Il Calendario Epson 2012 festeggia il dodicesimo anno. L’artista-fotografo Maurizio Galimberti firma il Calendario Epson 2012 “Passato Contemporaneo” caratterizzato da sei immagini singole e altrettanti “mosaici di Polaroid”. Nato nel 2000 per celebrare i grandi nomi della fotografia italiana, il Calendario Epson festeggia quest’anno la dodicesima edizione, realizzata in collaborazione con l’artista-fotografo Maurizio Galimberti, i cui mosaici di Polaroid fanno ormai parte del mondo del collezionismo d’arte internazionale. Oppure il mosaico di Polaroid raffigurato in “Yellow Dance”, l’immagine di luglio, che ci porta nelle caotiche strade di New York con i tipici taxi gialli in “una specie di danza tra la mia fotografia, i taxi di New York e gli spazi della città. E ancora una volta la musica è protagonista, il giallo dei taxi è nel mio sentire il materializzarsi di note musicali in equilibrio ritmico tra loro”.

NEC: studenti e 3D

Un progetto pilota di ricerca pan-europea capeggiato da Texas Instruments (TI) DLP ha evidenziato un diffuso impatto positivo di fronte a contenuti didattici in 3D nelle scuole, migliorando il coinvolgimento, la concentrazione ed i risultati degli studenti. Texas Instruments, alla quale si deve l’invenzione del DLP, si è fatta promotrice di uno studio condotto assieme ai principali produttori di proiettori 3D, come NEC Display Solutions Europe per mettere a confronto le esperienze in diversi istituti scolastici europei. NEC ha giocato un ruolo determinante in Svezia, Germania e Paesi Bassi: 3 dei 7 paesi in cui è stata promosso l’esperimento pilota. Nel corso dello studio il 92% in media degli studenti era attento alle lezioni in 3D, mentre solo il 46% degli studenti prestava attenzione alle lezioni condotte con strumenti tradizionali. Parimenti, l’86% degli studenti ha migliorato i risultati dei propri test pre e dopo le lezioni in 3D, rispetto al 52% (circa la metà) degli studenti tradizionali. I punteggi individuali dei test pre e post lezione, hanno registrato un miglioramento del 17% per gli studenti 3D ed un 8% per gli studenti tradizionali.

A pilot pan-European research led by Texas Instruments (TI) DLP has highlighted a widespread positive impact in the face of a 3D educational content in schools, improving involvement, concentration, and student achievement.

Texas Instruments, to whom we owe the invention of the DLP, has promoted a study with major manufacturers of 3D projectors, NEC Display Solutions Europe as to compare experiences in different schools across Europe. NEC has played a key role in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands: 3 of 7 countries in which the pilot has been promoted.

During the study, 92% on average of the students were attentive to the lessons in 3D, while only 46% of the students paid attention to the lessons conducted with traditional instruments. Similarly, 86% of the students improved their test results before and after class in 3D, compared with 52% (about half) of traditional students. The individual test scores before and after class, showed an improvement of 17% for students and a 3D 8% for traditional students.
