Con questa creazione ho voluto offrire la possibilità di ascoltare “uno Stradivari” a casa propria anche a chi non sa suonare uno strumento. Per ottenere questo risultato ho attinto alla mia esperienza ventennale sulla costruzione di tavole armoniche per pianoforti, arpe

e violini, con cui ho ottenuto notorietà in tutto il mondo. Infatti i sistemi Flat Wood System sono da considerarsi degli “strumenti di ascolto musicale” e non dei diffusori audio tradizionali. E ci puoi ascoltare tutta la tua musica. Le normali casse audio, con magnete e cono in poliammide, riproducono la musica imitando gli strumenti musicali, mentre le tavole armoniche dei sistemi FWS che ho ideato sono veri strumenti che ri-suonano sul legno i brani musicali dei cd attraverso la vibrazione della tavola.

With this creation, I would like to offer the opportunity to listen to a “Stradivarius” at home also to those people who cannot play a musical instrument. To achieve this result, I made the best use of my 20 years’ experience in manufacturing soundboards for pianos, harps and

stringed instruments, praised for their quality all over the world. In fact the FWS systems should be considered a “music listening instruments“ and not a traditional loudspeakers, although you can listen to any of your favourite music. While the standard hi-fi loudspeakers with a magnete and a polyammid cone reproduce the music, imitating the musical instruments, the soundboards of the FWS systems are real instruments, “re-playing” on the wood the music of a CD through the vibrations of the soundboard.

In Valle di Fiemme il legno è vita e tradizione da oltre 900 anni. È infatti dal 1111 che la Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme e la sua gente curano e proteggono queste magiche foreste di abete rosso. Ancora oggi la Magnifica Comunità gestisce le foreste di abete della Val di Fiemme, rispettando

l’equilibrio naturale del bosco. Oltre 60 milioni di alberi sono il partimonio lasciato alla gente di Fiemme dagli antichi Avi. Oggi la tradizione continua con l’utilizzo di questo legno per differenti lavorazioni di eccellenza, tra cui l’impiego più nobile e ricercato è la musica.

Già dal XVI secolo i liutai riconoscevano all’abete della Valle di Fiemme proprietà acustiche eccezionali ed esso divenne materiale prezioso e ricercato dalle grandi famiglie della liuteria artistica cremonese: gli Amati, i Guarneri e lo stesso Antonio Stradivari.

In the Fiemme Valley, wood has always meant life and tradition. Since 1111 the people of the Valley and the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme have been taking care of these magical forests. Even today, the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme manages the woods of Fiemme spruce in full respect of the eco-

system. More than 60 million trees are the heritage left to the people of the valley by their ancestors. The tradition is maintained today: this wood is used in different areas, some of excellence. Among them, the most noble is for musical instruments.

Already in the 16th century, the Italian violin makers recognized the extraordinary acoustic properties of the Fiemme Valley’s spruce. It became soon a precious and much-requested tonewood by Cremona’s famous families of violin makers, such as the Amatis, the Guarneris and the great Stradivari.

Das Holz bedeutet im Fleimstal seit immer Leben und Tradition. Seit dem Jahr 1111 pflegen und schätzen die Generalgemeinde Fleims und die Einwohner des Tales die Wälder von wertvollen Fichten. Noch heutzutage verwaltet die Generalgemeinde Fleims die Wälder, mit großer

Rücksicht der Natur und des Umweltschutzes. Mehr als 60 Millionen Bäume bilden das Vermögen, das die Ahnen den Einwohnern vom Fleimstal hinterlassen haben.

Schon im XVI Jahrhundert haben die Geigenbauer die akustischen Eigenschaften der Fiemme Fichte erkannt und das Tonholz wurde ein wertvolles und begehrtes Material für die berühmten Familien von Geigenbauern aus Cremona, wie die Amatis, die Guarneris und A. Stradivari.

Su queste montagne, nel cuore delle Dolomiti, gli alberi crescono lentamente in un clima ideale per oltre 150 anni prima di donare il loro prezioso legno agli strumenti musicali costruiti da esperti artigiani in tutti i continenti.

Ed esiste soltanto una azienda in Italia che conserva il sapere di queste artistiche lavorazioni, che trasformano la materia prima accuratamente selezionata e lugamente stagionata in tavole armoniche per gli strumenti musicali. Ha sede a Tesero, in Val di Fiemme, dove nel suo laboratorio ogni gesto nel costruire è guidato da esperienza, maestria e passione non comuni.

La Ciresa ha concepito questa nuova serie anche con il contributo di Designer professionisti che hanno espresso la loro arte in questo nuovo orizzonte.

FWS Classic

Sono state ideate come un quadro, sospese come tele di un artista in una cornice che può essere realizzata in diversi colori ed essenze, per poter essere integrate al meglio in ogni ambiente in cui si voglia

ascoltare la buona musica strumentale. Il montaggio a parete avviene per mezzo di quattro distanziali in acciaio satinato, che tengono la tavola armonica di FWS Classic a circa 10 cm dalla parete. Arreda come un quadro d’autore, regala emozioni come un potente e brillante strumento musicale.

This model, conceived like a picture, hangs on the wall like a canvas inside a frame. The frame can be made with different types of wood and colours, to adapt to the specific ambient, for the best music

listening. The system is fitted on the wall with four steel spacers that keep the FWS classic 10 cm from the wall. The FWS classic furnishes like a picture, but it creates emotions like a strong and brilliant musical instrument.

Dieses Modell, welches als ein Bild gedacht wurde, hängt an der Wand wie ein Kunstwerk im Rahmen. Der Rahmen kann in verschiedenen Holzarten und Farben gefertigt sein, um zur Raumeinrichtung zu

Queste due tavole armoniche godono della trasparenza del vetro. Come sospese a mezz’aria si fondono nell’elegante design del supporto in vetro temperato, in un delicato contrasto con il legno

naturale delle tavole sonore. Adatte per ambienti luminosi e moderni, sono state disegnate da Kensaku Oshiro per essere ammirate attraverso una presenza palpabile di forme schiette e di musica sublime. Sono disponibili sia nel modello da installare a parete (150 mm sporgenza) che da appoggio a terra (260 mm di piede).

These two soundboards are highlighted by the transparency of the glass. It looks as if they are suspended in mid-air, and merge into the elegant design of the stand, a delicate contrast between the glass and the

natural wood of the soundboard. FWS crystal is particularly suitable for luminous and modern rooms. It has been conceived by the designer Kensaku Oshito to show genuine shapes and produce sublime music. genera dalle vibrazioni della tavola armonica in legno di abete dalla fibra perfetta. Si adattano bene sia ad ambienti classici che a spazi moderni e di linee pulite. Irradiano la musica in tutte le direzioni, come un vero strumento musicale, esibendo la loro eleganza, da ogni prospettiva, nell’accurata lavorazione dei particolari. Possono essere installate anche a parete o capovolte, pendenti dal soffitto.

Rappresenta l’interpretazione più diretta di uno strumento musicale; la tavola armonica rimane sospesa alle corde di una moderna arpa, che richiama sensualmente alla musica. Progettata dai designer

Kaluderovic & Condini non a caso prende il nome dalla Musa della musica Euterpe, figlia di Zeus. Si anima con la musica calda e ritmata in un crescendo armonico di emozioni e propone, incisi a fuoco sul legno, testi di Igor Stravinskij. Estremamente raffinata, è una creatura da esibire, da ammirare da ogni lato. Può essere posizionata a terra, con uno stelo in acciaio che la sostiene o appesa per decorare una parete intera con le sue morbide forme.

This is the best reinterpretation of a musical instrument: the soundboard hangs from the strings of a modern harp, like a sensuous calling to the music. It is not a chance that the name of this model, conceived

by the designers Kaluderovic&Condini, is inspired by Euterpe, the Muse of the music, daughter of Zeus. It gets lively with the warmth and rhythm of music in a harmonic “crescendo”of emotions. Lyrics by Igor Stravinskij are engraved on the soundboard into the wood. tate su base armonica. Pertanto l’emissione sonora è nitida ed efficace e si discosta com-pletamente dal concetto della direzionalità delle casse audio tradizionali con coni in po-liammide.

La membrana vibrante è il legno, lavorato a pochi millimetri di spessore e come la tavola armonica di un violino o di un pianoforte ge-nera il suono nella sua stessa fibra, irradian-dolo in tutte le direzioni.

Questo consente di posizionare le tavole FWS in un ambiente a proprio piacimento, dove l’arredo presente consente spazi e posizioni adatte, o semplicemente dove è possibile ar-rivare con i fili di segnale audio. I modelli de-sign FWS sono anche componenti di arredo e possono essere scelti e collocati a completa-mento estetico degli spazi, senza trovare li-miti per la qualità di ascolto.

Alcuni modelli trovano la loro collocazione nella sola installazione a parete, altri posso-no essere posizionati sia in appoggio su mobi-li o supporti, sia a terra.

Questi “strumenti di ascolto” musicale sono una grande innovazione con radici antiche, proprie dalla liuteria e della tecnica costrut-tiva degli strumenti musicali. Rappresenta-no il saper creare con competenza manufatti con funzionalità moderne attingendo al cono-sciuto dell’esperienza umana.

The FWS soundboards behave like musical instruments, as they are designed on a harmonic basis. Therefore, the sound

emission is clear and effective, far from the concept of the standard directional loudspea-kers with polyammide cones.

The vibrating membrane is the wood, carved to a thickness of a few millimetres, like the top of a violin or the soundboard of a piano. It generates the sound from its own grain, sprea-ding it into the surroundings. The FWS systems are thus suitable to be installed in any parts of a room, either where it best fits into the design and the furniture, or where it is best for the audio signal. The FWS models design objects that can be chosen and adapted to the aesthetics of the furniture, without causing any variations to the sound effect.

Some FWS models can only be hung on the wall, others are also provided with a table or floor stand.

These “instruments for the listening” can be defined as a great innovation with ancient ro-ots, peculiar to the violin making and to the technique of musical instruments.

Die schwingende Membrane ist das Tonholz, welches sehr dünn geschnitzt wird und wie ein Klavierresonanzboden oder Geigendecke her-gestellt wird, und somit durch die Schwingun-gen der Faser den Klang, mit einer surrounding Verbreitung, erzeugt.

Alle FWS Modelle sind auch Einrichtungsbestandteile und können je nach der Ästhetik der Räume ausgewählt und positioniert werden, ohne Begrenzung in der Klangqualität.

Einige Formen können nur an die Wand gehängt werden, andere können mit einem Ständer auf Möbel oder auf den Boden gestellt werden.

Scelto per accompagnare queste tavole armoniche nella loro funzione principale, è un apparecchio di alta qualità con funzioni estremamente semplici e precise. La parte valvolare, a vista nel comparto superiore, si affianca alla base Dock-station per iPod e Iphone e consente altri tre ingressi RCA sul pannello posteriore, selezionabili dalla grande manopola posta sul frontale. Il volume risponde alla manopola di destra, nonché dal telecomando in dotazione, che consente anche la regolazione dei bassi e controlla l’impiego dell’iPod e dei suoi menù di selezione.

It is a device of high quality used to drive the FWS soundboards in a simple and effective way. The valves are in sight at the top, and on the side there is a compatible docking-station for the iPod or iPhone. On the back panel, three additional audio inputs are available, which can be selected using a large knob on the front panel. The volume is adjusted using the knob on the right. The remote control can also be used to control the volume, basses, and to select the input source.

Es handelt sich um ein hochqualitatives Gerät zur Haupttätigkeit des FWS audio, seine Funktion ist sehr einfach und genau. Die Röhren sind sichtbar in der oberen Abteilung und stellen sich an die Seite des Dock-station für iPod und iPhone; drei andere Inputs sind in der hinteren Seite eingeordnet, die mit dem grossen Drehknopf auf der Vorderseite selektiert werden können. Der Tonstärkestellknopf ist rechts eingestellt, die Lautstärke kann auch mit der Fernsteuerung reguliert werden, welche auch Bässe, iPOd und Auswahlmenu regelt.

La fornitura comprende sempre il subwoofer attivo da 100 watt, che può essere scelto in tre diverse finiture (nero, ciliegio o mogano) per essere abbinato al sistema FWS o all’arredo dell’ambiente a cui è destinato. Il pannello di controllo sul retro è dotato di pulsante on-off, regolatore di banda e di volume.

The system includes a 100 Watt active subwoofer, available in three different colours (black-cherry-mahogany), that can be matched with the FWS model or the furniture in the room. An on/off switch, a volume control and knob to control the cut-off frequency are place on the back panel.

In dem System ist immer ein aktives Subwoofer 100 Watt inbegriffen, in drei Farben verfügbar (schwarz, kirschrot, Mahagoni), zum FWS Modell oder Hauseinrichtung passend. On/Off Knopf, Frequenzband- und Stärkedrehknopf sind an der hinteren Seite.
