adiposo, massa proteica, minerali, fluidi

OPINIONARE: valutazione molto soggettiva
deviazione standard dello stimatore.

Composizione corporea: quali metodi?
Caratteristiche ideali/vantaggi:
• assenza di invasività
• semplicità di esecuzione
• portabilità
• basso costo
• disponibilità di valori di riferimento
• rilevanza funzionale e ripetibilità 21
Svantaggi:
• Errore inter/intra operatore =TEM3-8%
• Errore di stima equazione > 5%
• necessità di calibrazioni costanti
• Training adeguato
• Operatività costante
•Modello 1C o 2C
Misure antropometriche: I° livello
WH/BMI
22

Piccoli, Antonio, et al. "A new method for monitoring body fluid variation by
bioimpedance analysis: the RXc graph." Kidney international 46.2 (1994): 534-539.
The use of quantitative BIA is limited in adolescents with AN. Our results confirm the lower limit of BMI 16 kg/m2 for BIA validity suggested for adults [2]. Graphic representation of BIVA may be advantageous in monitoring nutritional progress in adolescent AN patients.
BIA in DCA
Saladino, Journal of Eating Disorders 2014, 2:34
The literature indicates that the use of Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) in eating
disorder patients to be efficacious in determining body composition during the
treatment period,
Also, utilizing BIA has the advantage of using each patient as his/her own “control”,
potentially allowing for a more individualized nutrition regimen according to the body
composition changes observed during treatment

BIA in DCA
A negative conclusion about standard BIA was reported by Haas et al. [30] recently who studied 57 AN women with BIA and Bioimpedance vector analysis (BIVA). The authors suggested that because 47% of the patients showed “implausible” results, BIA had “little utility” in these patients, whereas BIVA could be an alternative modality reflecting ECW volume changes and later real tissue mass increases.
Mattar et al. compared BIA and Dual x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) to measure FFM and FM in 50 female, underweight patients with anorexia nervosa. It was concluded
that the best estimates of FFM and FM in the anorexic study group was when the
Deurenberg equation was used with BIA, because it took into account height, weight, and
age, and it was applicable in adults and adolescents ages 13.4 up to 36.9 and for BMI
values of 12.8 - 21.
