“Se una falegnameria “d’arte” viene considerata un laboratorio di idee, il legno visto come un materiale innovativo e di design, e le antiche tecniche di lavorazione una risorsa consolidata, significa utilizzare le proprie caratteristiche storiche come un punto di forza, crederci veramente, desiderare un futuro nuovo”. I fratelli Marchetti iniziano con queste parole il loro racconto, su come hanno scelto di portare avanti la loro storica azienda, fondata dai genitori nel 1968 e al cui interno coesistono storia, ricerca innovativa, romanticismo e design. In un territorio, il Veneto, famoso per la sua capacità artigianale nel settore del mobile, il Mobilificio d’Arte Marchetti si fa onore con la sua eccellenza, affidando alla sorella maggiore, Giordana, la parte creativa e di ricerca, restituendo ai prodotti un nuovo concetto di romanticismo che fa leva sul fascino della materia prima e creando un feeling originale, elegante e sobrio. L’organizzazione aziendale viene affidata alla sorella più piccola, Federica, perché i giovani hanno sempre una visione innovativa ed entusiasta nel quotidiano senza schemi precostituiti, senza preconcetti. Grazie al suo occhio attento, il componente maschile della famiglia, Maurizio, si occupa invece dell’approvvigionamento, della scelta e della verifica qualitativa dei materiali, concetto cardine per Marchetti perché dalla qualità si parte per arrivare all’eccellenza. È sempre Maurizio che aiuta Giordana nei progetti e che si occupa di seguire la produzione. La famiglia Marchetti ha però il suo asso nella manica nella mamma Franca, che con la sua esperienza unisce il passato al presente, indirizzando e rafforzando le idee dei tre giovani figli che sono scesi in campo per unire linee classiche e di design con l’artigianalità di una grande azienda.

“If an artistic carpentry shop is considered to be a laboratory of ideas, wood seen as an innovative material for design, ancient techniques and handcraft as an affirmed resource- this means using one’s tradition and history as strengths, really believing in one’s mission, and a desire to create a new future”. The Marchetti brothers begin their story with these words on how they chose to continue their historic company, which was founded by their parents in 1968 and within which coexist history, innovative research, romance, and design. In a region like Veneto which is famous for its craftsmanship in the furniture industry, the Mobilificio d’arte Marchetti is honoured with its excellence; today entrusting to their older sister, Giordana, the creative and research roles, giving the products a new concept of romance that relies on the charm of the raw material and creating a look that is original, elegant and clean. The organization is entrusted to the younger sister, Federica, because young people always have a new vision and enthusiasm in everyday life without preconceived ideas, without preconceptions. Thanks to his keen eye, the male component of the family, Maurizio, deals with supply, choice and quality verification of materials, all key concepts for Marchetti company because it is from quality that you start to achieve excellence. It is always Maurizio that helps Giordana on projects and who follows the production. The family Marchetti has it’s ace in the hole with Franca, the mother, who with her experience unites past and present, guiding and strengthening the ideas of three young children who have been working to combine classic and design lines with craftsmanship of an historic company.

Da sempre amo usare fogli e matita, non ne ho una preferita, ne compro sempre di nuove, a volte colorate e bizzarre, a volte semplici, scolastiche. Lo faccio perché mi fa ritornare bambina, quando disegnavo spontaneamente, in libertà. Anche oggi mi collego al mio mondo, racconto quello che mi piace e mi colpisce, lascio uscire semplicemente le mie emozioni. Tutto avviene nel quotidiano, come in un diario, e quando sento il momento giusto realizzo una nuova linea, consulto i miei schizzi, li metto insieme, raccolgo le idee. Per me disegnare e scrivere sono un po’ la stessa cosa, arrivano dallo stesso posto dentro di me, i miei mobili sono piccoli racconti di me stessa, a volte più rigorosi, a volte più frivoli e romantici. Ci sono io, con il mio vissuto e la mia passione, e quando sento che arriva qualcosa di buono corro in laboratorio, fermo l’immagine non solo nei fogli ma anche in un prototipo su cui lavorare, sperimentare, trovare la chiave giusta. Amo la frenesia che mi prende quando voglio trovare la forma corretta, la proporzione che avevo in testa, il dettaglio nascosto, un’espressione di energia e gioia.

All along I have loved to use papers and pencil, I don’t have a favorite one, I always buy new ones, sometimes colorful and bizarre, sometimes simple, scholastic. I do it because it brings me back to childhood, when I drew spontaneously, free.Even today I connect to my world, I say what I like and what strikes me, just leave out my emotions. Everything happens in everyday life, as in a diary, and when I feel the time is right I realize a new line, I consult my sketches; I put them together and gather ideas.For me drawing and writing are a bit the same thing, they come from the same place inside of me, my furniture pieces are small stories of myself, sometimes more rigorous, sometimes more frivolous and romantic. There I am, with my experience and my passion, and when I feel that something good comes out I run to the workshop, I fix the image not only on paper but also in a prototype on which to work, experiment, find the right key.I love the frenzy that I feel when I find the right form, the proportion that I have in my head, the hidden detail, an expression of energy and joy.

Bench “Firenze” NM 305 at the bottom of the bed, length 130 cm, depth 43 cm, height 45 cm. In fabric CECILIA’ colour 12 and structure in Burro ANTICO finish. The structure is in solid beech. The seat is in expanded polyurethane supported by nylon belts and jute canvas. The fabric of the external covering is 100% linen, weight 1200 gr/mtl. It is not possible to take the cover of the seat completely off.

La struttura è in acciaio, interamente stampata in poliuretano schiumato a freddo, ricoperta con fibra di poliestere accoppiata a vellutino. I piedini sono in legno di faggio. I pomoli DECORI in legno sono realizzati in piccoli lotti ed è possibile personalizzare la parte in legno colorandoli in tutte le nostre patine. Sono torniti in legno di faggio e impreziositi da soggetti realizzati in metallo cromato e “Swarovski”. Il pomolo qui sopra è il modello D 27 “Luna”, diametro 8 cm. Nel riassuntivo potrete trovarne una vasta gamma.

The wooden handles of DECORI collection are realized in small batches and it is possible to customize the wooden part by choosing among our finishes. They are turned in beech wood and embellished by subjects realized in chromed steel and “Swarovski”. The handle here above is model D 27 “Luna”, diameter 8 cm. In the summary you can find a big choice of them.

La seduta è in poliuretano espanso sostenuto da cinghie in nylon e sacco in juta. Il tessuto del rivestimento esterno è 100% lino, peso 1200 gr/mtl. La base è in legno di latifoglia. Questa panca non è sfoderabile, è possibile applicare il rivestimento in ecopelle allo stesso prezzo del tessuto.

Bench “Forte dei Marmi” NM 310, length 102 cm, depth 34 cm, height 45 cm. In fabric CECILIA’ colour 15 and structure in GRECALE magnolia sfumato cenere finish. The seat is in expanded polyurethane supported by nylon belts and jute canvas. The fabric of the external covering is 100% linen, weight 1200 gr/mtl. The base is in broad-leaf wood. It is not possible to take the cover of the seat completely off. It is possible to cover this bench also in “ecopelle” at the same price of the fabric.

I pomoli DECORI in legno sono realizzati in piccoli lotti ed è possibile personalizzare la parte in legno colorandoli in tutte le nostre patine. Sono torniti in legno di faggio e impreziositi da soggetti realizzati in metallo cromato e “Swarovski”. Il pomolo scontornato è il modello D 29 “Nebulosa”. The wooden handles of DECORI collection are realized in small batches and it is possible to customize the wooden part by choosing among our finishes. They are turned in beech wood and embellished by subjects realized in chromed steel and “Swarovski”. The handle without background is the D 29 “Nebulosa” handle. Il pomolo DECORI D 127 “Pietra” è ricavato da un pezzo di marmo di Carrara, ogni pezzo è unico, vengono lavorati e sabbiati rendendoli irripetibili. Il colletto in legno tornito è possibile personalizzarlo colorandolo in tutte le nostre patine per abbinarlo al mobile. I pomoli D 128 “Cuore blu” e D 129 “Fiore blu” sono in maiolica con smalto craquelè, realizzati a mano e volutamente di forma e dimensione irregolare dettata da una gestualità dell’artigiano che in questo progetto vuole esaltare l’unicità del pezzo. The DECORI D 127 “Pietra” handle is obtained from a Carrara marble piece, each piece is unique, the handles are worked and sandblasted one by one so they are one different from the other. The wooden supporting part of the handle is turned and it is available in all our finishes to coordinate with the piece of furniture. The D 128 “Cuore blu” handle and the D 129 “Fiore blu” handle are in majolica with craquelè varnish, realized by hand-work and intentionally different in shapes and dimensions thanks to the hand of the craftsman who in this project wants to put the uniqueness of the handle in the forefront. PATINA MAESTRALEIl look della patina MAESTRALE prevede la presenza di differenze di tonalità nello stesso mobile o di effetti di venatura leggera e/o marcata in quanto esalta il legno sottostante. Per ottenere questo particolare effetto, il legno viene corroso con varie tecniche sino a tirane fuori la “costa” dura della venatura e quindi al tatto il mobile è rugoso. Il tocco finale è piacevolmente soffice in quanto ad uno strato leggero di vernice matt, il mobile viene rifinito con cera d’api. La trasparenza del colore e la marcatura della venatura del legno sottostante non permette di poter mescolare mobili con essenze diverse senza notarne la differenza. Queste sono peculiari caratteristiche della patina MAESTRALE.

MAESTRALE FINISHThe Maestrale finish has different timber tones within the one piece of furniture. It may also have variations in grain and antiquing to highlight the natural characteristics of the timber. To obtain this particular effect the wood is eroded to the core using various techniques so the piece has a fine corrugated texture. It is then coated with a light layer of matt varnish and finally with bees wax, resulting in a pleasant, soft finish. The transparency of the finish and the variation in the grain of the wood means the difference in the individual pieces, when combined, will not go unnoticed. These are the distinctive features of Maestrale wood finish.
