11. Warranty

The appliance is guaranteed for two years from the date of delivery,as shown by the date on the receipt/invoice, unless the purchaser can prove that delivery took place on a later date.In case of defects on the product existing prior to delivery, Bialetti guarantees the repair or replacement of same, at no charge to the purchaser, unless one of the two remedies is disproportionate to the other. The purchaser is responsible for reporting any conformity defects no later than two months from discovery of same.The warranty does not cover those parts found to be faulty as a result of negligence or careless use, for example:

• Damages caused by impacts, falls or scratches owing to the use of improper objects.• Breakdowns caused by scale or by failure to carry out scale removal cycles.• Failure to abide by the operating instructions for the appliance.• Incorrect installation or maintenance carried out by unauthorised persons.• Normal wear and tear. • Damage caused by modifi cations made to the inside of the appliance.• Damage caused through use of a voltage other than that stated in the use and

maintenance manual.• Damage from transport or circumstances that cannot be attributed to defects in the

material or workmanship of the appliance.• Damages arising from repairing carried out by unauthorized service centres.

The warranty also excludes all cases of improper use of the appliance or any instances of professional use.

Bialetti refuses to accept any liability for damage that may directly or indirectly be caused to people, property or pets as a result of failure to abide by all of the guidelines and instructions in this booklet concerning the installation, use and maintenance of the appliance.This warranty is without prejudice to contractual guarantees made to the retailer.

La guaina e la spina del cavo di alimentazione non devono evidenziare screpolature o rotture. Nel caso si verifi chi quanto sopra, non utilizzare l’apparecchio, staccare subito la spina dalla presa di corrente e portarlo presso un centro di assistenza tecnica autorizzato per le necessarie verifi che.

• Gli elementi dell’imballaggio (sacchetti in plastica, polistirolo espanso, chiodi, ecc.) non devono essere lasciati alla portata dei bambini in quanto potenziali fonti di pericolo.

• Sistemare l’apparecchio su di una superfi cie piana, regolare e stabile. Non posizionarlo l’apparecchio accanto o su ripiani caldi come caloriferi, piani cottura, fi amme e simili.

• Prima di collegare l’apparecchio accertarsi che i dati targa siano rispondenti a quelli della rete di distribuzione elettrica. La targa è situata sul fondo del corpo apparecchio.

• In caso di incompatibilità tra la presa e la spina dell’apparecchio fare sostituire la presa con altra di tipo adatto da personale professionalmente qualifi cato. Quest’ultimo, in par-ticolare, dovrà anche accertare che la sezione dei cavi della presa sia idonea alla potenza assorbita dall’apparecchio. In generale è sconsigliabile l’uso di adattatori, prese multiple e/o prolunghe. Qualora il loro uso si rendesse indispensabile è necessario utilizzare sola-mente adattatori semplici o multipli e prolunghe conformi alle vigenti norme di sicurezza, facendo però attenzione a non superare il limite di portata, in valore di corrente, marcato sull’adattatore semplice e sulle prolunghe, e quello di massima potenza marcato sull’a-dattatore multiplo.

• Non lasciare l’apparecchio inutilmente inserito. Staccare la spina dalla rete di alimenta-zione quando l’apparecchio non è utilizzato.

• Se si intende lasciare inattivo l’apparecchio per un periodo di tempo piuttosto lungo, svuotare il serbatoio dell’acqua.

RACCOMANDIAMO DI ALIMENTARE L’APPARECCHIO PER MEZZO DI UN INTERRUTTO-RE DIFFERENZIALE CON UNA CORRENTE D’INTERVENTO MASSIMA DI 30 mA.

L) The drawer has been removed but not emptied and the counting system is reset.

L) If the system allows so, remove the drawer and empty it. If the capsule is stuck, turn the coffee ma-ker off and then back on to run a new verifi cation cycle. Contact the nearest service centre if the coffee maker does not expel the capsule this way.

The coffee maker makes too much noise.

M) There is no water in the reservoir.

The coffee maker is beeping / the LED is blinking.

N) The door is not closed properly.

L’APPARECCHIO DOVRÀ ESSERE TASSATIVAMENTE COLLEGATO ALLA RETE ELETTRI-CA PER MEZZO DI UNA PRESA DI TERRA.EVITARE DI SCOLLEGARE L’APPARECCHIO TIRANDO IL CAVO DI ALIMENTAZIONE.

DURANTE IL FUNZIONAMENTO, LA PRESA DI CORRENTE DEVE ESSERE FACILMENTE ACCESSIBILE NEL CASO IN CUI FOSSE NECESSARIO SCOLLEGARE L’APPARECCHIO.

PRECAUZIONI PER LA VOSTRA SICUREZZA

• Non toccare l’apparecchio con mani bagnate o umide.• Non usare l’apparecchio a piedi nudi.• Non tirare il cavo di alimentazione o l’apparecchio stesso per staccare la spina dalla presa

di corrente.• Non accostare il cavo a bordi taglienti, non fi ssarlo o lasciarlo pendere.• Per evitare surriscaldamenti pericolosi, si raccomanda di svolgere per tutta la sua lun-

ghezza il cavo di alimentazione e di utilizzare l’apparecchio come consigliato nel paragra-fo “Avvertenze relative all’uso corretto dell’apparecchio”.

• Non ostruire le aperture o fessure di ventilazione o di smaltimento calore.• Prima di effettuare qualsiasi operazione di pulizia o di manutenzione, disinserire l’appa-

recchio dalla rete di alimentazione elettrica, o staccando la spina, o spegnendo l’inter-ruttore dell’impianto. In caso di guasto e/o di cattivo funzionamento dell’apparecchio, spegnerlo e non manometterlo. Per l’eventuale riparazione rivolgersi solamente ad un centro di assistenza tecnica autorizzato dal costruttore e richiedere l’utilizzo di parti e ricambi originali. Il mancato rispetto di quanto sopra può compromettere la sicurezza dell’apparecchio.

• Allorché si decida di non utilizzare più un apparecchio di questo tipo, si raccomanda di renderlo inoperante tagliandone il cavo di alimentazione dopo aver staccato la spina dalla presa di corrente. Si raccomanda, inoltre, di rendere innocue quelle parti dell’apparecchio suscettibili di costituire un pericolo, specialmente per i bambini che potrebbero servirsi dell’apparecchio fuori uso per i propri giochi.

• Non spostare l’apparecchio quando è in funzione.

AL PRIMO UTILIZZO, LA MACCHINA POTRÀ EMANARE ODORE DI BRUCIATO A CAUSA DEI MATERIALI DI ISOLAMENTO E DEGLI ELEMENTI RISCALDAN-TI; IL TUTTO È NORMALE.

• Assicurarsi che la spina sia scollegata prima di procedere con le operazioni di pulizia.• Non utilizzare detergenti abrasivi o solventi.• Non usare oggetti abrasivi.• Non lavare in lavastoviglie nessun componente della macchina, inclusi il cassetto porta

Beeps and LEDs

1. The coffee maker beeps in the following situations (Fig.11):

• when you touch the touch-sensitive button during the heating stage

• when you touch the touch-sensitive button when the capsule drawer is out of its housing

• when the capsule insertion door is not closed properly before dispensing a beverage

• when the used capsule drawer is full (5 capsules)

2. The touch-sensitive button LED lights up in the following situations: (Fig.12):

• open door: alternating red-green LED• heating: blinking red LED• start: steady green LED• closed unit: steady green LED• dispensing and open unit: blinking green

IT 5. Primo utilizzo del prodotto

• Svolgere il cavo di alimentazione (7).

• Rimuovere il serbatoio dell’acqua (5) dalla sua sede, sollevandolo verso l’alto tramite lo scasso po-sto sul fondo del serbatoio stesso (Fig.1); riempirlo con acqua fi no al livello massimo (indicato con MAX), quindi riposizionarlo nella sua sede.

• Verifi care che lo sportello di inserimen-to capsula (1) sia chiuso.

• Verifi care che il cassetto di recupero capsule (3) sia completamente inseri-to.

• Collegare la spina del cavo di alimenta-zione (7) alla rete elettrica (Fig.2).

• Posizionare l’interruttore generale (6), posto sul retro del prodotto, sulla posi-zione di ON .

La macchina si accenderà emettendo un segnale acustico ed avvierà la fase di inizializzazio-ne del gruppo di infusione: durante questa fase il gruppo di infusione verrà chiuso ed aperto automaticamente, per verifi care che il sistema non presenti anomalie e per espellere l’even-tuale capsula rimasta all’interno durante preventive erogazioni interrotte in modo inatteso (es. mancanza corrente, arresto volontario tramite l’interruttore generale). Durante questa fase il pulsante di erogazione lampeggerà di verde.Nel caso in cui lo sportello fosse rimasto aperto, il sistema non avvierà la fase di verifi ca, e il pulsante di erogazione lampeggia in verde e rosso alternativamente.Concluso il ciclo di verifi ca, la macchina inizia il riscaldamento del gruppo riscaldante ed il pulsante di erogazione pulsa in colore rosso: questa fase dura in media tra i 25 ed i 35 secondi.Raggiunta la temperatura di esercizio, il pulsante di erogazione si illumina in colore verde fi sso.La macchina è pronta ad erogare il primo caffè.

SE IL PULSANTE DI EROGAZIONE VIENE SCHIACCIATO DURANTE LA FASE DI RISCAL-DAMENTO, O MENTRE IL CASSETTO PORTA CAPSULE È FUORI DALLA SUA SEDE, LA MACCHINA EMETTE UN SEGNALE ACUSTICO MA NON PERMETTE DI EROGARE, NONO-STANTE LA LUCE VERDE.

SI CONSIGLIA DI RIPETERE QUESTO CICLO TUTTE LE VOLTE CHE IL PRODOTTO RESTA INUTILIZZATO PER LUNGHI PERIODI.

Blocked unit / capsule:

Should a capsule not be inserted properly, the coffee maker will try to fi x it into its housing automatically. If the procedure runs smoothly, dispensing will start automatically, otherwise, the capsule will get stuck and will have to be removed manually.In the event that the system cannot complete the closing and remains blocked, the touch-sensitive button will start blinking with the following sequence: red – red – green (Fig.10). It is therefore necessary to extract the capsule with a pair of tweezers or push it down into its housing, then close the insertion door, turn the machine off and then on again in order to run a new verifi cation cycle.Should neither of these options solve the problem, contact the nearest service centre.

Failure to eject the used capsuleIt may happen that the capsule remains into its housing despite the machine does not have any malfunctioning; this is due to pressure, that causes the capsule to get stuck to the gasket. Should this happen, repeat the dispensing cycle by closing the insertion door to start dispensing; press the touch-sensitive button to stop it and wait until the capsule has been ejected.If this operation is not successful, extract the capsule with a pair of tweezers.

DESCALING

ALWAYS FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED BY THE MANUFACTU-RER WHEN USING DESCALING PRO-DUCTS.

• Make sure no capsule has been in-serted and that the insertion door is completely closed.

• Fill the tank with water and add a dose of scale remover specifi c for coffee machines (easily available through retailers) (Fig.8).

• Schiacciare nuovamente il pulsante di erogazione per interrompere l’erogazione dopo aver erogato al massimo 30 ml: il pulsante di erogazione torna in luce verde fi ssa.

• Il gruppo di erogazione si apre automaticamente, rilasciando la capsula nel vano di raccolta (3).

• Non aprire mai lo sportello né rimuovere il cassetto porta capsule durante la fase di erogazione o di espulsione della capsula. Ciò comporta il bloccaggio della capsula all’interno del gruppo e l’impossibilità di rilasciarla nel cassettino, con la possibilità di danneggiare la macchina stessa.

IL RUMORE DURANTE L’EROGAZIONE È ASSOLUTAMENTE NORMALE ED È DOVUTO AL SISTEMA MECCANICO CHE CONTROLLA IL FUNZIONAMENTO DEL GRUPPO.

IL PULSANTE DI EROGAZIONE È SEN-SIBILE AI COMANDI SOLO NELLA PAR-TE CENTRALE (DOVE C’È LA TAZZINA) E NON SUI BORDI; EMETTE UN SEGNA-LE SONORO OGNI VOLTA CHE VIENE SFIORATO E RECEPISCE UN COMANDO (FIG.5).

AL PRIMO AVVIO DELLA MACCHINA, L’EROGAZIONE POTREBBE RICHIEDERE ALCUNI SECONDI IN PIÙ: QUESTO È NORMALE ED È DOVUTO ALLA NECESSITÀ DI RIEMPIRE IL CIRCUITO IDRAULICO, INIZIALMENTE VUOTO, CON L’ACQUA PROVENIENTE DAL SER-BATOIO. ANCHE UNA VIBRAZIONE ED UN RUMORE SUPERIORI AL SOLITO SONO DA CONSIDERARSI ASSOLUTAMENTE NELLA NORMA, IN QUANTO IL SISTEMA DEVE AV-VIARSI COMPLETAMENTE.

SE LO SPORTELLO DI INSERIMENTO DELLA CAPSULA NON VIENE CHIUSO, LA MACCHINA NON AVVIA L’EROGAZIONE E SEGNALA L’ANOMALIA ALL’UTENTE TRAMITE UN SEGNALE ACUSTICO E FACENDO LAMPEGGIARE IL PULSANTE DI EROGAZIONE IN VERDE E ROSSO ALTERNATIVAMENTE. UNA VOLTA RICHIUSO LO SPORTELLO, L’EROGAZIONE SI AVVIA IN AUTOMATICO.

IN CASO LO SPORTELLO DI INSERIMENTO VENISSE APERTO DURANTE L’EROGAZIO-NE, LA MACCHINA SI FERMA COMPLETAMENTE ED INDICA LO STATO DI ERRORE SUL PULSANTE DI EROGAZIONE, FACENDOLO LAMPEGGIARE IN VERDE E ROSSO ALTERNA-TIVAMENTE. LA MACCHINA RIPRENDE IL FUNZIONAMENTO NEL MOMENTO IN CUI LO SPORTELLO VIENE RICHIUSO.

IN CASO IN CUI IL CASSETTO DI RACCOLTA DELLE CAPSULE NON FOSSE COMPLETA-MENTE INSERITO, LA MACCHINA NON AVVIA L’EROGAZIONE; NEL MOMENTO IN CUI IL CASSETTO VIENE REINSERITO L’EROGAZIONE SI AVVIA IN AUTOMATICO.

SE IL CASSETTINO DI RACCOLTA DELLE CAPSULE È PIENO E SI INSERISCE UNA CAPSU-LA NELLO SPORTELLO, LA MACCHINA NON EROGA; È NECESSARIO SVUOTARE IL CAS-SETTINO E AVVIARE MANUALMENTE L’EROGAZIONE DOPO AVERLO REINSERITO.

IL TEMPO DI EROGAZIONE PER CAFFÈ E INFUSI È DECISO DALL’UTENTE: È TUTTAVIA PRESENTE UN CONTROLLO DI SICUREZZA CHE INTERROMPE L’EROGAZIONE ED APRE IL GRUPPO DOPO 100 SECONDI DI FUNZIONAMENTO, CHE EQUIVALGONO A 150 ML.

L’EROGAZIONE DI TÈ E INFUSI POTREBBE RISULTARE MENO OMOGENEA RISPETTO ALL’EROGAZIONE DEL CAFFÈ; CIÒ È DOVUTO AGLI INGREDIENTI NATURALMENTE RIC-CHI DI OLII ESSENZIALI, CHE DURANTE L’EROGAZIONE CREANO UNA LEGGERA SCHIU-MA. Emptying the used capsule drawer (3):

• This coffee maker is equipped with a counting system, which warns the user with a beep every 5 cups dispensed. The touch-sensitive button LED will blink red to remind you to empty the drawer.

• Remove the drawer to empty it, taking care to reinsert it after at least 3 seconds, when the coffee maker is ready (the touch-sensitive button is steady green).

• The coffee maker will continue to beep and the button LED will continue to blink red until the drawer is emptied.

• The counting system is reset every time the drawer is removed; therefore, it is important to empty it every time you remove it from its housing.

• The coffee maker beeps 3 seconds after removing the drawer from its housing. This occurs only if the coffee maker has dispensed at least one cup. It will not beep if the drawer is empty.

• Should you turn off the machine, the system will not reset capsules count; at re-start, it will go on counting.

FAILURE TO EMPTY THE DRAWER AND THE RESULTING OVERFILLING MAY CAUSE THE DISPENSING UNIT BLOCKAGE.

IT7. Modalità di risparmio energetico

Questo apparecchio è stato progettato in conformità alle direttive EC1275/2008 e 2009/125/EC che prevedono la necessità di adottare la modalità di risparmio energetico; il consumo energetico in questo stato è inferiore a 0,5W.La modalità di risparmio energetico viene avviata automaticamente dopo 10 minuti di inat-tività: in questo stato, il pulsante di erogazione pulsa molto lentamente in colore rosso.

Per riattivare la macchina dallo stand by, si può procedere in due modi:• Schiacciando il pulsante di erogazione: La macchina emette un segnale acustico e il pulsante comincia a pulsare con luce rossa

durante la fase di riscaldamento, fi nché la macchina è pronta per l’erogazione. A questo punto il pulsante si illumina di luce verde fi ssa ed è possibile procede con l’apertura dello sportello per una normale erogazione.

• Aprendo lo sportello per inserire la capsula: Alla chiusura dello sportello, il gruppo si porta in posizione, tuttavia la macchina non avvierà

l’erogazione fi nché la caldaia non sarà tornata in temperatura; durante questa fase il pulsante pulsa con luce rossa. Quando la macchina è pronta per l’erogazione, il pulsante si illumina di luce verde fi ssa e il sistema procederà in automatico con l’erogazione.

In seguito, il gruppo di erogazione effettuerà un ciclo di verifi ca durante il quale il pulsante di erogazione lampeggia con luce rossa, fi nché la macchina è pronta per l’erogazione e il pulsante si illumina di luce verde fi ssa.Nel caso in cui ci fosse una capsula inserita nell’alloggiamento, l’erogazione partirà in auto-matico, in caso contrario inserire la capsula e procedere normalmente.

IL TEMPO DI ATTESA DIPENDE DAL TEMPO IN CUI LA MACCHINA È RIMASTA INATTIVA, E PUÒ DURARE FINO A 30 SECONDI SE NON È STATA UTILIZZATA PER ALCUNE ORE.

SE DURANTE LA FASE DI STAND-BY IL CASSETTO PORTA CAPSULE VIENE ESTRATTO E SVUOTATO, IL CONTATORE NON VERRÀ AZZERATO: AL RIAVVIO DELLA MACCHINA RIPARTIRÀ IL CONTEGGIO DELLE CAPSULE ESPULSE DA DOVE SI ERA INTERROTTO (SE LA MACCHINA È ANDATA IN STAND-BY CON 3 CAPSULE USATE NEL CASSETTINO, LA CAPSULA ESPULSA SARÀ CONTEGGIATA COME LA QUARTA ANCHE SE NEL FRATTEMPO IL CASSETTINO È STATO SVUOTATO).

Svuotamento del cassetto di recupero capsule (3):

• La macchina è dotata di un sistema di conteggio erogazioni che avvisa l’utente ogni 5 erogazioni affi nché proceda a svuotare il cassetto. L’utente viene avvisato tramite un segnale acustico e il pulsante di erogazione che lampeggia con luce rossa.

• Estrarre il cassettino per svuotarlo (Fig.6), avendo cura di inserirlo nuovamente dopo almeno 3 secondi, quando la macchina torna in stato di ready (il pulsante di erogazione si illumina di luce fi ssa verde).

• La macchina continua a emettere il segnale sonoro e a lampeggiare di rosso fi nché il cassettino non viene svuotato.

• Ogni volta che il cassettino viene estratto, il contatore si azzera, di conseguenza è necessario svuotarlo ogniqualvolta viene estratto dalla sua sede.

• Quando il cassettino viene estratto dalla sua sede, la macchina emette un segnale sonoro dopo 3 secondi; questo si verifi ca solo se la macchina ha effettuato almeno un’erogazione; nel caso il cassettino fosse vuoto, non ci sarà alcun segnale sonoro.

• Qualora la macchina venisse spenta, il sistema manterrà in memoria il numero di erogazioni effettuate, e al successivo riavvio proseguirà il conteggio delle capsule.

IL MANCATO SVUOTAMENTO DEL CASSETTINO, E IL SUO CONSEGUENTE RIEMPIMENTO E C C E S S I V O , P O S S O N O PROVOCARE IL BLOCCO DEL GRUPPO DI EROGAZIONE.

7. Energy saving mode

This appliance has been developed in compliance with EC1275/2008 e 2009/125/EC di-rectives, which call for the energy saving mode; in stand-by mode, power consumption is below 0.5W.The coffee maker enters stand-by mode automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity. The touch-sensitive button LED will start blinking red very slowly.

To exit stand-by mode, proceed in one of the following two ways:• Touch the touch-sensitive button: The coffee maker warns the user with a beep and the button starts pulsing red during reheat

period, until the machine is ready to dispense. Only then the button will return steady green and it is possible to proceed with a new brewing.

• Open the door to insert a capsule: When you close the door, the system will move into position, however, the machine will not

start dispensing until the boiler is at the right temperature; during this stage, the touch-sensitive button pulses red. When the coffee maker is ready to dispense, the touch-sensitive button returns steady green and the system will automatically proceed with brewing.

The brewing group will then start a verifi cation cycle during which the touch-sensitive but-ton will blink red until the coffee maker is ready to dispense coffee. If a capsule is already inserted, brewing will start automatically, on the contrary insert a new capsule and proceed normally.

THE RESTART PERIOD DEPENDS ON HOW LONG THE MACHINE HAS BEEN IDLE, AND MIGHT TAKE UP TO 30 SECONDS IT IT HAS NOT BEEN USED FOR FEW HOURS.

THE COUNTING SYSTEM WILL NOT BE RESET IN THE EVENT THAT THE USED CAPSU-LE DRAWER IS REMOVED AND EMPTIED WHILE THE COFFEE MAKER IS IN STAND-BY MODE. UPON RESTARTING THE COFFEE MAKER, IT WILL START COUNTING FROM WHE-RE IT LEFT (IF THE COFFEE MAKER ENTERED STAND-BY MODE WITH 3 USED CAPSULES IN THE DRAWER, THE EXPELLED CAPSULE WILL BE COUNTED AS THE FOURTH, EVEN IF YOU HAVE EMPTIED THE DRAWER IN THE MEANTIME).

6. Dispensing coffee/tea/infusions

UPON FIRST START UP, IT MAY TAKE A FEW MORE SECONDS TO DISPENSE COFFEE. THIS IS BECAUSE THE HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT, WHICH IS INITIALLY EMPTY, NEEDS TO BE FILLED WITH THE WATER FROM THE RESERVOIR. IT IS NORMAL FOR THE COFFEE MAKER TO VIBRATE MORE AND MAKE MORE NOISE, AS THE SYSTEM NEEDS TO START UP COMPLETELY.

IN THE EVENT THAT THE CAPSULE INSERTION DOOR IS NOT CLOSED PROPERLY, THE COFFEE MAKER WILL NOT DISPENSE ANY COFFEE AND WILL REPORT THE ANOMALY WITH A BEEP. THE TOUCH-SENSITIVE BUTTON LED WILL START BLINKING RED AND GREEN ALTERNATELY. ONCE YOU CLOSE THE DOOR, COFFEE STARTS TO BE DISPENSED AUTOMATICALLY.

IN THE EVENT THAT CAPSULE INSERTION DOOR IS OPENED WHILE DISPENSING COF-FEE, THE COFFEE MAKER WILL STOP AND THE TOUCH-SENSITIVE BUTTON LED WILL START BLINKING RED AND GREEN ALTERNATELY TO INDICATE THE ERROR. THE COFFEE WILL START OPERATING AGAIN AS SOON AS YOU CLOSE THE DOOR.

IN THE EVENT THAT THE USED CAPSULE DRAWER IS NOT INSERTED PROPERLY, THE COFFEE MAKER WILL NOT DISPENSE ANY COFFEE. IT WILL DO SO AUTOMATICALLY AS SOON AS YOU INSERT THE DRAWER.

THE COFFEE MAKER WILL NOT DISPENSE ANY COFFEE IN THE EVENT THAT YOU INSERT A CAPSULE THROUGH THE DOOR WHEN THE USED CAPSULE DRAWER IS FULL. EMPTY THE DRAWER AND START DISPENSING MANUALLY AFTER ITS REINSERTION.

IT IS THE USER WHO DECIDES THE COFFEE/INFUSION DISPENSING TIME. HOWEVER, THERE IS A SAFETY CONTROL THAT STOPS DISPENSING AND OPENS THE UNIT AFTER 100 SECONDS OF OPERATION, CORRESPONDING TO 150 ML.

TEA AND INFUSIONS BREWING MIGHT BE LESS SMOOTH THAN COFFEE BREWING, BE-CAUSE THEY ARE MADE OF INGREDIENTS NATURALLY RICH IN ESSENTIAL OILS WHICH PRODUCE A LIGHT FROTH. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NORMAL, AND DOES NOT SPOIL IN ANY WAY THE PRODUCT QUALITY.

LA SOLUZIONE DECALCIFICANTE PUÒ ESSERE NOCIVA. EVITARE IL CONTAT-TO CON GLI OCCHI, LA PELLE E ALTRE SUPERFICI DELICATE. PER EVITARE DI DANNEGGIARE LA MACCHINA, NON UTILIZZARE PRODOTTI DIVERSI DAL DECALCIFICANTE (AD ESEMPIO ACETO).

PER L’USO DEI PRODOTTI DECALCI-FICANTI ATTENERSI SEMPRE ALLE INDICAZIONI RIPORTATE SULLA CONFEZIONE E FORNITE DALLA CASA PRODUTTRICE.

• Verifi care che non sia inserita nessuna capsula e che lo sportello sia comple-tamente chiuso.

• Riempire il serbatoio dell’acqua ed immergervi una dose di soluzione decalcifi cante liquida, specifi ca per macchine da caffè (facilmente reperi-bile sul mercato) (Fig.8).

coffee (be careful, the dispensing coffee quantity shall be 30ml only). During this stage the touch-sensitive button LED will blink green.

• Touch the touch-sensitive button again to stop dispensing after dispensing 30ml coffee. The touch-sensitive button LED will return steady green.

• The dispensing unit opens automatically releasing the capsule in the drawer (3). • Do not open the door or remove the capsule drawer while coffee maker is dispensing

coffee or expelling the capsule. This would get the capsule stuck inside the unit and could damage the coffee maker.

NOISE WHILE DISPENSING IS ABSOLUTELY NORMAL, AND IT IS DUE TO THE MECHA-NICAL SYSTEM CONTROLLING THE DISPENSING UNIT FUNCTIONING.

THE TOUCH-SENSITIVE BUTTON IS SENSITIVE TO COMMANDS ONLY IN ITS CENTRAL PART (WHERE THE CUP IS DRAWN). IT BEEPS EVERY TIME IT IS TOUCHED AND RECEIVES A COM-MAND (FIG.5).

5. Using the appliance for the fi rst time

• Unwind the power cord (7).• Hold the water reservoir (5) from

the groove at the bottom and lift it to remove it from its housing; top it up with water (up to MAX) and place it back in its housing.

• Make sure that the capsule insertion door (1) is closed.

• Make sure that the used capsule drawer (3) is inserted properly.

• Connect the power cord (7) to the elec-tric mains (Fig.2).

• Set the on/off switch (6), located on the rear of the product, to ON.

The coffee maker will turn on emitting a beep and initialise the brew unit. During this stage, the brew unit is closed and opened automatically to ensure the absence of anomalies and expel any capsules inside from previous dispensing interrupted unexpectedly (e.g. power shortage, or turning the machine off pressing the on/off power). During this stage, the touch-sensitive button LED will turn red.In the event that the door is not closed properly, the system will not run the verifi cation cycle and the touch-sensitive button LED will blink red and green, alternately.Upon completing the verifi cation cycle, the coffee maker will start warming up the heating unit and the touch-sensitive button LED will blink red. This stage lasts between 25 and 35 seconds.Upon reaching the operating temperature, the touch-sensitive button LED will turn steady green.The coffee maker is ready to dispense your fi rst coffee.

IF YOU TOUCH THE TOUCH-SENSITIVE BUTTON DURING THE HEATING STAGE OR WHEN THE CAPSULE DRAWER IS OUT OF ITS HOUSING, THE COFFEE MAKER WILL EMIT A BEEP BUT WILL NOT DISPENSE ANY COFFEE, IN SPITE OF THE GREEN LIGHT.

REPEAT THIS CYCLE EVERY TIME THAT THE APPLIANCE HAS BEEN LEFT UNUSED FOR A LONG PERIOD.

IT9. Risoluzione dei problemi

Gruppo bloccato / capsula incastrata:

Nel caso in cui la capsula non fosse stata inserita correttamente, il gruppo di erogazione tenterà in automatico di sistemarla nell’alloggiamento. Se la procedura riesce, l’erogazione verrà avviata in automatico.In caso contrario la capsula resterà bloccata e all’apertura dello sportello dovrà essere estratta manualmente.Se il gruppo rimane comunque bloccato perché non riesce a completare la chiusura, il pulsante di erogazione lampeggia con luce rosso – rosso – verde (Fig. 10).È necessario estrarre la capsula con una pinza o spingerla nell’alloggiamento, poi chiudere lo sportello per far ripartire la macchina, altrimenti si consiglia di spegnere e riaccendere la macchina per resettare il sistema.Qualora nessuna di queste azioni risolvesse il problema, contattare il centro assistenza più vicino.

Mancata espulsione della capsula:

Può capitare che la capsula rimanga all’interno del gruppo di erogazione nonostante la macchina non presenti anomalie; ciò è dovuto alla pressione che provoca l’adesione della capsula alla guarnizione. Se tale eventualità dovesse presentarsi, ripetere il ciclo di erogazione richiudendo lo sportello di inserimento; schiacciare il pulsante per bloccare l’erogazione e attendere fi no all’avvenuta espulsione della capsula.Se neanche con il secondo ciclo la capsula viene espulsa, provvedere ad estrarla con l’aiuto di una pinza.

Avvertimenti sonori e luminosi:

1. La macchina emette dei segnali sonori nelle seguenti situazioni (Fig.11):

• se il pulsante di erogazione viene sfi orato durante la fase di riscaldamento

• se il pulsante di erogazione viene sfi orato mentre il cassetto porta capsule è fuori dalla sua sede

• se lo sportello di inserimento non viene chiuso prima di iniziare l’erogazione

• quando il cassettino porta capsule raggiunge la capienza massima (5 capsule)

2. Il pulsante di erogazione emette segnali luminosi nelle seguenti situazioni e relative modalità (Fig.12):

• sportello aperto: alternanza led rosso – verde

• riscaldamento: pulsazione rosso• start: verde fi sso• chiusura gruppo: verde fi sso• erogazione e apertura gruppo: pulsazione

I) Preriscaldare la tazzina, erogando acqua calda o utilizzando uno scaldataz-zine.

J) Effettuare un ciclo di de-calcifi cazione.

Il caffè viene erogato lentamente.

K) La velocità di erogazione dipende dalla varietà di caffè utilizzata.

K) Provare con una nuova capsula o, se necessario, effettuare un ciclo di decal-cifi cazione.

Se il problema persiste, contattare il centro assi-stenza più vicino.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

• Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands.• Do not use the appliance with bare feet.• Do not pull on the electrical cord or the appliance to pull the plug out of the mains

outlet.• Do not pull the cord over sharp edges, clamp it or allow it to hang down.• To avoid dangerous overheating, it is recommended that you unwind the electrical cord to

its entire length and that you use the appliance as recommended in “Warnings regarding the correct use of the appliance”.

the mains outlet by removing the plug from the socket or by switching off the electrical installation.

• If the appliance breaks down or functions improperly, shut it off and do not tamper with it. Repairs must only be carried out by an after-sales center authorized by the manufac-turer. Always insist of genuine spare parts. Non-compliance with what has been stated above could compromise the safety of the appliance.

• If you decide not to use the appliance of this type anymore, it is recommended that you make it inoperable by cutting off the mains cord after removing the plug from the mains outlet. You should also render harmless those parts of the appliance that could be dan-gerous, especially for children who might use an abandoned appliance as a toy.

• This appliance has been designed for indoor and non-extreme temperature conditions use only; do not leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric conditions (rain, sun, etc.).

• The manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the warranty will not apply for any com-mercial use, inappropriate handling or use of the appliance, any damage resulting from use for other purposes, faulty operations, non-professionals’ repair or failure to comply with the instructions.

• After removing the packaging, and before using the appliance, make sure the appliance and all the accessories are working well. Likewise, the electrical plug and sheath should not be cracked or broken. If the conditions described above are observed, immediately unplug the appliance from mains outlet and take it to an authorized After-Sales Service Centre for necessary checking.

• The packing materials (plastic bags, expanded polystyrene, nails, etc) should be kept away from children since they are potential sources of danger.

• Set the appliance on a fl at, even, and stable surface; never place the appliance on or be-side hot surfaces such as radiators, stoves, ovens, gas burners, open fl ame or similar.

• Before connecting the appliance, make sure the line voltage is correct. The tag is located on the bottom of the body of the appliance.

• If the plug does not fi t into the wall outlet, have the wall outlet replaced with another type by a qualifi ed electrician, who must also check that the cord is suitable for the power absorbed by the appliance. In general, it is not advisable to use an adaptor, multiple so-cket or an extension cord. If they are necessary, use only simple or multiple adaptors and extension cords that conform to safety regulations, being careful not to exceed the load limits indicated on the adaptor and the extension cord, or the maximum power indicated on the multiple adaptor.

• Do not leave the appliance connected when not in use. Remove the plug from the mains outlet when the appliance is not used.

• If the appliance will be not be used for an extended time period, empty the water tank.

La macchina emette un rumore eccessivo.
