King Coll ege Cyclocross Race, Oct ober 31, 2010 Race a 2 nd race for $5 *payouts will not exceed $499 Sponsors: Course & Race Information Tornado CX will be another challenging course on the campus of King College. Running through the woods trail a nd skirting both sides of the lake before making the climb up the hill toward the main entrance. Multiple switchbacks and a couple of short steep climbs will have everyone ready for the brief descent back toward the Student Center Complex and the start/finish area. The race sponsors include Primalwear, Swiftwick and Food City in addition to huge support from our local bike shops Mountain Sports, Piney Flats Cycles and Highlands Ski and Outdoors. Registration will take place in the foyer of the Student Center Complex and all facilities will be open for riders and spectators to use. That means no portable toilets and a warm, dry place to watch the race in case of poor weather. King’s athletic training staff will be on site to handle any medical issues. Some concessions will also be a vailable for purchase. General Information: USAC rules will g overn all r aces * R ace Registration will begin at 9:30 AM. You may register up to 15 minutes before the start of each race . * Tornado Cross is a USAC sanctioned event. * All race rs must present a valid USAC ra c in g license. Unlicensed ride rs wil l be required to purchase a $10.00 “one day license”, and be placed in the CX 4 men or Women. *All riders will be required to complete and sign a “standard athlete’s entry release f orm”. * Entry fe e includ es $3 USAC insurance surcharge * Entry fee includes $1 per r ace TB R A surcharge * All races w ill ta ke pla ce rain or s hine * All ri ders must wear ANSI approved helmets. * Bar ends must be removed from mountain bik es. * No ref unds o f entry fees. * Organizer reserves right to combine f ields, fields with fewer than four riders may be combined or canceled. * Protest period wi ll be 15 minutes after results are posted.
