La collezione

L a tavella Liscia, prodotto per l’edilizia diantica tradizione ampiamente usato nel

rinascimento italiano quando il soffitto acapriate ne risaltava il fascino e il colore, oggi èparticolarmente indicata per la realizzazione dinuove soffittature dal tipico aspetto rustico, macaldo ed accogliente.

Nella tavella Sabbiata, dopo la trafilaturala sabbia viene posata sulla superficie lisciacreando così l’effetto rustico del cotto“storico”. Si tratta di un articolo dall’aspettotradizionale, ma che, come in tutte le altrefiniture, è dotato di tutte le irrinunciabilicaratteristiche di un prodotto moderno qualiresistenza, assorbimento e planarità.

Nella tavella Antica Pieve, la superficiesubisce dopo la fase di estrusione unaparticolare rullatura grazie alla quale l’effettoottenuto ricorda visivamente le tavellerealizzate a mano all’inizio del Novecento.

La sabbia fine è applicata sulla superficiein modo non uniforme creando un effettostonalizzato e anticato.

La tavella Granaio realizzata con la stessatecnologia dell’Antica Pieve risulta di un colorepiù giallo perché nella sua produzione il mix diargille sono più chiare. Come le altre tipologiele tavelle sono disponibili nei 3 interassi da 40,50 e 60 cm, formati che diventanoparticolarmente interessanti quando si hannolistelli altrettanto importanti e si vuolerealizzare una giusta proporzione tra legno elaterizio.

The Liscia tile, a product for the old traditionof building widely practiced in the Italian

Renaissance, when the trussed ceiling enhancedits appeal and color, is particularly suitabletoday for the construction of new ceilings witha typical rustic, but warm and cozy appearance.

In the Sabbiata tile, sand is applied to thesmooth surface of the tile after it has beendrawn, creating the rustic effect of “historic”terracotta. It is an article with a traditional look,but one which, like all the other finishes, isendowed with all the indispensable propertiesof a modern product, such as resistance,absorption and planarity.

In the Antica Pieve tile, the surface isgiven a special rolling after the phase ofextrusion, producing a visual effect reminiscentof the handmade tiles of the early 20th century.Fine sand is applied to the surface in an unevenway, creating a variegated and weathered effect.

Produced using the same technology as theAntica Pieve, the Granaio tile has a moreyellow cast because the clays in the mix fromwhich it is made are paler. Like the others in therange, the tiles are available in three lengths,40, 50 and 60 cm, formats that becomeparticularly interesting when the battens areequally important and one desires to create theright proportion between wood and brick.

Una volta scelta la modalità di posa,possiamo decidere per un sottotettocon o senza soletta di cemento.

Istruzionedi montaggio

1. Nel caso si scelga la posa con soletta di cemento, le tavelle vannoaccostate dal lato lungo e da quello corto. – In the case we choose the layingwith a concrete slab, the tiles should be arranged with their long sides and shortsides next to one another.

2. Dopo la posa di tutte le tavelle, nella superficie non a vista si pas-sa un rasante. – After all the tiles have been laid, a grout is spread in the partthat is not visible.

1. In alternativa, si fissano al centro dei travetti listelli del solito spes-sore delle tavelle e si procede accostando le stesse dal lato lungo.– In alternative, we place strips of wood by the same thinness of the tilesand then the tiles are laid with their long sides touching.

2. Dopo avere rasato le fughe, si diporrà lo strato isolante, base dipartenza per tutti i tetti ventilati o meno. – After spreading the insulator overthe tiles, we place the isolating layer, the base for all roofs, whether ventila-ted or not.

Fitting instructions

Once the method of laying has been chosen, we candecide to have a ceiling with or without the use of aconcrete slab.

3. Si stende un telo di Tyvek o tessuto non tessuto spessore 400gr.cosìcche non ci sia contatto alcuno tra cemento e terracotta. – A sheet ofTyvek or unwoven fabric with a thickness of 400 g is laid so that there is nocontact between concrete and terracotta.

4. A questo punto si procede realizzando la soletta in cls con rete elet-trosaldata. – At this point the slab of concrete can be poured with an arc-welded mesh.

3. A seconda delle preferenze progettuali si utilizzerà un tipo di mate-riale isolante piuttosto che un altro. Naturalmente l’uso di un certo tipo diisolante condiziona la scelta di realizzare un tetto microventilato (3.a) o ven-tilato (3.b) – According to the planning preferences we will use a type

of isolant material rather than another. Naturally the use of a certain type ofinsulator influences the choice to realize a ventilated (3.a) or a microventi-lated (3.b) roof.

evitando la successiva fase della pulizia connotevole risparmio di tempo. Il preciso profilodai fianchi sagomati garantisce rapidità efacilità di montaggio, riducendo i tempi diesecuzione e i costi per la realizzazione finale.Dal basso si posiziona sui correnti la primatavella e di seguito a salire tutte le altre, chevanno accostate avendo cura di fare aderireperfettamente i due lati lunghi. Il prodotto semontato a regola d’arte non deve esseresottoposto ad ulteriori passaggi.

Dry laying: modernity and originality

The perfect tongue-and-groove joint permits the

realization of an original andmodern ceiling, and above allone that is easy and rapid to

install without filling in the gaps.

T he Solava tile can be laid dry, i.e.without filling the joints and thus

avoiding the subsequent cleaning phase,resulting in a considerable saving of time.The precise profile with shaped sidesguarantees speed and ease of fitting,reducing the time needed for installationand the overall cost of construction. Thefirst tile is set on the battens at the bottomand all the others placed above it, takingcare that the two long sides adhereperfectly. If the product is installed properlyno further steps are required.

Posa a malta:la tradizione

P er la posa tradizionale è necessarioassestare una ad una le tavelle sui

travetti, e man mano che si procede sistucca la fuga della tavella dal latolungo con malta di calce idraulicanaturale a basso contenuto di salisolubili (oppure con premiscelato) e lasi fa aderire dal lato lungo con latavella precedentemente posata. Dopoqualche ora, o comunque quando ilmateriale avrà fatto presa, con appositoraschietto si elimina il superfluo dallaparte a vista.

Chi ama ambienti dalsapore rustico della

tradizionesicuramente preferirà

le finiture anticate ela posa con le

classiche fughestuccate, come

venivano realizzate nel passato.

Laying with mortar:the tradition

Thos who are fond of settingswith a traditional rustic flavor

will undoubtedly prefer tileswith weathered finishes andlaid with filled joints, as was

done in the past.

F or the traditional method of layingit is necessary to place the tiles on

the battens one by one, and as youproceed to fill the gap on the longside of the tile with mortar madefrom natural hydraulic lime with alow content of soluble salts (or withlime cement) and then make it adhereto the long side of the previously laidtile. After a few hours, or when thematerial has set, the excess iseliminated from the visible part witha suitable scraper.

L a norma UNI 11128 individuarequisiti necessari, modalità di prova

e relative tolleranze. Le tavelle Solavasono corredate di certificato di provagarantito dal Certimac, entecertificatore esterno al produttore (vediTabella).

Grazie alle intercapedini chefunzionano come strati di isolamento eai fianchi sagomati che riducono inmodo sensibile le dispersioni termiche,la tavella Solava, oltre ad avere un pesoal metro quadrato relativamente basso,garantisce un buon isolamento termicoed acustico, dimostrandosi prodottosano e contribuendo al comfort e allasalubrità degli ambienti.

methods and relative tolerance. Solavatiles are accompanied by a testcertificate guaranteed by Certimac, acertifying body independent of themanufacturer (see Table).

Thanks to the air spaces thatfunction as layers of insulation and theshaped sides that considerably reducethe loss of heat, the Solava hollow tilenot only has a relatively low weight persquare meter but provides good thermalinsulation and soundproofing, showingitself to be a sound product andcontributing to the comfort andsalubrity of the house.
