INITIAL CLEANING If the surface cleaning after fitting the tiles is not performed properly or not at all, it can often lead to stain marks that will make it difficult to keep the floor or walls clean, even if they are cleaned daily. To remove any residues of cement, grout, lime, cement grouts used in the joints etc., the surface should be thoroughly cleaned using specific acid-based detergents, applied carefully using a cloth, following the manufac-turer’s instructions.Where possible we recommend using a floor polisher with soft disks.Before using any detergent, always carry out a test on an extra tile.

ORDINARY CLEANINGTo allow the product to maintain its natural sheen, ordinary cleaning should always be carried out with plenty of lukewarm water and normal, neutral detergents for home use.

PRIMA PULIZIA “DOPOSA”La pulizia male effettuata, o addirittura non fatta, è spesso causa di alona-ture che impediscono di mantenere pulito il pavimento o rivestimento nono-stante una buona pulizia quotidiana. Per rimuovere i residui di cemento, boiacca, calce, stucchi cementizi per le fughe ecc. si deve effettuare una pulizia profonda con l’utilizzo di specifici detergenti a base di acidi tamponati seguendo attentamente il manuale d’u-so dei produttori.Quando è possibile si consiglia l’uso di monospazzola con dischi morbidi.Prima dell’uso dei detergenti eseguire sempre un test preventivo su una piastrella non posata.

PULIZIA ORDINARIAAffinchè il prodotto mantenga la sua naturale lucentezza, la pulizia ordinaria deve essere sempre eseguita con abbondante acqua tiepida utilizzando normali detergenti domestici a base neutra.

INTRODUCTIONThis instrument is based on the wish to supply our customers with simple, valid information to allow them to obtain the desired look when they pur-chase floor/wall tiles of the ST branch.

Before fitting, it is important to check that the substrate is:- MECHANICALLY RESISTANT- CLEAN- TOTALLY FREE OF CRACKS- SEASONED

FITTING THE TILES Porcelain stoneware has a vitrified surface with basically no pores. For this reason, we recommend fitting this material with adhesives that can ensure perfect adhesion over time and maximum reliability. It is always advisable to leave joints gaps of at least 2 mm and to plan for expansion joints between the tiles (for around every 20-25 square metres inside and every 9-16 square metres outside).

GROUTING THE JOINTSThis operation should be carried out using a rubber or plastic spatula, in order to ensure that the joints between tiles are properly filled, even and compact. We suggest using pre-prepared coloured grouts as they offer numerous advantages, such as the possibility to match the tile colour and a lower level of porosity. Remove any excess grout while still fresh.

Prima della posa è necessario verificare che il supporto sia:- RESISTENTE MECCANICAMENTE- PULITO- PRIVO DI FESSURAZIONI- STAGIONATO

ESECUZIONE DELLA POSA Il Grès porcellanato è un materiale che presenta una superficie vetrificata, con porosità praticamente nulla. Per questo motivo si raccomanda la posa mediante l’uso di adesivi in grado di assicurare una perfetta adesione nel tempo e garantire il massimo dell’affidabilità. É sempre consigliabile la posa con fuga di almeno 2 mm e la progettazione di giunti di frazionamento tra le piastrelle (circa ogni 20-25 m2 all’interno e ogni 9-16 m2 all’esterno).

STUCCATURA DELLE FUGHEPer la realizzazione di questa operazione si utilizza una spatola di gomma o di materiale plastico, in modo da ottenere un riempimento completo, rego-lare e compatto delle fughe tra le piastrelle. Per il riempimento delle fughe si consiglia l’utilizzo di malte premiscelate colorate in quanto esse offrono vantaggi notevoli, quali la possibilità di abbi-namento cromatico con il materiale ceramico e una minore porosità. Rimuovere i residui del riempitivo utilizzato quando questo è ancora fresco.

Una caratteristica peculiare dei prodotti ST è la estrema facilità di lavorazione: il materiale può essere facilmente tagliato, sagomato e forato in cantiere con i tradizionali utensili meccanici come smerigliatrici, trapani, frese e avvitatori, oltre a tagliapiastrelle adeguate al formato in uso. È importante assicurarsi un piano di lavoro planare e pulito e stabile.Si consiglia l’uso di guanti per le lavorazioni manuali, e di guanti, mascherine antipolvere e occhiali protettivi nel caso di lavorazioni che prevedano l’utilizzo di utensili meccanici.

A distinct characteristic of the ST products lies in their extremely easy processing methods: the material is easy to cut, shape and drill holes in using the traditional tools found on building sites, such as grinders, drills, milling machines, and screw machines, in addition to tile cutters that are adequate for the shape being used. Itisvitalthattheworksurfacesarecompletelyflat,cleanandstable.We recommend the use of goods for manual work, and gloves, dust masks and protective glasses when working with tile layouts that require the use of mechanic tools.
