INSTALLATION RECOMMENDATIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR

VETRO 8 COLLECTION

PRODUC T FEATURES

VETRO 8 mosaics are made by sheets of glass, thickness 8 mm, cut, colored, fired and then weaved on the net; mixed

with other materials like marble, stone, natural mother-of-pearl, etc.

Due to the artisanal technique and the peculiarity of this collection, differences in shades, as well slight scratches are

distinctive and appreciated features, typical of products.

LAYING (installation recommendation on page 268)

CUTTING: to cut an entire row of mosaics, simply use a sharp utility knife or scissors and cut the mesh. To cut a single

piece use an appropriate diamond biade cutter, bracing the mosaic securely, and adjusting the speed, by increasing or

decreasing the RPM to avoid breaking and chipping the mosaic.

INSTALLATION: spread the adhesive (on traditional** underlay we recommend KERAKOLL H40 NO LIMITS*)

on the surface using a 3.5 mm notched trowel. Piace the sheet to the surface, finished side facing you, pressing

down with a rubber spatula and making sure that the distance between sheets is equal like the individuai tiles, so that

all the joints are equal to each other. You can move closer or further apart single pieces or sheet of mosaic using your

small metal trowel. Remove any excess adhesive and allow the adhesive to dry and cure for 24 hours before procee­

ding with the grouting.

GROUTING: apply the grout (we recommend KERAKOLL FUGALITE BIO*) with a rubber grout float with vertical

and horizontal movements. Remove carefully the excess grout with a damp sponge by diagonally movements and

clean to remove excess grout from the mosaic stili present on the surface, act always diagonally without too much

pressure and hold the sponge flat arder not to remove the grout out from the joints. Allow the grout to dry according to

the manufacturer's instructions on the package and return to wipe off any excess with a damp sponge in clean water

several times. Excluding strictly the use of acids or tools and abrasive products. Any residuai halos, can be

removed with the use of specific cleaner (we recommend KERAKOLL FUGA-SOAP).

MAINTENANCE

For regular maintenance we recommend to use normai cleaning products.
