Nel 1976 nasce PSM, falegnameria artigiana con chiara vocazione alla crescita e,

naturalmente, alla qualità, quella vera: un complesso di scelte, materia, cultura e

abilità, che diviene prodotto. Oggi, Della falegnameria è rimasta l’anima artigiana, la

passione, la cura per i dettagli, il resto è innovazione.

Perché la serietà è alla base del nostro lavoro, da sempre. E accompagna ogni pro-

dotto PSM dall’idea fino alla vendita e al post-vendita, senza lasciare nulla al caso.

Selezioniamo le migliori materie prime, affidiamo i progetti a designer che, sulle se-

die e il mobile, hanno molto da dire, anticipando le tendenze e superando le attese.

Seguiamo ogni passaggio della lavorazione del legno e del progetto con attenzione

puntigliosa, come si faceva una volta, e come si fa ancora, con strumenti diversi,

tecnologicamente avanzati, ma con la stessa passione e la stessa maestria. Un

valore che le nostre sedie portano dentro e che viene arricchito da delle prestigiose

collaborazioni (Alias, Bulgari, Gebrueder Thonet Vienna, Mathias, Natuzzi, Poltrona

Frau, Roche Bobois). Questo ci è valso negli ultimi anni numerosi riconoscimenti e

il convincimento che, a proposito di sedute, vi sia davvero ancora molto da dire. E

da fare.

In 1976 the maiolino’s founded psm on the belief that furniture should be inspired

by the very material it is to be crafted from. using traditional methods psm began its

journey to enhance the natural beauty of timber and metal by creating pieces that

combine culture and form whilst remaining true to its origin. in 2006 psm continues

this tradition. each piece of furniture is not only innovative by design but still holds

within in the spirit, passion and detail that can only be achieved by a true artisan.

Our work is serious work, and it has been so ever since the beginning, for each

and every PSM handcraft. From the very first idea to sales and after-sales service,

nothing is handled carelessly. Our rough materials are all first-choice materials, our

designers are well beyond trends as far as chairs and furniture are concerned, and

they can out do expectations. Every single step of the wood-processing and sha-

ping cycle is carefully studied and monitored; we use the same care that we had at

the beginning, with the privilege of new technologies. Our passion and our mastery

never change. And that’s a value that our chairs preserve, a value enriched by pre-

stigious cooperations with famous companies as (Alias, Bulgari, Gebrueder Thonet

Vienna, Mathias, Natuzzi, Poltrona Frau, Roche Bobois). That is the reason why

we’ve been awarded several recognitions over the past few years, and we believe

that, when talking about chairs, a lot more can be said-and done.

Daniel Rode, nato in Francia nel 1967, si diploma all’Ecole Boulle in Architettura d’Interni e Design e debutta nel settore della moda, disegnando articoli di valigeria

e accessori in Cina e a Hong Kong. Nel 1992 apre la sua agenzia di design a Parigi e pone la sua creatività al servizio dell’industria del mobile.Nel 1999 decide di

trasferirsi in Italia, dove fonda la società Rode Design srl con l’intento di porsi al centro del percorso creativo. Progetta oggetti funzionali e belli, di impronta decisa-

mente ottimista. Le sue creazioni esprimono il paradossale connubio di fermo realismo e leggerezza onirica. Stranamente, gli oggetti di Daniel Rode non possono

fare a meno, al di là della loro logica intrinseca, di essere sognanti. Attento a tutto ciò che è allo stato di genesi, Daniel Rode si muove verso un linguaggio intuitivo

e puro. Attualmente, collabora con molti noti marchi. Il denominatore comune delle sue creazioni è l’attenzione per il corpo umano: prodotti sempre ergonomici che

lui stesso plasma, realizzati in modo non convenzionale con l’impiego di materie duttili. Un’attenta ricerca, la sua, premiata da importanti riconoscimenti internazio-

nali: 1996. Menzione speciale al concorso “YOUNG & DESIGN”, che ogni anno premia giovani progettisti sotto i quarant’anni in occasione del Salone del Mobile di

Milano. 1997. Menzione speciale al concorso “YOUNG & DESIGN” per tavolo con struttura in acciaio e piano in legno. 2000. Secondo premio al Salone del Mobile

di Montreal per il “MIGLIORE PROGETTO DELL’ ANNO”. 2002. Vincitore del Premio “TOP TEN” al Salone Internazionale della Sedia Promosedia. Sedia “544” in

multistrato e schienale in metacrilato. Prodotta da PSM. 2004. Vincitore del “PREMIO DELLA SEDIA DELL’ANNO” al Salone Internazionale della Sedia Promosedia.

Daniel Rode, born in France in 1967, qualifies as Interior Architect and Designer with Ecole Boulle and starts off in the fashion sector as a designer of leather

goods and accessories, in China and Hong Kong. In 1992, he starts his own designer’s company in Paris to work with the furniture industry. In 1999, he decides to

move to Italy and establish Rode Design srl, with the aim of settling down at the heart of the creative process. He designs functional and beautiful objects, whose

spirit is absolutely optimistic. His creations embody a paradoxical marriage of sturdy realism and dreamlike lightness. Oddly enough, Daniel Rode’s objects can’t help

being dreamy, beyond their own inner logic. A careful observer of all things being in the phase of genesis, Daniel Rode moves towards an intuitive pure language. He

currently works with several famous brands. The common denominator of all his creations is the human body: he shapes ergonomic products with non conventional

methods and supple materials. His careful research has been awarded important international prizes. 1996. Special mention award at the “YOUNG & DESIGN”

competition, where young designers under 40 years of age are awarded each year at the Furniture Exhibition in Milan. 1997. Special mention award at the “YOUNG

& DESIGN” competition for table with a steel frame and wooden top. 2000.Second prize at the Montreal Furniture Show as “BEST DESIGN OF THE YEAR”. 2002.

Fabio Di Bartolomei è nato a Udine, città nella quale tuttora vive. Nel 1979 fonda il suo studio con sede a Udine ed in seguito instaura collaborazioni inter-

nazionali che portano alla creazione degli uffici collegati di New York (USA), Brendale Brisbane Qld (AU) e Varsavia (PL). Si occupa di Industrial Design, progetti

grafici e allestimento di mostre, progettazione di edifici e arredamenti di interni. Mostre personali di Design, a lui dedicate, sono state allestite sia in Italia sia

all’estero. Alcune realizzazioni di suoi progetti, sono state selezionate ed esposte in musei tra i quali: “The Museum of Modern Art” il MOMA di New e perma-

nentemente al “The Cornig Museum of Glass” di Cornig-NY (USA). Nel 1996 gli è stato conferito il premio “Marcello D’Olivo” per il design. Nel 1997 ha vinto il

premio TOP TEN del Salone Internazionale della Sedia di Udine-Italy con il modello “Shuttle” e nel 1999 con il modello “My Chair” tutti e due disegnati per la ditta

P.S.M. Nel 2002 la sua opera è stata inserira nel “The Museum of Modern Art Design Enciclopedia” edita dal MoMa di New York.

Fabio Di Bartolomei was born in Udine, the town in which he still lives. In 1979 Di Bartolomei set up his own studio in Udine and later established international

contacts which led to the opening of satellite offices in New York-USA, Warsaw-PL and in Brisbane Brendale QLD-AU. Di Bartolomei is involved in Industrial Design,

graphic projects, organisation of exhibitions, the planning of buildings, and interior design, both public and private. His personal Design exhibitions have been set

up in Italy as well as abroad. Some of his works have also been selected and exhibited in museums like “The Museum of Modern Art” (MOMA) and in “The Cornig

Museum of Glass”, Cornig-NY (USA). In 1996 he was awarded the “Marcello D’Olivo” prize for design. In 1997 Di Bartolomei won the TOP TEN award at the Inter-

national Chair Exhibition in Udine, Italy, with his “Shuttle” model and in 1999 with the model “My chair”, both designed for P.S.M. In addition to this company. In 2002

his biografy and work has been included in “The Museum of Modern Art Design Enciclopedia” published by MoMa of New York.
