Why Have Them? To incent customers to
expand seats of existing or new workloads

1. Available on Plan 1 and Team Members, Enterprise edition
2. Price tier is determined by total number of existing Plan 1 and Plan 2 seats plus new seats
3. Qualification rules:
1. Plan 1 and Plan 2 seats both count toward Plan 1 tiers (including FromSA/Add-on SKUs)
2. Team Members seats count toward Team Members tiers
4. Seats remain at their purchase price until renewal. At renewal, all seats may renew into the single
lowest tier.
5. Tiered pricing is in addition to programmatic discounts, where available
6. Not available in MOSP, nor any EDU and charity
7. Each tier is transacted via a separate SKU, partners are responsible for selecting the appropriate tier level
prior to transacting seats.
8. In EA programs all tiers should be added to the customer price sheet (CPS)
9. Seat true downs should occur on a LIFO method (Last seats purchased are the first trued-down) basis.
10. If true down activity at anniversary results in a customer owning a quantity of seats that no longer
qualifies them for the tier they last purchased at then the customer must replace, at the time of true
down, the tiered seats they haven’t owned for a full year with tiered seats at the price tier that equates to
their new post true down qualified seat total.
