Viaggiando indietro nel tempo, ci tuffia-mo nel Medio Evo per assistere allavven-tura di un Cavaliere il quale, nel suo lun-go cammino, si trova ad affrontare nume-

rose prove: dalla solenne cerimonia diiniziazione, al torneo di corte, in cui eglisi batte con lealt e coraggio per lamoredi una bellissima dama; dai furiosi com-battimenti con feroci saraceni e sanguina-ri briganti, agli incantesimi sortiti da ma-lefiche streghe e sibille, alle impari lottecon i mostri di fumo e di fuoco (rappre-sentanti il potere del papato e dell'impe-ro), fino allultimo ammaliamento: il ma-trimonio. Alla fine, il Cavaliere si ribellaal suo passato fatto di azione e di sangue:smessa la luccicante corazza e spogliatosidelle armi, in ginocchio davanti ad unacroce fiammeggiante, si vota ad una scel-ta ascetico-mistica di preghiera.

in time, to the grandeur of the Middle Ages,we go on an epic adventure with one Wan-dering Knight. We see his courage and loyal-ty as he faces a solemn initiation ceremony,a Court tournament where he fights for thelove of an enchanting Damsel, his wild bat-tles against fierce Saracens, bloody banditsand harmful spells of evil witches. He strug-gles against the Smog and the Fire Monster (representing the power of the Pope and theEmperor), and then he comes to the last en-chantment of all, the wedding. Finally, we feel the intensity of internal conflict as herebels against his past - a life filled withstruggles and spattered with blood. He castsoff his bright breast plate and his weapons,kneels in front of a burning cross, and dedi-cates to the mysticism of prayer.Technical note Performing AreaThe performing area (square, road, field) mustbe free from traffic or other obstructions.
