Quando li trovi nelle librerie saltano subito agli occhi (l'ono-matopea 'pop-up' è perfetta) e non puoi fare a meno di aprir-li per lasciare sbocciare i mondi in essi ben ripiegati. Nati nel Quattrocento come volumi scientifico-didattici, questi libri sono un successo editoriale che ha milioni di appassionati nel mondo: un dato che stupisce pensando ai nostri giorni tutti schermi 3D, occhiali magici e realtà aumentata. La magia dei libri pop-up sta tutta in un elaborato gioco di carta che può portare ovunque nel mondo. Come accade grazie ai raffinati volumi dedicati alle grandi metropoli.
