LA STORIA

La Guido Panerai & Figlio, azienda fornitrice della Regia Marina Italiana, produceva a Firenze, fin dal 1860, strumenti di precisione dall’elevatocontenuto tecnologico, che avevano legato indissolubilmente il nome Paneraialle esplorazioni marine, alla misura del tempo e allo sviluppo di uno specificostandard di qualità e sicurezza, requisito di base fondamentale delle fornituremilitari.

Officine Panerai cominciò a produrre orologi nel marzo 1938 con il Radiomir,un esemplare che ha contraddistinto le imprese di cui furono protagonisti gliincursori della Marina Militare che lo indossavano al polso.

Il Panerai Luminor è considerato un orologio storicamente importante, in virtùdella robustezza e originalità del design; i pochi pezzi prodotti costituiscono,insieme ai primi Radiomir, alcune delle rarità del settore maggiormentericercate dai collezionisti.

Dal 1993, Officine Panerai si è proposta ai mercati internazionali con i rinnovatimodelli Luminor e Radiomir, diventando uno dei leader indiscussi nel segmentosportivo dell’alta orologeria.

L’OROLOGIO PANERAI MARE NOSTRUMTITANIO

Il Mare Nostrum è il cronografo che Officine Panerai sottopose alla MarinaMilitare Italiana nel 1943 come strumento da fornire in dotazione agli ufficiali dicoperta. L’andamento degli eventi troncò ogni possibile sviluppo del modello,di cui furono creati solo pochissimi prototipi – probabilmente tre in tutto - deiquali prima si persero le tracce e, in seguito all’alluvione che colpì Firenze nel1966, anche la relativa documentazione.Il ritrovamento da parte di Officine Panerai di uno dei prototipi, che ora fa partedell’Archivio Storico Officine Panerai, ha consentito di dare vita al nuovoPanerai Mare Nostrum, un modello di straordinario interesse collezionistico.

LA CASSA

La cassa del Mare Nostrum Titanio, in titanio satinato, misura 52 mm didiametro, come l’originale.Dotata di anse molto forti, è di forma tonneau, ma dà l’impressione d’essererotonda per via della larga lunetta piatta con bordo zigrinato, sulla qualespicca, come sul prototipo, un sottile segno circolare, originalmente forsedovuto a una lavorazione non portata a termine, o a un segno di riferimentoper incidere successivamente una scala.Il fondello, serrato a vite, è realizzato in titanio e reca quattro tacche per esseresvitato. La corona cilindrica di carica e regolazione, che ha il bordo zigrinato ereca incisa la scritta Mare Nostrum è a vite, mentre i pulsanti sono cilindrici edel tipo a pompa.Il vetro è in zaffiro, ottenuto dal corindone, materiale duro (è secondo soltantoal diamante), esente da impurità, trasparente, resistente alle abrasioni,antiriflesso.L'impermeabilità dell’orologio, indicata sul fondello dal simbolo , ègarantita fino a 3 bar che corrispondono alla pressione idrostatica esercitata

senso orario. Quando la corona si blocca, l’orologio è completamente carico.2. Riavvitare la corona di carica (A).

REGOLAZIONE DELL’ORA1. Svitare la corona di carica (A) ed estrarla al primo scatto (posizione 1).2. Regolare l’ora desiderata.3. Riportare la corona (A) alla posizione iniziale (0) e riavvitarla.

SECONDI CONTINUI (G)È il quadrantino dei secondi continui, posto alle ore 9. La sua lancetta si muoveanche a funzioni cronografiche arrestate.

IL QUADRANTE

Il quadrante ha la base marrone ed è su due livelli. Nella fascia esterna, piùalta, si trovano indici e numeri arabi, tutti ricoperti di materiale luminescente.In quella centrale, oltre un millimetro più in basso, si trovano le scritte di marcae modello e i due quadrantini ausiliari: a sinistra quello dei piccoli secondi, adestra il contatore dei minuti, tarato fino a 30. La notevole distanza tra i duepiani del quadrante conferisce una profondità unica al quadrante.Per assicurare un livello ottimale di luminescenza e la miglior resistenza neltempo, Panerai utilizza esclusivamente Swiss Super-LumiNova® di “Grado A”.Per la produzione di tale sostanza sono utilizzati pigmenti speciali altamenteperformanti che incrementano la durata della leggibilità approssimativamentedel 35% rispetto al Super-LumiNova® standard.

IL CINTURINO IN PELLE

Il cinturino in pelle è ipoallergenico. È corredato da una fibbia trapezoidale intitanio satinato personalizzata Panerai.

IL MOVIMENTO

Meccanico a carica manuale, esclusivo calibro Panerai OP XXV, base Minerva13-22, 12¾ linee, 22 rubini, bilanciere monometallico in Glucydur®, 18.000alternanze/ora, dispositivo antiurto Incabloc®. Sistema col de cygne. Ruota acolonna. Riserva di carica di 55 ore.

CONSIGLI PER LA MANUTENZIONEGli orologi Panerai sono costruiti secondo standard di elevata qualità.Si ricorda che le parti meccaniche dell’orologio Panerai lavorano 24 ore su 24durante l’uso, e di conseguenza per assicurare il buon funzionamento e la duratanel tempo del Suo orologio, si consiglia di sottoporlo a revisioni periodiche.

IMPERMEABILITÀFar verificare periodicamente l’impermeabilità del proprio orologio da unCentro Assistenza Autorizzato Panerai e rinnovarla ogni due anni con unamanutenzione periodica o, in ogni caso, tutte le volte che l’orologio dovesseessere aperto.Il rinnovo dell’impermeabilità implica necessariamente la sostituzione delleguarnizioni, al fine di garantirne la massima impermeabilità e sicurezza. Nel caso in cui l’orologio fosse usato in attività sportive subacquee, siconsiglia di farlo verificare ogni anno prima dell’inizio dell’attività subacquea.

IL MOVIMENTO

Far controllare periodicamente il movimento del proprio orologio da un CentroAssistenza Autorizzato Panerai, onde preservarne il perfetto funzionamento.Se l’orologio tendesse ad anticipare o a ritardare in modo significativo,potrebbe essere necessaria una regolazione del movimento. I movimenti sono concepiti in modo da mantenere inalterate le caratteristichedi marcia in condizioni di temperatura comprese tra –10°C e +60°C (14°F e140°F). Al di sotto o al di sopra di questi valori, si possono riscontrarevariazioni di marcia superiori a quelle riportate sulle specifiche tecniche. Inoltreil lubrificante contenuto nel movimento potrebbe deteriorarsi al variare delletemperature minime e massime con conseguente danno di alcuni componenti.

FUNZIONI CRONOGRAFICHELe funzioni cronografiche del Suo orologio permettono di rilevare la velocitàmedia di un oggetto in movimento e il tempo impiegato, in minuti e secondi,per spostarsi da un punto a un altro.

Pulsante di avvio/arresto/delle funzioni cronografiche (D)Una prima pressione permette di azionare la lancetta centrale dei secondicrono (H) e dopo 60 secondi la lancetta del contaminuti (F). Una secondapressione (D) arresta le lancette crono, indicando il tempo trascorsodall’inizio del rilevamento cronografico.

Pulsante di azzeramento delle funzioni cronografiche (E)Premendo questo pulsante, la lancetta centrale dei secondi crono (H) e ilcontaminuti (F) tornano istantaneamente a zero. Questo pulsante non puòessere azionato durante il rilevamento cronografico, ma solo dopo il suoarresto, ossia dopo aver premuto un seconda volta il pulsante (D).

Contaminuti (F)Posto alle ore 3, è il quadrantino dei minuti cronografici, sul quale vienetotalizzato il tempo trascorso in minuti dall’inizio del rilevamentocronografico.

Lancetta centrale dei secondi crono (H)È posta in posizione centrale. Misura i secondi trascorsi dall’inizio delrilevamento cronografico.

PULIZIA ESTERNA

Per conservarne le perfette condizioni esterne, si raccomanda di lavare il pro-prio orologio Panerai in acqua tiepida, utilizzando sapone e una spazzola mor-bida, eccetto sul Plexiglas®. Dopo tale azione, così come dopo ogni bagno inmare o in piscina, risciacquare accuratamente l’orologio con acqua dolce. Siraccomanda di non utilizzare alcun materiale o strumento abrasivo per la puli-zia del vetro Plexiglas®. Si consiglia di pulire gli orologi Panerai con un pannomorbido e asciutto.

IL CINTURINO

I cinturini Panerai devono essere lavati con acqua tiepida e lasciati asciugare.È importante non farli asciugare su una superficie calda o esporli direttamenteai raggi solari, perché la rapida evaporazione dell'acqua ne danneggerebbe laforma e la qualità. Dopo ogni bagno in mare o in piscina, occorre risciacquareaccuratamente il cinturino con acqua dolce. Per la sostituzione del cinturino e della fibbia, si consiglia di recarsi presso unDistributore Autorizzato o un Centro Assistenza Panerai. In questo modo sipotranno evitare gli inconvenienti causati da una sostituzione impropria. Solo i Distributori Autorizzati o i Centri Assistenza Panerai Le garantisconol'uso di cinturini Panerai autentici, studiati per adattarsi alle dimensioni dellacassa e realizzati secondo i criteri qualitativi della marca.

La pelle di alligatore utilizzata da Officine Panerai proviene da allevamentisituati in Louisiana – Stati Uniti. I fornitori di Officine Panerai si impegnano aoffrire i più alti standard di responsabilità assicurando che tali allevamenticontribuiscano a una costante crescita degli alligatori allo stato brado,tutelando quindi questa specie in via di estinzione. Panerai non utilizza pelli provenienti da specie in pericolo o in via di estinzioneche vivono allo stato brado.

THE PANERAI MARE NOSTRUMTITANIO WATCH

The Mare Nostrum is the chronograph that Officine Panerai supplied to theItalian Navy in 1943 as standard issue for deck officers. The historical eventsof the time put an end to any possible development of this model, of whichonly a very few prototypes were produced – almost certainly three in total – ofwhich first all trace and then all relative documentation was lost, following theflood that hit Florence in 1966. The discovery by Officine Panerai of one of the prototypes, now part of theOfficine Panerai Historical Archive, enabled the creation of a new MareNostrum: an extraordinary model from a collectors’ point of view.

THE CASE

The Mare Nostrum Titanio has a case, in brushed titanium, that measures 52 mmin diameter, like the original model. With very strong lugs, it has a tonneau shape, but looks round due to the wideflat bezel with ridged edge on which, just as on the prototype, a fine circularmark stands out, perhaps due to an unfinished process or a reference markfor a subsequent scale engraving.The screw-down back is made of titanium and has four grooves to assistunscrewing. The cylindrical winding and regulating crown, with the words Mare Nostrumengraved on its ridged edge, is of the screw-down type while the buttons arecylindrical and of the pump-type.The crystal is of sapphire, obtained from corundum, a very hard material(second only to diamond), free of impurities, transparent, resistant to abrasion,and with anti-reflective treatment.The water-resistance of your watch, indicated on the back by the symbol

HISTORY

Since 1860, Guido Panerai & Figlio in Florence had been producing precisioninstruments with a high level of technical content, becoming a supplier to theRoyal Italian Navy. These instruments have indissolubly associated the namePanerai with marine exploration, time measurement and the development of aparticular standard of quality and safety, a fundamental requirement forsupplying the armed forces.

Officine Panerai began producing watches in March 1938 with the Radiomir, amodel which played a part in the exploits of the commandos of the ItalianNavy who wore it on their wrists.

The Panerai Luminor has been recognised as a historically important watch byvirtue of the robustness and originality of its design; the small number ofexamples produced, together with the first Radiomir watches, are some of therarities most sought-after by collectors in the field.

Since 1993, Officine Panerai has offered updated Luminor and Radiomirmodels on the international market, thus becoming one of the undisputedleaders in the haute horlogerie sports sector.

WINDING THE WATCH

1. Unscrew the winding crown (A) without pulling it out (position 0) and turnit clockwise. When the crown stops, the watch is fully wound.

2. Screw the winding crown (A) down again.

SETTING THE TIME

1. Unscrew the winding crown (A) and pull it out to the first click (position 1).2. Set the correct time.3. Push back the winding crown (A) to the initial position (0) and screw it down

again.

CONTINUOUS SECONDS (G)These are indicated on the small seconds dial, at the 9 o’clock position. Thishand moves continuously even when the chronograph functions are stopped.

hydrostatic pressure exerted by a column of water on 1 square centimetre ata depth of 30 metres under normal conditions. In these circumstances yourwatch is therefore water-resistant to a depth of about 30 metres.

THE DIAL

The dial has a brown base and two levels. The outer, upper ring, bears Arabicnumerals and hour markers, all coated in luminescent material. The centrallevel, over a millimetre lower, bears the names of the brand and model and thetwo subsidiary dials. On the left the small seconds one, on the right the minutecounter, set to 30. The considerable gap between the two layers of the dialgives it unique depth.In order to ensure optimal levels of luminescence and greater resistance overtime, Panerai uses exclusively “Grade A” Swiss Super-LumiNova®. To producethis luminous substance, special high-performance pigments are used. Thisallows an increase in the duration of the readability of approximately 35%compared to standard Super-LumiNova®.

THE LEATHER STRAP

The strap in leather is hypo-allergenic. It is closed by a trapezoidal brushedtitanium buckle personalised Panerai.

THE MOVEMENT

Hand-wound mechanical movement, Panerai OP XXV calibre, base Minerva13-22, 12¾ lignes, 22 jewels, monometallic Glucydur® balance, 18,000alternations/hour, Incabloc® anti-shock device. Swan’s neck regulator. Columnwheel. Power reserve of 55 hours.

MAINTENANCE ADVICEPanerai watches are produced to very high standards of quality. It is worthremembering that the mechanical parts run 24 hours a day when in use, so thewatch must undergo regular maintenance to ensure long life and good operation.

WATER-RESISTANCEHave your watch checked periodically for water-resistance by an AuthorizedPanerai Service Centre and maintain it with regular servicing every two years,or whenever the watch has to be opened. Restoring the watch’s water-resistance necessarily involves replacing the sealsso as to ensure the maximum water-resistance and security. Where the watch is used in underwater sports activities, it is recommendedthat it should be checked each year before the season of underwater activitiesbegins.

THE MOVEMENT

Have the movement of your watch checked periodically by an Authorized PaneraiService Centre so as to maintain its perfect operation. If the watch tends to gainor lose time significantly, the movement may need to be overhauled.The movements are designed to withstand temperature variations between -10°C and +60°C (14°F and 140°F). Outside this range of temperatures,operational variations exceeding those set out in the specifications of themovement may be noticed. In addition, there is a risk that the lubricants containedin the movement may deteriorate, resulting in damage to some of its parts.

CLEANING THE EXTERIOR

To keep the exterior in perfect condition, we recommend washing your Paneraiwatch with soap and warm water, using a soft brush. After this operation, andalso after bathing in the sea or a swimming pool, carefully rinse the watch withclean water. All Panerai watches can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth.

CHRONOGRAPH FUNCTIONS

The chronograph functions of your watch record the average speed of amoving object and the time it takes, in minutes and seconds, to move fromone point to another.

Start/stop push-piece for the chronograph functions (D)Pressing it once starts the timing indicated by the central chronographseconds hand (H) and after 60 seconds by the hand of the minute counter (F).When the same push-piece (D) is pressed a second time, all the hands arestopped, indicating the time elapsed.

Reset push-piece for the chronograph functions (E)Pressing it once instantaneously returns all the chronograph hands to zero: thecentral chronograph seconds hand (H) and the minute counter (F).This push-piece must not be operated while the chronograph is running, butonly after it has been stopped by pressing the push-piece (D) a second time.

Minute counter (F)Positioned at 3 o’clock, this subsidiary dial is the chronograph minute counter,which indicates the time elapsed in minutes since the start of the chronographmeasurement.

Central chronograph seconds hand (H)It is positioned at the centre of the watch. It measures the seconds elapsedsince the start of the chronograph measurement.

THE STRAP

Panerai straps must be washed in warm water and left to dry. It is importantnot to dry them on a hot surface or to expose them to direct sunlight, becausethe rapid evaporation of the water could damage their shape and quality. Aftereach bathe in the sea or a swimming pool, carefully rinse the strap with cleanwater.It is recommended that the strap and the buckle should be replaced by anAuthorized Distributor or a Panerai Service Centre, in order to avoid anyproblems caused by incorrect replacement.Only an Authorized Distributor or Panerai Service Centre can guarantee theuse of genuine Panerai straps, properly designed to fit the dimensions of thecase and manufactured according to the quality standards of the brand.

All alligator leather used by Officine Panerai comes from farms in Louisiana,USA. HISTOIRE

Depuis 1860, Guido Panerai & Figlio, à Florence, fabrique des instruments deprécision constitués d’éléments de haute technologie, ce qui lui a permis dedevenir fournisseur de la Marine Italienne. Ces instruments ont irrémédiablementassocié au nom de Panerai l’exploration sous-marine, la mesure du temps et ledéveloppement de critères de qualité et de sécurité spécifiques, conditionessentielle pour fournir les forces armées.

La fabrication de montres par Officine Panerai a commencé en mars 1938 parla Radiomir, un modèle qui a participé aux exploits des commandos de laMarine Italienne dont les hommes la portaient à leur poignet.

LE CADRAN

Le cadran du chronographe à dominante brune s’articule sur deux étages : au-dessus, de petits chiffres arabes, des index bâton, des indices ronds et uneminuterie, qui sont tous recouverts de matière luminescente ; au milieu, plusd’un millimètre plus bas, la mention de la marque et du modèle et les deuxcompteurs auxiliaires : celui des petites secondes, à gauche, celui des minutesà droite, gradué jusqu’à 30, comme il était d’usage à l’époque. La distancenotable entre les deux étages du cadran lui confère une profondeur unique.Pour assurer un niveau optimal de luminescence et la meilleure résistancedans le temps, Panerai utilise exclusivement Swiss Super-LumiNova® «DegréA». Pour produire cette substance on utilise des pigments spéciaux hautementperformants qui augmentent la durée de la lisibilité de 35% par rapport auSuper-LumiNova® standard.

LE BRACELET EN CUIR

Le bracelet en cuir est hypoallergénique. Il se ferme avec une boucletrapézoïdale en titane satiné personnalisée Panerai.

LA MONTRE PANERAI MARE NOSTRUMTITANIO

Le Mare Nostrum est le nom du chronographe proposé à la Marine militaireitalienne par Officine Panerai en 1943, pour l’équipement de ses officiers depont. Le projet ne put avoir de suites, interrompu par les développements dela guerre, et il n’en resta que de très rares prototypes – trois en tout, peut-ondire de façon quasi-certaine – dont on perdit d’abord la trace, avant que ladocumentation s’y rapportant ne soit à son tour détruite dans les inondationsqui submergèrent Florence, en 1966.La redécouverte, par Officine Panerai, de l’un des prototypes qui est depuisallé rejoindre les collections du Musée Officine Panerai à Florence, a permis dedonner vie au nouveau Mare Nostrum, pièce de collection d’un intérêtextraordinaire.

LE BOÎTIER

Le boîtier de la Mare Nostrum Titanio a un diamètre de 52 mm, commel’original, et est constitué de titane satiné. Surmonté de très fortes anses, il aune forme tonneau, mais donne une impression de rondeur qu’il tire de sa largelunette plate. Comme sur le prototype, une fine encoche circulaire se détachesur la tranche moletée de la lunette, trace peut-être d’un façonnage interrompuavant son terme, ou point de repère laissé pour l’incision d’une échelle.Le fond, vissé, est réalisé en titane et porte quatre crans de dévissage. Lacouronne de remontoir et de mise à l’heure est moletée sur la tranche et portegravée l’inscription Mare Nostrum; elle est cylindrique et vissée, tandis que lespoussoirs, eux aussi cylindriques, sont à pompe. Le verre est en saphir, obtenudu corindon, une substance très dure (seul le diamant est plus dur), totalementpure, transparente, qui résiste aux frottements et a subi un traitement antireflet.L’étanchéité de votre montre, indiquée sur le fond par le symbole , estgarantie jusqu’à une pression de 3 bars qui correspondent à la pression

FONCTIONS DE CHRONOGRAPHE

Les fonctions de chronographe de sa montre sont l’enregistrement de lavitesse moyenne et du temps utilisé en minutes et secondes par un objet pourse déplacer d’un point à un autre.

Poussoir marche/arrêt/mise à zéro des fonctions chronographes (D)En appuyant sur le poussoir, les aiguilles relatives à la mesure duchronographe s’actionnent, soit les secondes chrono (H) et après 60secondes le compteur minutes (F). Une seconde pression sur le mêmepoussoir (D) provoque leur arrêt, indiquant le temps écoulé.

Poussoir de mise a zéro (E)Sa pression provoque instantanément la mise à zéro de toutes les aiguilles desindications du chronographe : l’aiguille centrale des secondes (H) et lecompteur minutes (F). Il ne peut pas être actionné pendant la marche duchronographe mais seulement après son arrêt, c’est-à-dire après avoir appuyéune seconde fois sur le poussoir (D).

Computer des minutes (F)À 3 heures le compteur des minutes de chronographe indique le temps écouléen minutes depuis le déclenchement du chronographe.

Aiguille centrale des secondes de chronographe (H)Cette aiguille est au centre de la montre. Elle mesure les secondes écouléesdepuis le déclenchement du chronographe.

Après cette opération, comme aprèstoute baignade en mer ou en piscine, rincez-la soigneusement à l’eau propre.Il est conseillé de ne pas utiliser de substance ou d’outil abrasifs pour nettoyerle verre en Plexiglas®. Toutes les montres Panerai peuvent être nettoyées àl’aide d’un chiffon sec et doux.

LE BRACELET

Les bracelets Panerai doivent être nettoyés à l’eau tiède et mis à sécher à l’airlibre. Ne les exposez pas à une source de chaleur ou directement au soleil, carl’évaporation rapide de l’eau risquerait de les déformer et de dégrader leurqualité. Après toute baignade en mer ou en piscine, rincez soigneusement lebracelet à l’eau claire. Pour remplacer le bracelet et la boucle, adressez-vous à un Distributeur Agréeou à un Centre de Service Panerai. Vous éviterez ainsi tout inconvénient lié àun remplacement incorrect. Seul un Distributeur Agréé ou un Centre de Service Panerai peut garantirl’utilisation de bracelets Panerai authentiques, spécialement adaptés auxdimensions du boîtier et fabriqués selon les standards de qualité de la marque.

Toutes les peaux d’alligator utilisées par Officine Panerai proviennent defermes situées en Louisiane, États-Unis. Les fournisseurs de Officine Panerais’engagent à offrir les plus hauts standards de responsabilité et ilsgarantissent que ces fermes contribuent à la croissance constante desalligators à l’état sauvage, en protégeant donc cette espèce en voied'extinction. Panerai n’utilise pas de peaux provenant d’espèces menacées ouen voie d'extinction qui vivent à l’état sauvage.

ATTENTION:N’utilisez pas la montre à une profondeur supérieure à celle indiquée.

CONSEIL D’ENTRETIENLes montres Panerai sont réalisées dans le respect de normes de qualité trèsélevées. Il faut se rappeler que les pièces mécaniques fonctionnent 24 heuressur 24 lorsque la montre est utilisée. Elle doit donc être entretenuerégulièrement pour en tirer la plus grande durabilité et le meilleurfonctionnement.

ÉTANCHÉITÉFaites vérifier régulièrement l’étanchéité de votre montre par un Centred’Entretien Agréé par Panerai, et faites-la contrôler tous les deux ans, dans lecadre d’un entretien régulier ou lorsqu’elle doit être ouverte. La vérification de l’étanchéité implique nécessairement le remplacement desjoints, afin de garantir une étanchéité et une sécurité maximales. Si la montre est portée lors d’activités sportives dans l’eau, il est recommandéde la faire vérifier chaque année avant le début de ces activités.

LE MOUVEMENT

Faites vérifier régulièrement le mouvement de votre montre par un Centred’Entretien Agréé Panerai, afin qu’elle continue à fonctionner parfaitement. Sila montre a tendance à avancer ou à retarder de manière significative, lemouvement peut avoir besoin d’une révision. Les mouvements sont conçus pour résister à des variations de températureentre –10 °C et +60 °C (14°F e 140°F). En dehors de ces températures, on peutobserver un fonctionnement en dehors des spécifications. De plus, il y a unrisque d’altération des lubrifiants, ce qui peut entraîner une détérioration decertaines pièces du mouvement.

NETTOYAGE DE L’EXTÉRIEURPour conserver l’extérieur en parfait état, nous recommandons de laver votremontre Panerai avec de l’eau tiède, à l’aide d’une brosse douce avec du

Seit diesen frühen Tagen assoziiert man mit demNamen Panerai die Welt der Marine, die Messung von Zeit und Raum und dieEinhaltung höchster Qualitäts- und Zuverlässigkeitsmaßstäbe.

Im März 1938 begann Panerai mit der Herstellung der ersten Uhren. DieRadiomir machte Geschichte durch die Heldentaten der Kommandos deritalienischen Marine, die sie an ihrem Handgelenk trugen.

hydrostatischen Druck, den unter normalen Bedingungen eine 30 Meter hoheWassersäule auf eine Fläche von einem Quadratzentimeter ausübt. Ihre Uhr istalso unter diesen Umständen wasserdicht bis zu einer Tiefe von circa 30 Metern.

DAS ZIFFERBLATT

Das Zifferblatt hat eine braune Basis und zwei Ebenen. Der äußere, obere Ringhat kleine arabische Ziffern, stabförmige Stundenmarkierungen und rundeMinutenmarkierungen, die sämtlich mit fluoreszierendem Material beschichtetsind. Die mittlere Ebene liegt gut einen Millimeter tiefer und zeigt den Marken-und Modellnamen sowie die beiden Hilfszifferblätter: links die kleineSekundenanzeige, rechts der Minutenzähler, der wie damals üblich auf 30 gestellt ist. Der deutliche Versatz zwischen den Ebenen verleiht demZifferblatt eine einzigartige Tiefe.Um optimale Leuchtkraft und erhöhte Beständigkeit zu gewährleisten, verwendetPanerai ausschließlich Swiss Super-LumiNova® der „Qualitätsstufe A“. Bei derHerstellung dieser Leuchtsubstanz kommen spezielle leistungsstarke Pigmentezum Einsatz. Dadurch verlängert sich die Ablesbarkeitsdauer gegenüberherkömmlichem Super-LumiNova® um rund 35%.

DAS LEDERARMBAND

Das Lederarmband ist hypoallergen. Die Schließe (Trapezform) aus satiniertemTitanium trägt den Schriftzug Panerai.

DIE PANERAI MARE NOSTRUM TITANIO UHR

Die ursprüngliche Mare Nostrum fertigte Officine Panerai 1943 alsChronographen für Deckoffiziere der italienischen Marine. Allerdingsverhinderte der Gang der Geschichte die Weiterentwicklung des Modells und eswurden nur einige wenige – wahrscheinlich genau drei – Prototypen fertig-gestellt. Lange Zeit waren sie spurlos verschwunden und die noch vorhandenenUnterlagen gingen 1966 bei der Hochwasserkatastrophe in Florenz verloren. Möglich wurde die Neuauflage der Mare Nostrum erst durch dieWiederentdeckung eines der verschollenen Prototypen, der inzwischen imOfficine Panerai Museum in Florenz ausgestellt ist. Aus Sammlersicht ist dieszweifelsohne ein bedeutsames Modell.

DAS GEHÄUSE

Das Mare Nostrum Titanio Gehäuse in satiniertem Titanium hat wie dasOriginal eine Größe von 52 mm Durchmesser. Mit seinen großenBandanstößen wirkt es trotz der Tonneau-Form rund. Grund hierfür ist diebreite, flache Lünette mit gerändeltem Rand, auf dem wie bei dem Prototypeine feine kreisförmige Markierung auffällt.Diese ist möglicherweise durch einen nicht vollendeten Arbeitsgangentstanden oder sollte als Bezugspunkt für eine spätere Skalengravur dienen.Der verschraubte Gehäuseboden aus Titanium hat vier Kerben, die dasAufschrauben erleichtern.Die zylindrische Aufzugs- und Stellkrone mit der Gravur „Mare Nostrum“ aufder Rändelung ist verschraubt, und die Drücker sind zylindrisch.Das Saphirglas wird aus Korund gewonnen, dem nach Diamanten härtestenMaterial überhaupt. Es ist vollkommen rein und durchsichtig, dabei kratzfestund entspiegelt.Die Wasserdichtigkeit Ihrer Uhr, die auf den Gehäuseboden mit dem Symbol angezeigt wird, wird bis zu einem Druck von 3 bar garantiert. Dies entspricht dem

CHRONOGRAPHENFUNKTIONDie Chronographenfunktion Ihrer Uhr erlaubt die Messung derDurchschnittsgeschwindigkeit und der während der Bewegung eines Objektsvon einem Ort zu einem anderen vergangenen Zeit in Minuten und Sekunden.

Start und Stopp für die Chronographenfunktionen (D)Auf Druck startet der Chronographensekundenzeiger (H) und nach 60Sekunden dreht sich auch der Zeiger des Minutenzählers (F); bei wiederholtemDrücken (D) werden alle Zeiger gestoppt, und die gemessene Zeit wirdangezeigt.

Null-rückstellungs-drücker (E)Die Betätigung dieses Drückers bewirkt die sofortige Rückstellung allerChronographenzeiger auf Null: des Minutenzählers (F) und des zentralesSekundenzeiger (H). Dieser Drücker darf nur dann betätigt werden, wenn derChronograph ausgeschaltet ist, also nachdem ein zweites Mal auf D gedrücktwurde.

Minutenzähler (F)Das kleine Zifferblatt des Mibutenzählers auf der 3-Uhr-Position zeigt dieMinuten ab Beginn der Chronographen-Zeitmessung an.

Lassen Sie die Wasserdichtigkeit Ihrer Uhr regelmäßig von einem autorisiertenPanerai-Händler prüfen, spätestens alle zwei Jahre bei der regelmäßigenWartung und immer, wenn die Uhr geöffnet werden muss.Die Wiederherstellung der Wasserdichtigkeit erfordert die regelmäßigeErneuerung der Dichtungsringe, um maximale Sicherheit und Wasserdichtigkeitzu gewährleisten.Wenn die Uhr beim Wassersport getragen wird, sollte diejenige jedes Jahrüberprüft werden bevor mit dem Wassersport begonnen wird.

UHRWERK

Damit Ihre Uhr stets in einwandfreiem Betriebszustand ist, sollte das Uhrwerkregelmäßig von einem autorisierten Reparaturbetrieb der Marke Paneraiüberprüft werden. Sollte die Uhr zum deutlichen Vor- oder Nachgehen neigen,könnte eine Wartung des Uhrwerks erforderlich sein.Die Uhrwerke sind derart konstruiert, dass sie Temperaturabweichungenzwischen -10°C und +60°C (14°F und 140°F) standhalten können. Ist die UhrTemperaturen außerhalb dieses Bereichs ausgesetzt, kann die Funktionsfähigkeitdes Uhrwerks - zusätzlich zu den in den technischen Spezifikationenangegebenen Abweichungen – beeinträchtigt werden. Desde 1860, Guido Panerai & Figlio viene fabricando instrumentos deprecisión con un alto contenido técnico y convirtiéndose así en proveedor dela Marina Italiana. A través de estos instrumentos el nombre de Panerai se havinculado con la marina, la medición del tiempo y el desarrollo de un nivelparticular de calidad y seguridad, requisito imprescindible de los proveedoresde las fuerzas armadas.

Officine Panerai comenzó a producir relojes en 1938, empezando con elRadiomir, modelo que formó parte de las hazañas de los comandos de laMarina Italiana, ya que los llevaban en sus muñecas.

El Luminor Panerai es reconocido como un reloj de importancia históricagracias a su robustez y a la originalidad de su diseño. Las pocas piezas quese produjeron de los primeros modelos, junto con el primer reloj Radiomir, sonalgunas de las piezas más buscadas por los coleccionistas.

hidrostática ejercida por una columna de agua en 1 cm2 a una profundidad de30 metros bajo condiciones normales. En estas circunstancias su reloj eshermético hasta una profundidad de aproximadamente 30 metros.

LA ESFERA

La esfera presenta una base marrón con dos niveles. El anillo más exterior ysuperior muestra pequeños números arábigos, índices horarios alargados eíndices minuteros redondos, todo ello en material luminiscente. Por otra parte,en el nivel central, situado un milímetro por debajo, aparece el nombre de lamarca y el modelo, así como dos esferas segundarias. A la izquierda se puedeobservar el segundero pequeño y, a la derecha, el contador de minutos, quellega hasta 30, como era el uso en aquel entonces. La considerable diferenciaentre ambas capas de la esfera le confieren una profundidad única.Para asegurar buenos niveles de luminiscencia y mayor resistencia con elpasar del tiempo, Panerai usa exclusivamente Swiss Super-LumiNova® detipo A. Para producir esta substancia luminosa son usados pigmentos de altorendimiento. Esto permite un aumento de la duración y de la legibilidad deaproximadamente 35 %, comparadas a las de Super-LumiNova® estándar.

LA CORREA

La correa de piel es hipoalergénica. Se cierra mediante una hebilla en formade trapecio de titanio satinado personalizada Panerai.

EL RELOJ PANERAI MARE NOSTRUMTITANIO

El Mare Nostrum es el cronógrafo que Officine Panerai suministró a la ArmadaItaliana en 1943 y que formaba parte del equipo habitual entregado al personalde cubierta. Diversos acontecimientos históricos pusieron un punto final alposible desarrollo de este modelo, del que sólo se produjeron unos pocosprototipos – casi con total certeza tres – y del que se perdió la pista y toda ladocumentación relacionada tras las inundaciones que azotaron Florencia en1966. El descubrimiento de Officine Panerai de uno de los prototipos, queahora forma parte de la colección del museo Officine Panerai en Florencia,permitió la creación de un nuevo Mare Nostrum, un extraordinario modelo decoleccionismo.

LA CAJA

La caja del Mare Nostrum Titanio tiene un diámetro de 52 mm, al igual que elmodelo original, y está fabricada con titanio satinado. Con sus fuertes asas,se le ha conferido forma de tonel, si bien presenta una apariencia redondadebido a su ancho bisel plano y dentado en el que, a semejanza del prototipo,destaca una fina marca circular, que puede deberse a un proceso inacabadoo a una marca de referencia para grabar posteriormente la escala.El fondo de la caja atornillado está fabricado con titanio y presenta cuatroranuras para desatornillarla con facilidad. La corona cilíndrica, con lainscripción Mare Nostrum grabada en su borde dentado, viene atornillada ycuenta con pulsadores cilíndricos. El cristal es de zafiro, obtenido a partir de corindón, un material muy resistente(segundo en dureza después del diamante), libre de impurezas, transparente,resistente a la abrasión y con una capa antirreflectante.La hermeticidad de su reloj, indicada en el fondo por el símbolo , estágarantizada a una presión de 3 bares, que corresponden a la presión

FUNCIONES DEL CRONOGRAFO

Las funciones de cronógrafo de su reloj permiten medir la velocidad media yel tiempo en minutos y segundos, de un objeto en movimiento desde un puntoa otro.

Pulsadores de comienzo y parada de las funciones de cronógrafo (D)Presionando este pulsador se activan todos los contadores conectados a lasmediciones de cronógrafo, el contador de minutos (F) y la manecilla central desegundos (H). Para finalizar la medición y parar las manecillas, se presionasobre el mismo pulsador (D) por segunda vez.

Pulsador de puesta a cero (E)Presionando sobre este pulsador todas las manecillas de cronógrafo vuelvena cero: el contador de minutos (F) y la manecilla central de segundos (H). Nose debe presionar sobre este pulsador cuando el cronógrafo está en marcha,sino cuando el cronógrafo se ha parado presionando el pulsador (D) unasegunda vez.

Contador de minutos (F)Situado a las 3 horas, esta esfera subsidiaria es el contador de minutos delcronógrafo, que indica el tiempo transcurrido en minutos desde el comienzode la medición del cronógrafo.

Manecilla central del segundero del cronógrafo (H)Esta manecilla está en el centro del reloj. Mide los segundos transcurridosdesde el comienzo de la medición.

DAR CUERDA

1. Desenroscar la corona (A) y, sin tirar de ella (posición 0), darle cuerda en elsentido de las agujas del reloj. Cuándo la corona se bloquea, el reloj seencuentra completamente cargado.

2. Vuelva a enroscar la corona (A) nuevamente.

PARA AJUSTAR LA HORA

1. Desenroscar la corona (A) y tirar de ella hasta el primer clic (posición 1).2. Poner la hora deseada.3. Meter la corona (A) en su posición original (0) y volverla a enroscar.

SEGUNDOS CONTINUOS (G)Estos vienen indicados en el pequeño segundero situado a las 9 horas. Lamanecilla se mueve de manera ininterrumpida incluso cuando se paran lasfunciones de cronógrafo.

CONSEJOS DE MANTENIMIENTOLos relojes Panerai se fabrican con el máximo nivel de calidad. Es necesariorecordar que las partes mecánicas trabajan durante 24 horas al día cuando elreloj está en marcha, de modo que el reloj requiere un mantenimiento regularque garantice una larga vida y un buen funcionamiento.

HERMETICIDADCompruebe periódicamente la hermeticidad de su reloj en un Centro deServicio Post-Venta Autorizado de Panerai y haga que la revisen cada dosaños o, en todo caso, cada vez que su reloj se abra. El acondicionamiento de la hermeticidad conlleva la sustitución de las juntaspara garantizar al máximo su hermeticidad y fiabilidad. Cuando el reloj se utilice en actividades acuáticas, se recomienda una revisiónanual antes del comienzo de estas actividades.

EL MOVIMIENTO

Revise el movimiento de su reloj periódicamente en un Centro de ServicioPost-Venta Autorizado de Panerai para mantenerlo en unas condiciones defuncionamiento óptimas. Si el reloj se adelanta o se retrasa significativamente,puede que sea necesario regular el movimiento. Los movimientos están diseñados para soportar variaciones térmicas desde –10ºC hasta +60ºC (14°F y 140°F). Si se excede este rango de temperaturas,es posible que se aprecien variaciones en el funcionamiento del relojsuperiores a las establecidas. Además, existe un alto riesgo de deterioro enlos lubricantes que contiene el movimiento, con el consiguiente daño dealgunas de sus partes.

LIMPIEZA EXTERNA

Para mantener el exterior en perfectas condiciones, se recomienda lavar elreloj con agua templada, utilizando jabón y un cepillo suave, excepto por el

Plexiglas®. Después de este proceso, y también después de bañarse en el maro en una piscina, es necesario aclarar cuidadosamente el reloj en agua dulce.Se recomienda no utilizar materiales o instrumentos abrasivos para limpiar elcristal Plexiglas®. Todos los relojes Panerai se pueden limpar con un traposuave y seco.

LA CORREA

Las correas de Panerai deben lavarse con agua tibia y dejarse secar acontinuación. Es importante no dejarlas secar sobre una superficie caliente niexponerlas directamente a los rayos solares ya que la rápida evaporación delagua podría dañar su forma y calidad. Después de cada inmersión en el maro en la piscina, se recomienda aclarar la correa con agua dulce. Para sustituir la correa y la hebilla, se recomienda acuda a un DistribuidorAutorizado o a un Centro de Servicio Post-Venta Autorizado de Panerai. Deesta forma evitará los inconvenientes que puedan ser ocasionados por unasustitución inadecuada.Sólo Distribuidores Autorizados o Centros de Servicio Post-Venta Autorizadode Panerai garantizan el uso de correas auténticas de Panerai, especialmentediseñadas para ajustarse a las dimensiones de la caja y fabricadas siguiendolas normas de calidad de la marca.

ЧАСЫ PANERAI MARE NOSTRUM TITANIO

КОРПУС

Как и оригинальная модель, корпус часов Mare Nostrum Titanio диаметром52 мм выполнен из матового титана. ЦИФЕРБЛАТ

Двухуровневый циферблат с фоном коричневого цвета. На внешнее (верхнее)кольцо нанесены арабские цифры и часовые метки, покрытые люминесцентнымматериалом. На центральном (первом) уровне, находящемся на миллиметр нижеуровня кольца, представлены название марки и модели, а также присутствуютдва вспомогательных циферблата: малый секундный циферблат слева и счетчикминут с 30-минутной разметкой справа. Относительно большое расстояниемежду двумя уровнями циферблата создает ощущение объема.Для того чтобы обеспечить оптимальный уровень свечения и высокуюустойчивость покрытия, Panerai использует исключительно материал SwissSuper-LumiNova® степени А. ФУНКЦИИ ХРОНОГРАФА

Функции хронографа в Ваших часах позволяют измерять среднюю скоростьподвижного объекта и время (в минутах и секундах), затраченное наперемещение из одного пункта в другой.

Кнопка пуска/остановки хронографа (D)При однократном нажатии начинается отсчет времени с помощью секунднойстрелки хронографа (H), а через 60 секунд – с помощью стрелки минутногосчетчика (F). При повторном нажатии той же кнопки (D) все стрелкиостанавливаются и показывают истекшее время.

Кнопка обнуления хронографа (E)При нажатии на эту кнопку все стрелки хронографа – центральная секунднаястрелка (H) и стрелка минутного счетчика (F) – мгновенно возвращаются на ноль.Эту кнопку следует нажимать только после того, как хронограф был остановленнажатием на кнопку (D).

Счетчик минут (F)Дополнительный счетчик в положении «3 часа» показывает, сколько минутистекло с момента пуска хронографа.

Центральная секундная стрелка хронографа (H)Расположенная в центре циферблата, показывает время в секундах, истекшее смомента пуска хронографа.

1. Отвинтите заводную головку (A), и в этом же исходном положении, то есть невытягивая ее (положение 0), поворачивайте головку по часовой стрелке.Часы полностью заведены, когда заводная головка доходит до упора.

2. Затем снова завинтите заводную головку (A).

УСТАНОВКА ВРЕМЕНИ

1. Отвинтите заводную головку (A) и вытяните ее до первого щелчка(положение 1).

2. Установите точное время.3. Верните заводную головку (A) в исходное положение (0) и завинтите.

НЕПРЕРЫВНЫЙ ОТСЧЕТ СЕКУНД (G)Отсчет секунд отображается на малом секундном циферблате в положении «9часов». Его стрелка находится в непрерывном движении даже при остановкехронографа.

РЕКОМЕНДАЦИИ ПО ТЕХНИЧЕСКОМУ ОБСЛУЖИВАНИЮЧасы Panerai производятся в соответствии с высочайшими стандартамикачества. Помните, что детали часового механизма находятся в движении 24часа в сутки, и для обеспечения длительной и безупречной работы часовнеобходимо их регулярное техническое обслуживание.

BОДОНЕПРОНИЦАЕМОСТЬЋ

Водонепроницаемость часов следует регулярно проверять в авторизованномсервисном центре Panerai и восстанавливать каждые два года в ходе текущегообслуживания, а также если корпус часов открывался. При восстановленииводонепроницаемости для максимальной защиты часов требуется заменауплотняющих прокладок.Если часы используются под водой, рекомендуем проверять их ежегодно, доначала водного сезона.

ЧАСОВОЙ МЕХАНИЗМ

Для безотказной работы часов их механизм следует регулярно проверять вавторизованном сервисном центре Panerai.Если часы сильно отстают или спешат, может потребоваться тщательнаяпроверка часового механизма. Механизм часов выдерживает перепадытемпературы от -10°C до +60°C. Если температура выходит за эти пределы,отклонения хода часов могут превышать указанные в спецификации значения.Кроме того, в этих условиях смазочные материалы могут потерять свои свойства,что приведет к повреждению деталей часового механизма.

ЧИСТКА КОРПУСА ЧАСОВ

Для поддержания безупречного внешнего вида часов мы рекомендуем чистить ихмягкой щеткой с мылом в теплой воде, за исключением стекла Plexiglas®.После чистки, а также после купания в море или бассейне часы следуетаккуратно ополоснуть в чистой воде. Не рекомендуется чистить стекло Plexiglas®
