Gisborne District Council

Gisborne District Council's administration centre in

Fitzherbert Street comprises 3 main buildings built in

1954, 1980 and 2001. The Christchurch earthquake in

2011 led Council to assess its buildings built before 1976

(when building code changes were introduced). Engineers

found that on 1954 building was earthquake prone and in

October 2011 Council’s building consents team issued a

notice to vacate or repair the building by October 2016.

Council investigated options from strengthening to a

complete rebuild to accommodate all staff. In May 2014

Council approved a complete rebuild as the preferred

option. Now, the District Council working with Chow Hill

architects to further develop a preferred new build.

Residential Building in Bagnoli

The Quartiere Bagnoli district, the site of a former Italsider factory, is a new part of the city of Naples. This

transformed post-industrial brownfield site shares many characteristics with Naples’s urban fabric the clear

hierarchy of the design, its functional stratification and an overall similarity in the size of buildings and

materials used for their construction. This urban renewal project has reconnected the city to its natural

context, which in Naples is defined by the nearby seaside and Posillipo’s hill. This new district, for a long time

separated from the city centre, now feels psychologically closer.

Santa Maria delle Grazie Church

The original design is dictated by the

seventeenth-century cannons and can be divided

into two orders, mutually separated by a long and

elegant cornice molded, which runs almost

horizontally cuts the whole façade. The task was

to restore worn parts by time and carelessness

of man. The damage to the facade are

classified according to the lexicon NORMAL

1/88 and include various degradations such as

efflorescence, detachment, erosion, presence of

vegetation, fracturing of the masonry,

discoloration, stain, biological patina. On each

one of these degradations they have been

applied different methods of restoration as

provided by law. The goal is to give a new

light to the church and the community of the

faithful who pray in it.

Residential building in Naples

The apartment complex is located in an area of great impact degrading device. There have been several

projects over the years, but none has had an upper hand over the other. Today it has a very important market

area but without any kind of control and therefore it was decided to resettle in another place. The increasing

growth of the city needs a greater need for homes. The building looks like a block which has different types of

accommodation. For there are one, two, three and four rooms for large families. Being very extended

horizontality is the host, while in younger prospects horizontality is more marked because they change the

types of buildings that become from home online home to the gallery.
