Esempi di cover letter in inglese Prima di leggere le tre cover letter seguenti ti consiglio di dare un’occhiata all’articolo “Scrivere una cover letter” pubblicato su Nonvogliolavorare.it, dove spiego che struttura dovrebbe avere una buona cover letter e quali sono gli errori più comuni commessi al momento di prepararla. Ti consiglio anche di leggere il mio articolo su come preparare un curriculum vitae. Ho deciso di condividere tre cover letter, tutte spedite all’inizio del 2010, per farti capire come personalizzare ciascuna lettera a seconda del destinatario. Come vedrai, visto che si tratta di lettere che ho mandato durante lo stesso mese a tre università che si occupano di condurre ricerca scientifica in campi abbastanza simili, in gran parte si tratta della stessa lettera. Vi sono però alcune sezioni del testo – in rosso nelle lettere, – che cambiano a seconda del destinatario. In particolare, nel primo paragrafo ho specificato come sono venuto a conoscenza dell’offerta di lavoro per cui sto facendo domanda. Nel secondo paragrafo, quando opportuno, ho illustrato più nel dettaglio una data esperienza professionale piuttosto che un’altra. Il motivo è che ogni università – o azienda – sta cercando un candidato con esperienze e capacità particolari. Infine, nel terzo paragrafo, ho spiegato perché ero interessato a tale posizione di lavoro e in che modo avrei potuto rendermi utile. p.s. L’inglese non è la mia lingua madre quindi è possibile che vi siano errori. Credo però che, a meno che non si stia facendo domanda per diventare insegnanti d’inglese o traduttori, questo non sia troppo importante. Infatti un responsabile delle risorse umane con un po’ di sale in zucca è cosciente del fatto che, nel caso decida di assumere un italiano, la conoscenza perfetta dell’inglese non è una delle priorità dell’azienda.
