Arriva Natale ...è tempodi presepiUna tradizione popolare quella del Presepe vivente, che rinnova il senso della solidarietà, della cooperazione, dell’amicizia, della pace e della serenità. Il primo «Presepio Vivente», risale ai tempi di S. Francesco d’Assisi (vissuto 44 anni, dall’inverno 1181/82 fi no al crepuscolo del sabato 3 ottobre 1226), e fu proprio il Serafi co Padre che nella notte di Natale del 1223 realizzò per la prima volta in un bosco di Greccio, nell’alto Lazio, unitamente ai suoi frati, una sacra rappresentazione vivente della Natività.Ai nostri giorni e nei nostri luoghi la tradizione si rinnova. E l’atmosfera è sempre magica.

BISCEGLIE - Uno scenario naturale ve-drà all’opera i giovani scout del Gruppo di Bisceglie per la 33esima edizione del Presepe Vivente (25/26/27 dicembre, 2/3 gennaio) nelle Grotte di S.Croce: in un percorso di circa 600 metri, su un area di circa 10mila metri quadri, il vi-sitatore potrà osservare le capanne dei vari mestieri di duemila anni fa fra le fi latrici, il fornaio, il vasaio, il torciaio, il canestraio, il fabbro, il ramaio, il fruttivendolo, lo spaccalegna, il pesca-tore, la lavandaia, il falegname. Con loro i pastori all’opera per preparare i latticini, i soldati romani ed il censore attendono nell’ osteria realmente fun-zionante con fuoco centrale e diver-se pietanze servite in vasi di terra-cotta. Nel villaggio la vita si svolge realmente : un drappello di soldati romani catturano qualche sbandato per condurlo dinanzi al censore, i gla-diatori combattono e le danzatrici si esibiscono a corte. Alle spalle del vil-laggio la natività davanti all’ingresso della splendida Grotta di S. Croce : il bambinello è posato in una rudimen-tale mangiatoia, riscaldato da bue ed asinello. Tutte le suppellettili presenti sono originali della tradizione con-tadina, altre riprodotte dagli Scout per l’occasione. Circa 80 comparse interpretate dai giovani scout e tanti animali rendono l’intera rappresen-tazione viva e veritiera. Non mancano i tre re magi per offrire al Divino Re-dentore tre caratteristici doni. Con la speranza che quella magica atmosfera possa veramente favorire l’apertura ad un amore ed una fratellanza che non si esaurisca in quei giorni.(a cura di Mimmo Rana)

CANOSA DI PUGLIA – E’ sempre più…vi-vente il Presepe organizzato dal Comitato Presepe Vivente di Canosa di Puglia in col-laborazione con la parrocchia Maria SS. del Rosario: allestito sull’area archeologica di 12.000 mq. della ex fornace in zona Costan-tinopoli (di proprietà della famiglia D’Am-bra), la sua magia richiama migliaia di visi-tatori da molte città della Puglia e anche da fuori regione. Un evento che rappresenta un cammino di fede per quanti si mettono in viaggio (48.000 in sole sei serate nella scorsa edizione) alla ricerca del vero senso del Na-tale per scoprirne il Mistero: la VI edizione (in programma il 26, 27, 29, 30 dicembre e 2, 3, 5, 6, gennaio, dalle 17.30 alle 20.30) con-ferma la partecipazione di oltre 300 fi guranti che animeranno il tipico villaggio palestinese del I° sec. d.C., arricchito di nuove scene di vita quotidiana. I fi guranti nei tipici costumi mediorientali si ritroveranno in un’atmosfe-

ra suggestiva fatta di odori e suoni unici e genuini (la legna che brucia, il pane azzimo che cuoce, i panni sbattuti contro le pietre del ruscello, le danze al banchetto nuziale, le voci dei rabbini nella sinagoga, le risate dei bambini che giocano a fare la guerra ) che fanno rievocare i tempi in cui è nato Gesù. La manifestazione anche quest’anno ha il patro-cinio del Comune e dell’ assessorato Turismo e Archeologia, della Regione, della Provincia, della Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno, di Can-saweb, della radio LoveFm e dell’Agenzia Puglia Imperiale Turismo. Da non perdere il 26 dicembre la rappresentazione dell’Annun-ciazione , alle ore 17, sul sagrato della chiesa di Maria SS. del Rosario. BARLETTA - “Il Cuore del Presepio nella Provincia Barletta-Andria-Trani ”. Rivalu-tare il presepe nella tradizione culturale e religiosa, ricreare la magia del Natale per donare ai visitatori soprattutto più piccoli un momento di gioia. E’ con questo spiri-to che in occasione del primo Natale della Provincia Barletta-Andria-Trani, le associa-zioni «Amici del Presepio» di Canosa di Puglia e l’associazione nazionale « Dopo-LavoroFerroviario » di Barletta organizzano la I Mostra-Concorso di Presepi Artistici, sul tema “ Il Cuore del Presepio nella Provin-cia Barletta-Andria-Trani », rivolto a tutti gli artigiani del Presepio, artisti, scuole, Istituti d’Arte e tutti quelli che con passione realiz-zano presepi. Le opere partecipanti all’ini-ziativa saranno in mostra presso la Galleria del Teatro Curci in Barletta dal 13 dicembre al 6 gennaio. Verranno premiate da una giuria esterna (a tutti partecipanti verranno consegnati attestati di partecipazione)nel

corso di una manifestazione alla chiusura della Mostra , il 6 Gennaio.

TRANI – Un Presepe vivente in chiave tra-dizionale nella Chiesa Santa Maria delle Grazie (più conosciuta come i Cappucci-ni): il 26/27 dicembre e 3 gennaio (dalle 17 alle 19) II edizione del Presepe Vivente realizzato all’interno dello spazio parroc-chiale, sotto il suggestivo e incantevole edifi cio sacro risalente al 1591 e consi-derato tra i più belli di tutto il vasto pa-trimonio chiesastico tranese. Una serie di quadri scenografi ci, unici per la presenza di un elevatissimo numero di attrezzi rari (di proprietà del prof. Aurora), rappresen-tanti mestieri scomparsi, daranno vita ad un immaginario spaccato di vita di tanti anni fa, con ben 300 partecipanti di ogni età nei ruoli più diversi.Uno scenario caldo ed accogliente, quasi magico per la luce diffusa da circa 400 caratteristici piatti in cera, 50 i giorni di preparazione; 40 i qua-dri scenografi ci nella pineta e nella zona antistante la chiesa; tanti i neonati di 4, 5 e 6 mesi che si alternano nel ruolo di “Gesu’ Bambino”; vario bestiame utilizzato per far rivivere il Natale nel suo vero e profondo signifi cato cristiano. Don Gaetano Lops re-cupera così la tradizione presepistica con grande successo, in collaborazione con le associazioni Associazione maschile e fem-minile Madonna del Pozzo, Azione Cat-tolica parrocchiale, Casa di riposo Vittorio Emanuele II, Gruppo Scout Agesci Trani 2, Unitalsi e C.T.G. (Centro Turistico Giovanile “Il Castello” Trani) quest’ultima già promo-trice (del 1° Presepe Vivente cittadino) di ben 15 edizioni realizzate nell’antico Quar-tiere Ebraico “La Giudecca” di Trani.

A popular tradition, that of of the living Creche, which renews the sense of solidarity, cooperation, friendship, peace and serenity. The fi rst “Living Nativity”, dates back to the times of St. Francis of Assisi (who lived 44 years, from winter 1181/82 until the dusk of Saturday, October 3, 1226), and it was the Seraphic Father who, on Christmas Eve of year 1223, held for the fi rst time in a forest in Greccio, in the High Lazio, together with his brothers, a sacred representation of the living Nativity. In our days and in our places the tradition is renewed. And the atmosphere is always magical.

BISCEGLIE - A natural setting will see at work the young scouts of the Bisceglie Group for the 33rd edition of the Living Nativity (25/26/27 December, 2 / 3 January) in the S.Croce Grottos : in a route of about 600 metres, on an area of about 10 thousand square metres, the visitor will see the huts of the various two thousand years ago oc-cupations among whom the spinners, the baker, the potter, the torch maker, the basket

maker, the blacksmith, the coppersmith, the greengrocer, the woodcutter, the fi sherman, the washerwoman, the carpenter. With their pastors working to prepare the curd, the Ro-man soldiers and the censor waiting in the inn, really working with the central fi re and a variety of dishes served in clay pots. In the village, life really takes place : a troop of Ro-

man soldiers catches a few scumbags to lead before the Censor, the gladiators fi ght and the dancers perform at court. Behind the vil-lage the nativity is set in front of the beautiful S.Croce’s Grotto: the Baby Jesus is laid on a crude manger, heated by an ox and a donkey. All these furnishings are original from country tradition, others recreated by the scouts for the occasion. About 80 extras interpreted by the young scouts and loads of animals make the whole performance alive and truthful. Of course there are also the three Mages offer-ing the Divine Redeemer the three character-istic gifts. With the hope that the magical at-mosphere could really promote the opening to love and brotherhood beyond these days. (ed. Mimmo Rana)

six nights in the last edition) to fi nd the true meaning of Christmas and discover its mys-tery: the sixth edition (scheduled for 26, 27, 29, 30 December and 2, 3, 5, 6, January, from 17.30 to 20.30) confi rms the participation of over 300 people in costume who will animate the typical Palestinian village of the fi rst cen-tury AD, enriched with new scenes of every-day life. Actors in the typical Middle Eastern costumes will meet in an inviting atmos-phere made of scents and sounds unique and genuine (wood burning, the cooking un-leavened bread, the laundry tossed against the rocks of the stream, dances at the wed-ding feast, rabbis’ voices in the synagogue, the laughter of children playing at war) recalling the days when Jesus was born. The event is sponsored by The Municipality and the City ‘s Department of Tourism and Archeology, the Region, the Province, the Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno, Canosaweb, the LoveFm radio and Puglia Imperiale Tourism Agency. Do not miss, on December 26, the representation of the Annunciation, at 17, in front of the church of Maria SS. Del Rosario. Following, the actors proces-sion set out towards the village of the crib.

BARLETTA - “The Heart of the Nativ-ity in the Province Barletta-Andria-Trani”. Enhancing the crib in the cultural and re-ligious tradition, recreating the magic of Christmas to give visitors, especially young ones, a moment of joy. It’s with this spirit that in occasion of the fi rst Christmas of the Province of Barletta-Andria-Trani, the associations «Amici del Presepio» of Ca-nosa di Puglia and the National associa-tion « DopoLavoroFerroviario » of Barletta organize the 1st Show-Competition of Artistic Nativity on the theme «The Heart of the Nativity in the Province Barletta-Andria-Trani» addressed to all Crib arti-sans, artists, schools, art institutes and all those who passionately create cribs. The works involved in the initiative will be on display at the Galleria del Teatro Curci in Barletta from 13 December to 6 January.

They will be awarded by an external jury (all participants will be awarded certifi -cates of participation) during a demonstra-tion at the close of the Show, January 6.

TRANI - A Living Nativity in a traditional key in the Church of Santa Maria delle Gra-zie (better known as the Capuchins) : on 26/27 December and 3 January (from 17 to 19) second edition of the Living Nativity built within the Parish area, under the strik-ing and beautiful religious building dating back to 1591 and considered one of the most beautiful in the whole vast ecclesiasti-cal heritage of Trani. A series of theatrical paintings, unique for the presence of large numbers of rare tools (owned by prof. Au-rora), representing far gone professions, will give life to a fi ctional slice of a distant past everyday’s life, with 300 participants of all ages in many different roles. A warm and welcoming scenario, almost magical for its light scattered from about 400 typi-cal wax dishes, 50 days of preparation, 40 scenic paintings in the pine forest and the area in front of the church, many infants of 4, 5 and 6 months alternating in the role of the « Baby Jesus »; various livestock used to revive the Christmas in its true and deep Christian meaning. Don Gaetano Lops recov-ered so the crib making tradition with great success, in cooperation with the associations Associazione maschile e femminile Madonna del Pozzo, the Parish Catholic Action, the Elderly Home Vittorio Emanuele II, the Scout Group Agesci Trani 2, the Unitalsi and the CTG (Youth Tourist Center «Il Castello» Trani) the latter already sponsor of one City Living Nativity and of 15 editions realized in the an-cient Jewish Quarter «La Giudecca» of Trani.
