And Venice Music Project have only recently rediscovered much of that music, so you are among the first people to hear it in modern day! In 2013, a group of internationally acclaimed musicians, tired of traveling the world and hoping to make a difference in this fragile city that is our home, created Venice Music Project. Since our founding, we have been overwhelmed by the international support that we have received to sustain our mission to provide international-level concerts of Venice’s musical treasures for local subscribers and visitors. While we enjoy a cult following among Baroque music lovers, it is equally satisfying to meet first-time concertgoers after the show and hear comments like, “I’ve never been to a classical concert before, but now I am going to start going! I never knew it could be so amazing!” Besides the satisfaction of helping to protect this fragile city and her heritage, we are absolutely astounded by the incredible music we are unearthing through musical archaeology. The world truly went mad for Mozart and forgot all the amazing music that preceded and inspired him. Composers that he wrote about in his correspondence with his family are just waiting to be rediscovered, and we are on it! Join our cheering section and hear these composers find their voices again. E Venice Music Project ha riscoperto solo di recente molta di quella musica, quindi sei tra le prime persone a sentirlo nei giorni nostri! Nel 2013, un gruppo di musicisti di fama internazionale, stanchi di viaggiare per il mondo e sperando di fare la differenza in questa fragile città che è la nostra casa, ha creato Venice Music Project. Fin dalla nostra fondazione, siamo stati felici del supporto internazionale che abbiamo ricevuto per sostenere la nostra causa, eseguire concerti di livello internazionale e far scoprire i tesori musicali di Venezia per gli abbonati e i visitatori locali. Mentre ci godiamo un seguito di culto tra gli amanti della musica barocca, è altrettanto soddisfacente incontrare gli spettatori dopo il loro primo concerto e ascoltare commenti come "Non sono mai stato a un concerto di musica classica prima, ma ora inizierò ad andare! Non ho mai pensato che potesse essere così divertente!" Oltre alla soddisfazione di aiutare a proteggere questa città e la sua eredità, siamo assolutamente sbalorditi dall'incredibile musica che stiamo scoprendo attraverso l'archeologia musicale. Il mondo davvero impazzì per Mozart e dimenticò tutta la musica straordinaria che lo ha preceduto e ispirato. I compositori di cui ha scritto lo stesso Mozart nella corrispondenza con la sua famiglia stanno solo aspettando di essere riscoperti e noi siamo qui per questo!
