Endurance Series, with points for fractions of 6 and 12 hours as well as an overall classification at the end of the 24 hours. This is an extremely important race for Kessel Racing, participating with eleven drivers and three cars, but also with about 50 mechanics, logistics em-ployees, technicians, hospitality area staff and physiotherapists and masseurs at the motorho-me, to support the drivers and team members during the race, by keeping them fit at one of the most challenging races of the season.

La “24 Ore di Spa-Francorchamps” gara valida quale

quarta prova della Blancplan Endurance Series 2012,

ha visto Kessel Racing protagonista già da mercole-

di, per la parata di piloti e vetture nel centro della

cittadina belga che da il nome al celebre circuito

stradale. Dopo il bagno di folla di Spa, giovedi in pi-

sta per Kessel Racing, che nella prima mattinata del

week-end agonistico ha visto danneggiarsi in modo

irreparabile la 458 GT3 di Gattuso/Rigon/Zampieri

per una uscita di pista occorsa nelle prove libere. Le

prove uffi ciali hanno consegnato alle vetture schiera-

te posizioni di centro gruppo per le categorie PRO e

PRO-AM, classe nella quale era iscritta una 458 GT

3 per Bruneau/Gosslin/Rostan/Bontempe mentre tra

i GENTLEMEN, la 430 GT3 di Andreasi/Paladino/

Caccia/Giacomo Piccini ha fatto registrare la migliore

prestazione di categoria. La gara ha poi confermato il

fi ne settimana poco felice per Kessel Racing, con l’ab-

bandono dopo 6 ore della Ferrari F430 Scuderia GT3

di Andreasi/Paladino/Caccia/Giacomo Piccini dopo

essere stati a lungo in testa tra le vetture della loro

categoria. Medesima sorte per la 458 GT3 di Gattuso/

Rigon/Zampieri attardata nelle fasi centrali della gara

da alcuni problemi tecnici, culminati nell’escursione

fuori pista ed al successivo ritiro quando mancava-

no sei ore alla bandiera a scacchi. Neppure la 458

GT3 affi data a Bruneau/Gosslin/Rostan/Bontempel-

li è rimasta indenne da problemi tecnici nel corso

della gara di durata belga. Prima una foratura, poi

altre noie meccaniche hanno frenato l’equipaggio

della vettura numero 72, che a meno di un ora dalla

bandiera a scacchi è stata anche protagonista di uno

spettacolare incidente privo fortunatamente di con-

seguenze per il pilota italiano, in quel momento al

volante. Il prossimo appuntamento agonistico con la

Blancpain Endurance Series è ora fi ssato sul tracciato

del Nurburgring per il 22 e 23 settembre, mentre il

team sarà chiamato in pista dagli impegni agonisti-

ci dell’International GT Open Championship l’8 e 9

settembre e con Ferrari Challenge a Silverstone nella

ettimana successiva.

An unsatisfying weekend in Spa-Francorchamps

At the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, this sea-

son’s fourth race in the 20120 Blancplan Endur-

ance Series, Kessel Racing arrived last Wednesday

for the parade of drivers and cars in the centre of

the Belgian city, with the same name as the legend-

ary endurance race. After the bath in the crowd

in Spa, on Thursday Kessel Racing went onto the

circuit in the morning, where the 458 GT3 with

Gattuso/Rigon/Zampieri went off the track dur-

ing the free practice session and was damaged be-

yond repair. In the qualifying the cars started in

the PRO and PRO-AM categories – with the 458

GT 3 with Bruneau/Gosslin/Rostan/Bontempelli –

gained places in the middle of the starting grid.

Amongst the Gentlemen Drivers the 430 GT3 with

Andreasi/Paladino/Caccia/Giacomo Piccini drove

the fastest qualifying time in its category. The race

didn’t go as expected and confi rmed the unlucky

weekend for Kessel Racing. After six hours the Fer-

rari F430 Scuderia GT3 with Andreasi/Paladino/

Caccia/Giacomo Piccini had to retire from the race

after it had lead the cars in its group for a long time.

The same happened to the 458 GT3 with Gattuso/

Rigon/Zampieri, affl icted by technical problems and

an excursion off the track. The car had to retire six

hours before the end of the race. Meanwhile also

the 458 GT3 driven by Bruneau/Gosslin/Rostan/

Bontempelli had technical problems during the Bel-

gian endurance race. First a tyre failure, then other

mechanical problems and the car with number 72

came to a halt less than an hour before crossing the

fi nishing line due to a spectacular accident, luck-

ily without physical consequences for the Italian

driver. The next race in the Blancpain Endurance

Series will be held at the Nürburgring on 22 and

23 September, while the team will be back on the

track on 8 and 9 September at the International GT

Open Championship and the weekend after that in

Silverstone at the Ferrari Challenge.

paggi in pista: Michael Broniszewski e Philipp

Peter saranno al via con la Ferrari 458 GT2 nella

classe SGT. Nella categoria GTS saranno cinque le

Ferrari 458 GT3 schierate con i leader della classi-

fi ca Zampieri/Dalle Stelle, e gli equipaggi Manto-

der. A Budapest saranno in gara con una Ferrari

458 GT3 anche Gattuso/Zanuttini. Per Marco Za-

nuttini già protagonista del Ferrari Challenge sarà

il debutto nella serie europea con Kessel Racing,

mentre per Gattuso è un rientro nella serie nella

quale è ancora oggi campione nella classe GTS.

Le vetture saranno in pista da giovedi pomeriggio

per due sessioni di test alle 15,40 ed alle 18,00.

Venerdi alle ore 10,20 e 14,25 le due sessioni di

prove libere della durata di un ora ciascuna, men-

tre sabato sarà il turno delle qualifi che alle 9,00

e 11,35. La prima gara vedrà il via anch’essa il

sabato alle 15,00 e si disputerà sulla distanza dei

settanta minuti, mentre la seconda gara in pro-

gramma domenica alle ore 13,00 avrà la durata

di cinquanta minuti. Le gare saranno visibili in

diretta ed in differita in Svizzera su Motors TV e

Sport 1 +, in Italia sia su RAI Sport, che su Pri-

mo Canale, mentre per gli altri paesi europei sarà

possibile assistere alle gare attraverso Motors TV.

Si è concluso con due podi il lungo fi ne settimana

di Budapest, sesta tappa dell’International Open

G.T.Championship. Un fi ne settimana iniziato con

la “pole” di Zampieri/Dalle Stelle nelle prove valide

per la prima gara, e proseguito poi attraverso qualche

contrarietà che non ha comunque tolto lucidità alla

squadra.Archiviate nella mattina del sabato le qualifi -

che, la prima gara disputata sabato pomeriggio sulla

durata di settanta minuti ha visto il sesto posto di Pe-

ter/Broniszewski nella classe SGT. Tra le vetture della

classe GTS il miglior risultato l’hanno colto Gattuso/

Zanuttini, quarti classifi cati alla loro prima uscita sta-

gionale con la Ferrari 458 GT3. Decisamente meno

fortunata la prestazione di Zampieri/Dalle Stelle usciti

di scena quando erano in seconda posizione ed in

piena rincorsa alla testa della classifi ca, per la rottura

di un radiatore della loro vettura dopo un contatto

con la 458 di Calari/Alexander. Medesima sorte per

l’altra 458 GT3 di Mantovani/Ramos messi fuori

gara da una manovra poco ortodossa di una BMW

Z4 GT3, mentre Kremer/Earle hanno chiuso la loro

prova in sesta posizione. La seconda gara disputatasi

domenica pomeriggio e vinta da Malucelli/Barba con

l’Aston Martin del Team Villois, ha confermato il sesto

posto di Broniszewski/Peter nella classe SGT. Nella

classe GTS Zampieri/Dalle Stelle e Gattuso/Zanuttini

hanno conquistato il secondo e terzo posto alle spal-

le del vincitore Lorenzo Bontempelli con la Ferrari

F458 GT3 del Team Ombra. Mantovani/Ramos che

hanno dovuto scontare un “drive-through” per ecces-

so di velocità in pit-lane hanno chiuso al nono po-

sto, Earle/Kremer in decima posizione ed Alexander/

Calari all’undicesimo di classe. Il prossimo appunta-

mento con l’International Open G.T.Championship

è fi ssato a Monza nell’ultimo “week-end” del mese di

settembre, mentre Kessel Racing sarà in pista già nel

prossimo fi ne settimana sul tracciato inglese di Silver-

stone per la sesta prova del Ferrari Challenge Europa.

The long race weekend of Budapest ended with

two places on the podium at the sixth stage of

the International Open G.T. Championship. The

weekend started with a pole position for Zamp-

ieri/Dalle Stelle, gained in the qualifying for the

race, followed by an adversity, while the team was

able to keep the heads clear. After the qualify-

ing on Saturday morning the fi rst race, over 70

minutes, was held in the afternoon, where Peter/

Broniszewski gained sixth place in the SGT class.

Amongst the cars in the GTS class Gattuso/Za-

nuttini gained fourth place in their fi rst race this

season with the Ferrari 458 GT3. Less lucky were

Zampieri/Dalle Stelle when they had to abandon

the race while in second position heading for the

lead, when, due to a collision with the 458 of

Calari/Alexander, a radiator on their car broke.

Meanwhile the other 458 GT3 with Mantovani/

Ramos had to end the race due to a dubious ma-

noeuvre by a BMW Z4 GT3, while Kremer/Ear-

le ended the race in sixth position. The second

race was held on Sunday afternoon and won by

Malucelli/Barba with the Aston Martin from Team

Villois, while Broniszewski/Peter confi rmed their

sixth place in the SGT class. In the GTS catego-

ry Zampieri/Dalle Stelle and Gattuso/Zanuttini

gained second and third place behind the winner

Lorenzo Bontempelli with the Ferrari F458 GT3

from Team Ombra. Mantovani/Ramos, who had

to go for a “drive-through” due to excessive speed

in the pit lane, crossed the line ninth, followed

by Earle/Kremer in tenth and Alexander/Calari

in eleventh position in their class. The next race

in the International Open G.T. Championship

will be held on the last weekend in September in

Monza, while Kessel Racing will be back on the

track next weekend in Silverstone for the sixth

round in the Ferrari Challenge Europa.

Nel Ferrari Challen-ge saranno tre le vetture in pista per Kessel Racing con Daniel Künzli, Giorgio Raffaeli e Fons Schelte-ma protagonisti della Coppa Shell. Il monomarca del Cavallino Rampante sarà di scena già dalla giornata di venerdi per alcune sessioni di test nella mattinata dalle ore 9,00 alle 10,00 e la sessione di prove libere nel pomeriggio dalle 15,45 alle 16,45. Sabato sarà il turno delle due sessioni di prove uffi ciali alle 9,00 ed alle 13,30. Domenica giornata di gare con la prima gara della Coppa Shell alle ore 9,00, mentre gara due prenderà il via alle 14,30. Over six weeks ago the last race in the series was held in Spa-Francorchamps. Now, only one week after the race on Budapest of the International G.T.Open Championship, Kessel Racing is back on the track, this time in Silverstone for this season’s sixth round in the Ferrari Challenge Europe. Three cars will be on the track for Kessel Racing in the Fer-rari Challenge: with Daniel Künzli, Giorgio Raffaeli and Fons Scheltema, protagonists in the Shell Cup. The single-marque’s Championship event of the Prancing Horse will start on Friday with some test sessions in the morning from 9 to 10am, followed by the free practice session in the afternoon from 3:45 to 4:45pm. On Saturday the two qualifying sessions will be held at 9am and at 1:30pm. Sunday is race day: the fi rst race in the Shell Cup starts at 9am, the second at 2:30pm. The cars of the Ferrari Challenge will be accompanied by the FXX and the 599XX programmes as well as the F1 single-seats from the F1 Clienti department from Maranello, with the presence of Marc Genè and Felipe Massa. TV coverage of the Ferrari Challenge will be carried out live by Motors TV in Switzerland and by one of the SKY Sport channels in Italy.

pagno di squadra Giorgio Raffaeli, mentre l’elvetico

Küenzli si è dovuto ritirare per un problema tecnico

alla sua vettura, che non ha potuto schierarsi per la

seconda gara. Nel corso dello svolgimento della se-

conda frazione Giorgio Raffaeli è stato protagonista

di una uscita di pista. Il pilota italiano scattato nella

seconda frazione nel plotone centrale dei concorrenti

della Coppa Shell, si era contraddistinto nelle prime

tornate con una lunga serie di sorpassi che lo ave-

vano portato nelle prime posizioni tra i Gentlemen.

Alla curva Maggotts poi l’improvviso “testa-coda” e

l’urto contro le barriere. Subito soccorso e traspor-

tato al Centro Medico del Circuito di Silverstone, lo

sfortunato pilota è stato poi condotto al vicino Centro

Medico di Oxford per gli accertamenti di rito.

The sixth seasonal step of the Europe Ferrari Chal-

lenge, done during the week-end in the Silverstone

English track, saw Fons Scheltema’s double success

among Coppa Shell’s Gentlemen. In the fi rst sec-

tion, the Dutch racer preceded his team-fellow, Gi-

orgio Raffaeli, while the Swiss Kuenzli had to stop

for a technical problem at his car, that couldn’t do

the second race. During the second section, Gior-

gio Raffaeli was protagonist of an accident, going

out of the track. The Italian driver, who started in

the second part in the middle of the pack in the

Shell Cup, managed to overtake several competi-

tors in the fi rst corners to arrive amongst the fi rst

positions of the Gentlemen drivers. In the Mag-

gotts corner he spun his car and smashed into the

barriers. He was immediately taken to the medical

centre at the Silverstone circuit, from where he was

taken to Oxford hospital where the usual checks

were carried out.

Nuovo appuntamento agonistico per Kessel Ra-

cing, impegnato nel prossimo fi ne settimana nella

quinta prova stagionale della “Blancpain Enduran-

ce Series”, campionato caratterizzato da sei gare,

giunto alla sua seconda edizione, che vedrà in pista

al Nurburgring impegnate oltre cinquanta vetture

confrontarsi sull’arco delle tre ore. Kessel Racing

sarà in pista con ben quattro vetture iscritte nelle

tre categorie che caratterizzano il parco concorren-

ti. Come in occasione della gara che ha aperto la

stagione della serie a Monza, Kessel Racing avrà

tra i suoi piloti Valentino Rossi. Sulla nera Ferrari

458 GT3 numero 46, oltre al campione di Tavullia

si alterneranno Uccio Salucci ed Andrea Ceccato.

Rossi/Salucci/Ceccato faranno parte della categoria

“PRO AM”. Nella categoria “PRO” con la vettura

numero 71 saranno in pista Gattuso/Rigon/Zam-

pieri. Ancora nel raggruppamento “PRO AM” avre-

mo un altra Ferrari 458 GT3 con il numero 72 per

l’equipaggio Gosselin/Rostan/Bruneau, mentre nel-

la categoria ribatezzata “Gentlemen Trophy” avre-

mo la Ferrari F430 Scuderia GT3 con il numero 73

affi data a Andreasi/Caccia/Paladino. Il programma

dell’evento prevede per sabato una sessione di pro-

ve libere dalle 11,05 alle 12,35, le “pre-qualifi che”

dalle 15,15 alle 16,15. Domenica le vetture e i pi-

loti saranno in pista dalle 9,40 alle 10,40 per le

qualifi che, mentre il via della gara è previsto per le

race in the Blancpain GT Endurance Series.

New motorsport appointment for Kessel Racing

on the upcoming weekend in the fifth race of

the “Blancpain Endurance Series”, a series with

six races per season now in its second year. In

the upcoming event at the Nürburgring more

than 50 cars will race for three hours. Kessel

Racing will be on the track with four cars in

three categories. Just like on the occasion of the

series’ first race of the season in Monza, Val-

entino Rossi will be part of the Kessel Racing

team. The black Ferrari 458 GT3 number 46

will be driven by the Champion from Tavullia

and Uccio Salucci and Andrea Ceccato. Rossi/

Salucci/Ceccato will start in the “PRO AM” cat-

egory. Car number 71 will race in the “PRO”

category with Gattuso/Rigon/Zampieri behind

the wheel. In the “PRO AM” another Ferrari

458 GT3, with number 72, will be started by

Gosselin/Rostan/Bruneau, while in the “Gentle-

men Trophy” the Ferrari F430 Scuderia GT3

with number 73 is handed over to Andreasi/

Caccia/Paladino. The free practice session

will be held on Saturday from 11:05am to

12:35pm, followed by the pre-qualifying from

3:15pm to 4:15pm. On Sunday the cars will be

on the track for the qualifying from 9:40am to

10:40am, while the race will start at 2:30pm.

Uno “start” poco fortunato riassume in sintesi

meglio di ogni altra frase il risultato sancito dalla

quinta prova stagionale del “Blancpain Endurance

Series” per Kessel Racing. Le qualifi che della do-

menica mattina avevano portato sino alla terza fi la

la Ferrari 458 GT3 di Gattuso/Rigon/Zampieri, in

sesta posizione assoluta per la classe “PRO” oltre

che assoluta. Bene anche la vettura di Valentino

Rossi/Ceccato/Salucci in dodicesima fi la con il

ventitreesimo tempo assoluto, il tredicesimo tra le

vetture di classe “PRO-AM”. Leggermente più in-

dietro la terza vettura di Bruneau/Gosslin/Rostan,

anch’essa iscritta tra le vetture di classe “PRO-AM”.

La gara che ha visto la spettacolare partenza di Ri-

gon, ha avuto dopo i primi 400 metri subito un

episodio negativo con la Ferrari numero 71 chiusa

nella morsa di due vetture che hanno provocato la

rottura del braccetto dello sterzo, particolare sosti-

tuito poi ai boxes in un lasso di tempo brevissimo,

ma che ha di fatto escluso la vettura dalla lotta per

la vittoria. Grande rimonta da parte dei tre piloti,

ma classifi ca sulla quale pesa inevitabilmente l’urto

che ha compromesso la guidabilità della vettura nel

primo giro. Grande spettacolo anche da parte di

Valentino Rossi risalito sino alle posizioni di vertice

della categoria “PRO-AM” con una serie di grandi

sorpassi. La vettura 46 che ha visto alternarsi al

volante oltre al nove volte Campione del Mondo di

motociclismo, Andrea Ceccato ed Uccio Salucci ha

chiuso le tre ore di gara in nona posizione di classe.

La terza 458 affi data all’equipaggio tutto francese

costituito da Bruneau/Gosslin/Rostan ha chiuso a

centro gruppo tra le vetture di classe “PRO-AM”

la propria gara. Il prossimo appuntamento con la

“Blancpain Endurance Series” è in programma per

metà ottobre sul tracciato spagnolo di Navarra,

mentre Kessel Racing sarà in pista già dal prossimo

fi ne settimana a Monza per la settima prova stagio-

nale dell’International GT Open Championship.

An unlucky start summarises the weekend of

the fifth race of the season in the “Blancpain En-

durance Series” for Kessel Racing. In the quali-

fying, held on Sunday morning, Gattuso/Rigon/

Zampieri with the Ferrari 458 GT3 gined the

third row on the grid, the sixth starting position

in the “PRO” and overall categories. Also Valen-

tino Rossi/Ceccato/Salucci gained a good result

with their 12th row and 23rd overall time, the

13th amongst the cars in the “PRO-AM” cat-

egory. Slightly further back we found the car

with Bruneau/Gosslin/Rostan, also amongst the

starting cars in the “PRO-AM” category. Rigon

had spectacular start and after 400 metres he

experienced a negative episode with the Ferrari

number 71, wedged between two other cars,

which broke the steering column. The piece was

changed at the box in no time, but the car was

not in the fight for the win anymore. The three

drivers had an exceptional comeback, but the

car had definitely suffered in terms of driveabil-

ity from the hit at the start. Great race by Val-

entino Rossi, who managed to catch up and was

driving in the top positions of the “PRO-AM”

class due to a series of breathtaking overtaking

maneouvres. Car number 46 with the nine-time

MotoGP world Champion and Andrea Ceccato

and Uccio Salucci behind the wheel concluded

the 3-hour race in ninth position in its class.

The third 458, with the French drivers a Bru-

neau/Gosslin/Rostan, ended the race in the mid-

dle of the PRO-AM classification. The next race

in the Blancpain Endurance Series will be held

mid-October in Navarra in Spain. Kessel Rac-

ing will be back on the track next weekend in

Monza for the seventh race in the International

GT Open Championship.

The Autodromo Nazionale of Monza will host this season’s seventh round of the International Open GT Championship, where Kessel Racing will be present on the upcoming weekend as leader in GTS driver standing, and in GTS Team stand-ing. Dopo un sabato che a defi nire diffi cile sarebbe un

eufemismo, la seconda gara dell’International Open

GT Championship disputatasi nel pomeriggio, ha

riservato fi nalmente una grande soddisfazione per

Kessel Racing. Al termine dei cinquanta minuti che

hanno caratterizzato la seconda prova del settimo

round stagionale, Dalle Stelle/Zampieri con la loro

Ferrari 458 GT3 si sono aggiudicati la vittoria di

classe precedendo sul traguardo la Mercedes di De

Lorenzi/Garofano e la Porsche di Hamilton/Mapelli.

Positiva la prestazione delle altre due 458 GT3 di

Earle/Kremer quinta di categoria e di Alexander/Ca-

lari in sesta posizione tra le GTS. Poco fortunata la

prova di Mantovani/Ramos a contatto nelle fasi ini-

ziali con la vettura di Cordoni/Bontempelli, mentre

la nera vettura di Gattuso/Zanuttini dopo un scintil-

lante inizio gara davanti a tutti tra le vetture di classe

GTS, ha dovuto arrendersi ad un problema tecnico.

Nella classe SGT la prova di Broniszewski/Peter si

è conclusa ad una tornata dal termine nella sabbia

della Curva Parabolica dopo un contatto con la Por-

sche 997 di Tandy/Holzer. Nonostante l’uscita di pi-

sta la gialla Ferrari 458 GT2 si è classifi cata in ottava

posizione. Al termine del fi ne settimana di Monza

la classifi ca della categoria GTS vede Zampieri/Dalle

Stelle leader con 76 punti, davanti a Bizzarri (AF

Corse) 71 punti e Hamilton/Mapelli (Porsche Au-

torlando) con 70 punti. Saranno questi concorrenti

a giocarsi il titolo nell’ultimo e decisivo appunta-

mento in programma a Barcellona per fi ne ottobre.

Sempre nella classifi ca piloti troviamo per Kessel

Racing Mantovani e Cecchellero in ottava posizio-

ne con 20 punti, Zanuttini/Gattuso in quindicesima

posizione con 10 punti seguono poi Kremer/Earle

e Alexander/Calari. Nella classe SGT, Broniszewski/

Peter occupano la settima posizione con 35 punti.

Il prossimo appuntamento con l’International Open

GT Championship è in programma sul circuito spa-

gnolo di Montmelò per la fi ne di ottobre.

After a Saturday, which could be called “diffi cult”,

the second race in the International Open GT

Championship, held in the afternoon, eventually

brought great satisfaction to the Kessel Racing team.

At the end of the 50-minute race – the second race

in the seventh round of the season – Dalle Stelle/

Zampieri, with their Ferrari 458 GT3, gained the

win in their class ahead of the Mercedes with De

Lorenzi/Garofano and the Porsche driven by Ham-

ilton/Mapelli. A positive performance was also de-

livered by the other two 458 GT3s with Earle/Kre-

mer, fi fth in their class, and Alexander/Calari, sixth

amongst the GTS cars. Meanwhile Mantovani/Ra-

mos had an unlucky race and collided in the early

stage with the car driven by Cordoni/Bontempelli,

while the black Ferrari with Gattuso/Zanuttini, af-

ter an amazing start, had to retire due to a technical

problem, while it was leading the cars in the GTS

class. In the SGT category the race of Broniszewski/

Peter ended one lap before the end in the sand at

the famous “Parabolica” corner after a collision with

the Porsche 997 driven by Tandy/Holzer. Despite

the yellow Ferrari 458 GT2 had come off the track,

the car classifi ed in eighth position. At the end of

the weekend in Monza Zampieri/Dalle Stelle are

leading in the GTS category with 76 points, ahead

of Bizzarri (AF Corse) with 71 points and Hamil-

ton/Mapelli (Porsche Autorlando) with 70 points.

These drivers will now fi ght for the title in the last

and decisive race on the calendar near Barcelona at

the end of October. In the Drivers’ Standings Man-

tovani and Cecchellero from Kessel Racing are in

eighth position (20 points) and Zanuttini/Gattuso

in 15th position (10 points), followed by Kremer/

Earle and Alexander/Calari. In the SGT, Bronisze-

wski/Peter are in seventh position with 35 points.

The next race in the International Open GT Cham-

pionship will be held on the Spanish track in Mont-

melò at the end of October.

Per il pilota italiano si tratta dell’esordio nella

serie di “mini-endurance”, nella quale entra con

grandi ambizioni circa il risultato fi nale. Nel

Ferrari Challenge saranno invece tre le vetture in

pista per Kessel Racing con Künzli, Scheltema e

Zanuttini. Il monomarca del Cavallino Rampan-

te sarà di scena già dalla giornata di venerdi per

alcune sessioni di giri liberi, mentre il GT Sprint

metterà le ruote in pista da sabato mattina. La

copertura televisiva sarà affi data per quanto ri-

guarda il Ferrari Challenge alla diretta televisiva

One week after the race in the International

G.T.Open Championship in Monza, Kessel Ra-

cing is already back on the track, this time in

Vallelunga, for this season’s seventh round in


Sprint Series. In the latter, the G.T. Sprint, a new

car as well as a new driver will appear in the

Kessel Racing lineup. Next to the drivers’ pai-

rings Bocellari/Delli Guanti now Marco Zanut-

tini can be found behind the wheel of a Ferra-

ri F458 GT3. For the Italian driver this is his

fi rst appearance in this “mini-endurance” series,

where he starts with great ambitions regarding

the fi nal result. Meanwhile in the Ferrari Chal-

lenge three cars will be on the track for Kessel

Racing, driven by Künzli, Scheltema and Zanut-

tini. The Ferrari Challenge will be on the track

as of Friday for free practice sessions, while the

cars participating in the GT Sprint series will

La giornata conclusiva delle attività in pista

per Ferrari Challenge Europe e International

G.T.Sprint Series non è stata certamente favore-

vole a Kessel Racing. Fuori causa la vettura di Da-

niel Küenzli già dalle prove libere del venerdi per

una uscita di pista, è toccato a Fons Scheltema

difendere i colori di Kessel Racing. Classifi catosi

tredicesimo al termine di entrambe le sessioni di

qualifi ca, Scheltema in gara uno si è dovuto ar-

rendere a problemi tecnici. Nel GT Sprint, l’avvio

della prima frazione ha visto uno sfortunato con-

tatto tra Delli Guanti e Zanuttini, con quest’ulti-

mo autore di una rimonta strepitosa che l’ha por-

tato al settimo posto assoluto e quinto di classe.

In gara due, ancora problemi tecnici per Bocella-

ri con la F430 Cup, mentre Marco Zanuttini ha

conquistato il quarto posto assoluto, secondo di

categoria. Il prossimo appuntamento con Kessel

Racing è per il prossimo fi ne settimana con la gara

conclusiva della Blancpain Endurance Series sul

tracciato spagnolo di Navarra.

The fi nal day of the Ferrari Challenge and Inter-

national G.T.Sprint Series wasn’t a lucky one for

Kessel Racing. Daniel Küenzli’s car was out from

Friday’s free practice session and Fons Schelte-

ma had to defend the colours of Kessel Racing.

In both qualifying sessions he classifi ed 13th

and Scheltema had to retire from the race one

to technical problems meanwhile in the second

race Scheltema concluding the races in 15th posi-

tion. In the GT Sprint race one, Delli Guanti’s and

Zanuttini’s cars touched each other, and Zanut-

tini had a great pursuit race, concluding the race

in 7th overall place and 5th in GTS3 Class after

the fi rst race. In the second race, Bocellari had

to retire with the F430 Cup from the race for a

technical failure, Marco Zanuttini concluding the

second fraction in 4th overall place, the second

in GTS3 class. Kessel Racing will be back on the

track next weekend in Navarra for the last race in

the Blancpain Endurance Series.

Chiusura stagionale per la “Blancpain Endurance

Series” sul tracciato spagnolo di Navarra in una

domenica caratterizzata dal freddo e dalla piog-

gia. Kessel Racing con Gattuso/Rigon/Zampieri e

la Ferrari 458 GT3 numero 71, dopo una gara

disputata per lunghi tratti su di una pista al limite

della praticabilità per la quantità d’acqua cadu-

ta e conclusa in leggero anticipo dopo un lungo

periodo in regime di safety-car, ha chiuso in se-

sta posizione assoluta e di classe “PRO” l’ultima

prova stagionale. Si chiude cosi la prima stagione

di Kessel Racing nella Blancpain Endurance Serie,

serie GT spettacolare, che ha visto in pista du-

rante la stagione oltre cinquanta vetture in pista

nelle sei prove che ne hanno caratterizzato il ca-

lendario. Il prossimo appuntamento con Kessel

Racing tra tre settimane per l’ultima prova stagio-

nale dell’International Open GT sul tracciato del

Montmelò a Barcellona.

practicability due to the heavy rain and stop-

ped slightly early after a long period behind the

safety car – crossed the line in sixth place in the

overall and “Pro” category. Thus Kessel Racing’s

first season in the Blancpain Endurance Series,

the spectacular GT racing series, comes to an

end. The Series saw over 50 cars on the track

at the six races in the 2012 season. The next

racing “week-end” for Kessel Racing is held in

three weeks, this year’s last round in the Inter-

national Open GT Championship, raced on the

circuit of Montmelò in Barcelona.

New motorsport appointment for Kessel Racing

on the upcoming weekend in the seventh and

the last race of the “International G.T.Sprint Se-

ries”. Kessel Racing will be on the track with

the Ferrari F430 Scuderia Cup number 51 with

Bocellari/Delli Guanti behind the wheel. The

free practice session will be held on Saturday

from 09,00 to 09,45 and from 11,45 to 12,30.

On Sunday the cars will be on the track for race

one at 09,50 am, while race two will start at

14,50. Coverage of two races will be carried out

live by Motors TV in Switzerland and by RAI

Sport 2 in Italy.

Chiusura stagionale per l’International G.T.Sprint Se-

ries sul tracciato siciliano di Pergusa. Kessel Racing

con Bocellari/Delli Guanti e la Ferrari F430 Cup nu-

mero 51, hanno chiuso l’ultima prova stagionale con

una vittoria ed un secondo posto. Si chiude cosi la

stagione di Kessel Racing nel G.T.Sprint che ha visto

la Bocellari/Delli Guanti in seconda posizione nella

classifi ca fi nale alle spalle di Goldstein. Il prossimo

appuntamento agonistico con Kessel Racing è per il

prossimo fi ne settimana per l’ultima prova stagionale

dell’International Open GT sul tracciato del Montme-

lò a Barcellona.

Series on the Pergusa circuit in Sicily. Kessel Racing

with Bocellari/Delli Guanti and the Ferrari F430 Cup

number 51 concluded the last race of the season with

a win and a second place. This means that Kessel Ra-

cing gains second place in the G.T.Sprint fi nal stan-

dings with Bocellari/Delli Guanti behind Goldstein.

The next racing “week-end” for Kessel Racing is held

in three weeks, this year’s last round in the Internatio-

Sarà il tracciato dell’Autodromo de Catalunya di Barcellona ad ospitare l’ottavo round stagiona-le dell’International Open GT Championship, al quale Kessel Racing si presenterà nel prossimo fi ne settimana da leader nella classifi ca piloti e team della classe GTS. Saranno cinque egli quipaggi in pista: Michael Broniszewski e Philipp Peter con la Ferrari 458 GT2 nella classe SGT. Nella categoria GTS saranno quattro le Ferrari 458 GT3 schierate con i leader della classifi ca Zampieri/Dalle Stelle, e gli equipaggi Kremer/Earle, Calari/Alexander e Gattuso/Zanuttini. Giovedi giornata dedicata ai test con tre distinte sessioni dalle 10,10 alle 11,10, dalle 12,30 alle 13,30, poi nel pomeriggio dal-le 15,30 alle 16,30. Venerdi dalle ore 10,30 alle 12,10 e dalle 14,40 alle 16,20 andranno in scena le due sessioni di prove libere, mentre sabato sarà il turno delle qualifi che alle 9,40 e 11,50. La prima frazione vedrà il via anch’essa il sabato alle 15,45 e si disputerà sulla distanza dei settanta minuti, mentre la seconda gara in programma domenica alle ore 13,00 avrà la durata di cinquanta minu-ti. Le gare saranno visibili in diretta ed in differita in Svizzera su Motors TV e Sport 1 +, in Italia sia su RAI Sport, che su Primo Canale, mentre per gli altri paesi europei sarà possibile assistere alle gare attraverso Motors TV.

Ancora una volta a Barcellona, ancora una volta Cam-

pioni. La “due” giorni in terra catalana ha espresso i

suoi verdetti: Michael Dalle Stelle e Daniel Zampieri

sono Campioni 2012 tra i piloti, Kessel Racing è Cam-

pione 2012 tra i team della classe GTS. Dopo i successi

fi rmati da Michael Broniszewski e Philippe Peter nel

2009 con la Ferrari F430 Scuderia GT3, Marco Frezza

nel 2010 sempre con la Scuderia GT3, Lorenzo Bon-

tempelli e Stefano Gattuso nel 2011 con la Ferrari 458

GT3, l’ultima tappa ha consegnato a Kessel Racing

questo grande, enorme successo, che affi ancandosi

ai precedenti, ripaga tutti i componenti del team del

grandissimo lavoro svolto a casa ed in pista ad ogni

occasione. Il lungo fi ne settimana in terra spagnola ha

visto il primo successo per Marco Zanuttini in coppia

con Gattuso nella gara disputata sabato, precedendo

proprio i Campioni 2012 Dalle Stelle/Zampieri in una

gara molto particolare per la presenza sul tracciato

delle vetture della serie spagnola anch’esse in pista per

il loro ultimo appuntamento stagionale. Gara uno ha

visto al traguardo anche Kremer/Earle in tredicesima

posizione di classe e Alexander/Calari diciassettesimi,

mentre la 458 GT2 di Broniszewski /Peter ha dovuto

rallentare nelle ultime tornate di gara dopo un son-

tuoso inizio da parte di Peter. Nella seconda frazione

vinta per la classe SGT da Rizzoli/Bizzarri, Zampieri/

Dalle Stelle hanno chiuso al quarto posto garantendosi

matematicamente il tiolo tra i piloti e quello per i tea

per Kessel Racing. Tra le GTS Zanuttini/Gattuso dopo

un testacoda hanno chiuso la loro gara a centro grup-

po precedendo Earle/Kremer e Alexander/Calari. Tra le

vetture di classe SGT, Peter/Broniszewski hanno chiu-

so la gara in quinta posizione ad un soffi o dal podio. La

stagione agonistica 2012 non termina certamente qui

per Kessel Racing. I prossimi appuntamenti saranno a

Vallelunga per la classica “6 Ore”, a Valencia in Spagna

per le Finali Mondiali del Ferrari Challenge, e con la

“12 Ore del Dubai” sul tracciato di Yas Marina.

Again in Barcelona, again Champions: the

weekend in Spain ended with Michael Dalle Stelle

and Daniel Zampieri gaining the 2012 Drivers’ title

Racing celebrates another great success, thanks to

the immense work done at home and at the tracks.

During the Spanish weekend Marco Zanuttini won

together with Gattuso the race on Saturday ahead

of the 2012 Champions Dalle Stelle/Zampieri in

a particular race with the cars from the Spanish

series on the track at the same time for their last

race this year. Race 1 ended with Kremer/Earle in

13th position in their class and Alexander/Calari

17th, while the 458 GT2 with Broniszewski /Pe-

ter had to slow down on the last laps after a great

start by Peter. In the second part, the SGT class

was won by Rizzoli/Bizzarri, while Zampieri/Dal-

le Stelle crossed the line fourth, thus gaining the

Drivers’ title and the Teams’ title for Kessel Racing.

In the GTS Zanuttini/Gattuso spun their car and

ended the race in the middle of the fi eld, ahead of

Earle/Kremer and Alexander/Calari. Amongst the

cars started in the SGT class Peter/Broniszewski

crossed the line fi fth. The 2012 season doesn’t end

here for Kessel Racing. The next will be held in

Vallelunga – the traditional “6 Hours” – in Valen-

cia in Spagna for the Finali Mondiali in the Ferrari

Challenge and in Abu Dhabi with the “12 Hous of

Dubai” on the Yas Marina circuit.

tro vetture. Sulla Ferrari 458 GT2 sarà di scena

ancora l’equipaggio composto da Kola Aluko,

Thomas Kemenater affi ancati da Maurizio Me-

diani. Tra le vetture della classe GTS avremo in

pista ben tre esemplari di Ferrari 458 GT3 con

Marco Zanuttini, Steve Earle e Nicola De Marco,

un altra vettura sarà affi data a Thomas Flohr e

Francesco Castellacci, mentre al volante della

terza vettura sanno Michael Broniszewski, Pa-

olo Andreasi e Daniel Zampieri. Il programma

prevede vetture in pista sabato mattina per due

turni di prove libere dalle 9,00 alle 10,00 e dalle

9,30 di domenica.

Chiusura stagionale per la “Endurance Champions

Cup” sul tracciato “Piero Taruffi ” di Vallelunga.

Kessel Racing con Aluko/Kemenater/Mediani e la

Ferrari 458 GT2, ha chiuso in terza posizione as-

soluta e prima per la classe “VLN SP8” la “6 Ore

di Roma”. Tra le vetture della classe GTS il miglior

risultato l’hanno colto Castellacci/Flohr, terzi clas-

fi gurazione Blancpain Endrurance Series, alla loro

prima uscita stagionale con la Ferrari 458 GT3.

Meno fortunate le due 458 GT3 di Andreasi/Bro-

che hanno dovuto abbandonare per un inconve-

nienti meccanici. Kessel Racing sarà in pista già

nel prossimo fi ne settimana sul tracciato spagnolo

“Ricardo Tormo” di Valencia per le Finali Mondiali

del Ferrari Challenge Europa.

Today the 2012 season of the “Endurance Cham-

pions Cup”to an end at “Piero Taruffi ” Circuit of

Vallelunga. Kessel Racing – with Aluko/Kemenater/

Mediani and the Ferrari 458 GT2 crossed the line

in third place in the overall and fi rst “VLN SP8” cat-

egory in the “6 Hours of Rome”. Amongst the cars

in the GTS class Castellacci/Flohr gained third place

in the Blancpain Endurance Series confi guration,

in their fi rst race this season with the Ferrari 458

GT3. Less fortunate were two 458 GT3 of Andreasi/

Broniszewski/Zampieri and De Marco/Earle/Zanut-

tini who had to retire due to a mechanical problem.

nale del Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli sul Circuito dedicato a

Ricardo Tormo a Cheste, località alle porte di Valencia. Kessel

Racing schiererà nel prossimo fi ne settimana ben cinque vettu-

re, quattro delle quali impegnate nella Coppa Shell con Alexis

De Bernardi, Fons Scheltema, Marco Zanuttini e Daniel Kün-

zli, mentre il pilota di Singapore Ringo Chong sarà in pista nel

Trofeo Pirelli. Il programma prevede le vetture in pista già dalla

giornata di mercoledi con i piloti in pista per due sessioni di

test della durata di un ora, dalle 09,30 alle 10,30 per la Coppa

Shell, e dalle 10,40 alle 11,40 per il Trofeo Pirelli. Nel pomerig-

gio ancora la Coppa Shell in pista dalle 13,30 alle 14,30, men-

tre il Trofeo Pirelli sarà in pista dalle 14,40 alle 15,40. Giovedi

giornata dedicata alle prove libere con il turno dalle 09,00 alle

World Final races are in the program for Sunday, the last

timing, at 11,50 the World Final of Trofeo Pirelli. Live TV

coverage for the Ferrari Challenge will be broadcast on one

of the SKY Sport channels for Italy and on Motors TV for

L’ultimo appuntamento agonistico della stagione

2012 del Ferrari Challenge ha riservato a Kessel

Racing una grande sorpresa. Fons Scheltema con la

sua Ferrari 458 ha conquistato al termine dei 40 mi-

nuti di gara della Finale Mondiale della Coppa Shell

la prima posizione tra i gentlemen. Si chiude cosi

con un successo il fi ne settimana valenciano che

aveva visto proprio Scheltema beffato nella classifi ca

della categoria Gentlemen della Coppa Shell nella

giornata di sabato. Ma ritorniamo alla Finale Mon-

diale della Coppa Shell, dove dopo Scheltema classi-

fi catosi decimo assoluto e primo di classe, troviamo

Alexis De Bernardi, diciottesimo dopo aver trova-

to tantissimo traffi co nelle fasi iniziali di gara. Alla

Finale Mondiale non hanno partecipato Küenzli e

Zanuttini, quest’ultimo per i danni riportati dalla

propria 458 dopo l’uscita di pista di ieri. Nel fi ne

settimana si sono svolte anche le ultime prove dei

vari campionati. Il risultato migliore per Kessel

Racing lo ha ottenuto il pilota di Singapore Ringo

Chong, alla prima esperienza con Kessel Racing è

riuscito a prevalere nella seconda gara del Trofeo

Pirelli tra i concorrenti della divisione Asia-Pacifi c.

Marco Zanuttini nella prima gara aveva ottenuto il

tredicesimo posto, mentre in gara due è stato prota-

gonista dell’incidente che lo ha privato della Finale

Mondiale. De Bernardi ha chiuso in anticipo per un

“testa-coda” gara uno, mentre nella seconda frazione

ha terminato al dodicesimo posto. Daniel Küenzli

ha terminato le gare in diciottesima e ventunesima

posizione. Scheltema come già ricordato ieri, dopo

il ritiro per noie meccaniche venerdi in gara uno,

nella seconda frazione ha chiuso al decimo posto,

mentre Prinoth e Sauto suoi rivali in campionato

con il piazzamento in gara due, maturato dopo un

penalty che ha colpito Moiseev , hanno chiuso a pari

punti in campionato, ma sono stati premiati in virtù

dei migliori piazzamenti ottenuti durante la stagio-

ne. Il prossimo appuntamento agonistico con Kessel

Racing è tra meno di due settimane ad Abu Dhabi

per la “dodici ore”, ormai una classica del calendario

motoristico invernale.

The last appointment in the 2012 motorsport sea-

son in the Ferrari Challenge, caused a great sur-

prise for Kessel Racing. Fons Scheltema with his

Ferrari 458 conquered the fi rst place in the Shell

Cup Finale Mondiale 40-minute-race amongst

the Gentlemen. So the weekend in Valencia end-

ed with a big success where Scheltema had been

deluded in the Shell Cup category amongst the

Gentlemen on Saturday. In the Shell Cup Finale

Mondiale, where Scheltema classifi ed 10thoverall

and 1st in his class, Alexis De Bernardi crossed

the line 18th after heavy traffi c in the early stages

of the race. Künzli and Zanuttini didn’t partici-

pate in the Finale Mondiale. Zanuttini because

the latter damaged the 458 while going into the

track on Saturday. Furthermore the last races of

the different championships were held over the

weekend. The best result for Kessel Racing was

gained by Ringo Chong from Singapore during

his fi rst experience with Kessel: he won the sec-

ond race in the Trofeo Pirelli amongst the starters

from the Asia-Pacifi c division. In race one of Cop-

pa Shell Marco Zanuttini gained 13th place, while

in race two he had an accident and he couldn’t

participate in the Finale Mondiale. De Bernardi

fi nished his race spinning off the track in race

one, while he concluded race two in 12th place.

Daniel Künzli crossed the line 18th and 21st.

Scheltema, after his retirement on Friday, due to

mechanical problems. In race two he crossed the

line 10th, while his competitors in the Champi-

onship Prinoth and Sauto closed the season with

the same amount of points after race two, and a

penalty for Moiseev, but had better placements

throughout the season. The next event for Kessel

Racing is in less than two weeks in Abu Dhabi

for the 12-Hour-race, a classic on the winter race

calendar.

Si è da poco conclusa con la seconda edizione de

la ”12 Ore del Golfo” gara endurance disputata sul

tracciato di Yas Marina, anche la stagione agonisti-

ca 2012 di Kessel Racing. Sesta posizione fi nale

assoluta (quinta tra le vetture della classe GT3) per

la vettura di Broniszewski/Peter/Zampieri, in testa

dopo le prime sei ore di gara e rallentata successi-

vamente per un problema allo “splitter”. La gialla

458 GT3 condotta da Aluko/Cadei/Kemenater ha

chiuso in settima posizione assoluta, mentre la vet-

tura di Beche/Carugati/Cordoni/Forgione ha termi-

nato in tredicesima posizione.
