Installazione

1. Inserimento della scheda SIMLocalizzare la sede per la scheda SIMsulla parte posteriore del telefono. Perinserire la scheda SIM:

1. Rimuovere la batteria, se presente.

2. Inserire la scheda SIM nella sua

sede, sotto i due dentini metallizzati,con i contatti dorati verso il basso el angolo tagliato in alto versosinistra.

2. Rimozione della scheda SIMPer rimuovere la scheda SIM, seguire

la procedura riportata di seguito.1. Rimuovere la batteria, se installata.

2. Estrarre la scheda SIMdallalloggiamento.

Avvertenza

La rimozione della batteria dal telefono durantelaccensione potrebbe provocarne il malfunzionamento.

I contatti metallici della scheda SIM si danneggianofacilmente se vengono graffiati. pertanto consigliabileinserire la scheda SIM con molta cautela e delicatezza.Seguire le istruzioni fornite con la scheda SIM.

3. Installazione della batteria1. Inserire i supporti di appoggio sotto

la batteria nel relativo contenitore.

2. Quindi esercitare una pressione alcentro della batteria per portarla inposizione.

4. Ricarica della batteriaPrima di collegare ladattatore daviaggio al telefono verificare che labatteria sia installata correttamente.

1. Inserire unestremit del cavodelladattatore sotto al telefono.

2. Collegare laltra estremitdelladattatore ad una presa dicorrente. Usare solo il caricatoreincluso nella confezione.

Attenzione

Non forzare il connettore in quanto il telefono e / oladattatore potrebbero danneggiarsi.

5. Disconnessione delladattatorePer scollegare ladattatore dal telefonopremere sui pulsanti laterali delconnettore.

Attenzione

Prima di essere utilizzata, la batteria fornita con iltelefono deve essere caricata completamente.

Non rimuovere la batteria o la scheda SIM durante lacarica.

Quando la batteria completamente carica, le barre di

avanzamento dello stato di carica dellicona dellabatteria si fermano. Durante il caricamento, la retroilluminazione del

display LCD emetter una luce rossa. A caricamento completato, emetter una luce verde.

Si tenga presente che, in questo caso, potrebbeessere necessario un periodo di caricamento inizialepi lungo prima che venga visualizzato il messaggioIn carica sul display del telefono.

Il tempo di caricamento dipende dal caricabatterie edalla batteria utilizzati.

Nota

In caso di carica anomala della batteria...

Riprovare a caricare la batteria dopo aver acceso espento il telefono. Rimuovere e ricollegare la batteria e riprovare con la

procedura di ricarica.

Effettuare una chiamata1. Digitare il numero di telefono incluso il prefisso. Per cancellareun numero, premere il tastoC.

Effettuare e rispondere a una chiamata1. Tenere premuto il tasto> [Nomi] per il prefisso internazionale.

Il carattere +pu essere sostituito con il codice di accessointernazionale 00.

2. Immettere il prefisso della nazione, il prefisso urbano e il numerodi telefono.

3. PremereS per chiamare il numero.

Effettuare una chiamata usando la rubrica1. Nella modalit standby, premere> [Nomi].

2. Inserire i dati per la ricerca e confermarli premendo< [OK].

1-1 Mettere una chiamata in attesa

Premere il tastoS [Invia] per mettere una chiamata in attesa oriprenderla. Durante la ricezione o l invio di una chiamata, premereil tastoS [Invia] per metterla in attesa. Quando una chiamata inattesa, premere il tastoS [Invia] per riprenderla.

1-2 Fare una seconda chiamataPer fare una seconda chiamata, richiamare il numero dalla Rubrica.

Premere il tasto> [Nomi] e selezionare Ricerca. Per salvare ilnumero composto nella Rubrica durante la chiamata, premere iltasto> [Nomi] e selezionare Aggiungi nuovo.

Il comando viene associato solo al numero principaleimpostato.Ad esempio, se si modifica il numeroprincipale, il comando viene associatoautomaticamente al numero modificato. Questo

significa che non possibile associare il comandocontemporaneamente al numero di cellulare, di casa edi ufficio.

Il comando vocale pu essere aggiunto ai numeri ditelefono nella scheda SIM. Il comando vocale puessere cancellato rimuovendo o cambiando la schedaSIM. Inoltre, quando si cambia la scheda SIM, ilcomando vocale associato al numero di telefono nellascheda SIM pu essere associato a un altro numeroperch memorizzato nel telefono e la scheda SIMnon contiene informazioni relative al comando vocale.

Gruppo [Menu 5-2-3]Per un solo gruppo possibile elencare fino a 20 membri. Esistono7 gruppi diversi ai quali possibile associare dei nomi della rubrica.

1. In modalit standby, premere> [Nomi].

2. Scorrere la voce Gruppo e premere< [OK], per visualizzarelelenco di ogni gruppo.

3. Viene visualizzato l elenco di ogni gruppo< [OK].

Elenco nomiConsente di visualizzare i membri del gruppo selezionato.

3. Per aggiungere una selezione rapida, selezionare un tasto

Riproduci : Permette di riascoltare il comando vocale associatoal numero.

Modifica : Permette di modificare il comando vocale associatoal numero.

Cancella : Cancella il comando vocale associato al numero.

Cancella tutto [Menu 5-2-8] possibile cancellare tutte le voci presenti nella scheda SIM, nellamemoria del telefono e nellelenco delle chiamate vocali. Questafunzione richiede il codice di sicurezza, ad eccezione delle chiamatevocali.

1. Premere> [Names] in modalit standby, selezionare Cancellatutto e premere< [OK].

2. Selezionare la memoria da cancellare:3. Premere< [OK] o> [Esci] per annullare l operazione.

Utilizzare questa funzione per accedere a un particolare elenco diservizi forniti dall operatore della rete (se supportati dalla scheda

2. Andare su Informazioni e su Numeri di servizo, quindi premere< [OK] per entrare.

3. Vengono visualizzati i nomi dei servizi disponibili.

Memory statusQuesta funzione consente di vedere quanta memoria libera eusata vi nella rubrica del telefono e della scheda SIM.

1. Per prima cosa aprire la Rubrica premendo> [Nomi] inmodalit standby.

Cura della Batteria

Non necessario scaricare completamente la batteria primadi ricaricarla. A differenza di altri sistemi, questa batteria nonha alcun effetto memoria che potrebbe comprometterne ilrendimento.

Utilizzare solo batterie e caricatori LG. I caricatori LG sonoprogettati per allungare al massimo la vita della batteria.

Non smontare o mandare in corto circuito il contenitore dellebatterie.

Tenere puliti i contatti in metallo del contenitore delle batterie.

Sostituire le batterie quando non offrono pi un rendimentoaccettabile. Le batterie possono essere ricaricate centinaia divolte prima di richiedere la sostituzione.

Per aumentare il rendimento, ricaricare la batteria se non

stata utilizzata per lungo tempo. Non esporre il caricabatterie alla luce del sole diretta o

utilizzarla in condizioni di estrema umidit, come in una stanzada bagno.

2. Take out the SIM card from the slot.

Notice

Removing the battery from the phone whilst it is

switched on may cause it to malfunction. The metal contact of the SIM card can be easily

damaged by scratches. Pay special attention to the SIMcard when you handle and install. Follow theinstructions supplied with the SIM card.

the battery into the retaining holder.

2. Then push to the half of the batteryinto position.

4. Charging the BatteryTo connect the travel adapter to the phone, you must have installedthe battery.

1. With the arrow facing you as shownin the diagram push the plug on thebattery adapter into the socket on

the bottom of the phone until itclicks into place.

2. Connect the other end of the traveladapter to the mains socket.Use only the included packingcharger.

5. Disconnecting the chargerDisconnect the travel adapter from the

phone by pressing its side buttons asshown in the diagram.

Warning

Do not force the connector as this may damage thephone and/or the travel adapter.

Note Ensure the battery is fully charged before using the

phone.

Do not remove your battery or the SIM card whilecharging.

The moving bars of battery icon will stop aftercharging is complete.

At the begining of charging or at the moment ofdisconnecting the charger from the phone the SubLCD backlight will flash red/green.

When charging is complete, it will flash green. Pleasenote in this case that it may require a longer initialcharging time before displaying Charging on thescreen of the phone.

The charging time depends on the charger and thebattery used.

You can use the access codes described in this section to avoidunauthorized use of your phone. The access codes (except PUKand PUK2 codes) can be changed by using [Menu 4-5-5].

PIN code (4 to 8 digits)The PIN (Personal Identification Number) code protects your SIMcard against unauthorized use. The PIN code is usually suppliedwith the SIM card. When PIN code is set On, your phone will

request the PIN code every time it is switched on. On the contrary,when PIN code is set Off, your phone connects to the networkdirectly without the request PIN code.

PIN2 code (4 to 8 digits)The PIN2 code, supplied with some SIM cards, is required toaccess some functions such as Advice of call charge, Fixed Dial

number. These functions are only available if supported by your SIMcard.

PUK code (4 to 8 digits)The PUK (PIN Unblocking Key) code is required to change ablocked PIN code. The PUK code may be supplied with the SIMcard. If not, contact your local service provider for the code. If youlose the code, also contact your service provider.

PUK2 code (4 to 8 digits)The PUK2 code, supplied with some SIM cards, is required tochange a blocked PIN2 code. If you lose the code, also contact yourservice provider.

Security code (4 to 8 digits)The security code protects the unauthorized use of your phone. It isusually supplied with the phone. This code is required to delete allphone entries and to activate Reset settings menu. The defaultnumber is 0000.

Write short message [Menu 1-1]You can write and edit text message, checking the number ofmessage pages.

Set tariff

You can set the currency type and the unit price. Contact yourservice providers to obtain charging unit prices. To select thecurrency or unit in this menu, you need the PIN2 code.

If you want to input @, , $ symbol, clear all currency strings andthen press* key. If you want to change symbol, press* key

again.

Set credit

This network service allows you to limit the cost of your calls byselected charging units. If you select Read, the number ofremaining unit is shown. If you select Change, you can changeyour charge limit.

Auto displayThis network service allows you to see automatically the cost ofyour last calls. If set to Yes, you can see the last cost when thecall is released.

Note

When all units have been used, no calls can be madeexcept emergency calls. Depending on the SIM card,you need the PIN2 code to set a call cost limit.

Security settings [Menu 4-5]PIN code request [Menu 4-5-1]In this menu, you can set the phone to ask for the PIN code of yourSIM card when the phone is switched on. If this function isactivated, youll be requested to enter the PIN code.

2. Set On/Off.

3. If you want to change the setting, you need to enter PIN codewhen you switch on the phone.

Automatic [Menu 4-6-1]If you select Automatic mode, the phone will automatically searchfor and select a network for you. Once you have selectedAutomatic, the phone will be set to Automatic even though thepower is off and on.

Manual [Menu 4-6-2]The phone will find the list of available networks and show you

them. Then you can select the network which you want to use if thisnetwork has a roaming agreement with your home networkoperator. The phone let you select another network if the phone failsto access the selected network. If you switch off the phone, thephone will be reset to Automatic.

Preferred [Menu 4-6-3]

You can set a list of preferred networks and the phone attempts toregister with first, before attempting to register to any othernetworks. This list is set from the phones predefined list of knownnetworks.
