Bubba Watson had the week’s long drive, 411 yards, and averaged 320.9 yards, while David Lingmerth was T1 in driving accuracy at 83.33%, 50 of 60 fairways. Both also relied on G 3-woods.

A fter his winning putt dropped, tears fell from South African Brandon Stone, whose first

European Tour title was emotional as he captured his national championship Sunday at the BMW SA Open. He won by two shots at -14 on rounds of 71, 67, 65, 71. At 22, he is the youngest winner of the event since it became co-sanctioned with the European Tour in 1997.

“It’s too good to be true,” Stone said,

playing in his first full season on the European Tour. “There were a lot of ups and downs in that final round but to come out on top at the end is incredible.”

Stone relied on a G30 driver and 3-wood, Rapture driving iron, S55 irons, Glide wedges, and a Cadence TR Ketsch putter.

He also wore the Shaw polo from the new PING Apparel collection.

Bubba Watson (top), sporting his signature pink, and David Lingmerth, were long and accurate with the G driver.
