54 Profile made Ottobre 2007 Lo studio Peia Associati nasce nel 1995 a Milano, per volontà di Giampiero Peia, laureato alla facoltà di architettura della stessa città e collaboratore e partner del rinomato studio di Ignazio Gardella dal 1987 al 1994. Da questa importante esperienza ha ereditato un approccio creativo a tutto campo, capace di affrontare le diverse dimensioni del progetto, dall’architettura all’industrial design, con realizzazioni che spaziano dal privato al pubblico, dal restauro alla costruzione ex novo, dall’allestimento alla partecipazione a concorsi, lavori accomunati da una continua ricerca di soluzioni sempre nuove. Nel 1998, 1999 e 2000 è stato inserito dalla rivista Casabella tra i 40 architetti under 50 più interessanti del panorama italiano. Ha realizzato le sedi delle aziende FilmMaster, Inferentia, Bain&Cuneo, il Concept Store Tad a Roma, i nuovi stabilimenti industriali Getrag e Cisal, un cimitero ad Ascoli Piceno, l’ampliamento del Comune di San Donato Milanese, il restauro e riconversione in centro culturale pubblico del complesso monumentale di Rocca Brivio, un centro sportivo a Salsomaggiore con palazzetto dello sport. Nel campo degli allestimenti si ricordano le realizzazioni per gli stand Virgilio, Fineco, Telecom, lo store Roberto Baggio Sport per Chrysler-Jeep oltre che per Tad e Cisal, aziende per cui disegna anche prodotti, oltre all’allestimento della mostra The Andy Warhol Show alla Triennale di Milano. The studio Peia Associati was founded in Milan in 1995 by Giampiero Peia, a graduate of the faculty of architecture of the University of Milan as well as a collaborator and partner of the renowned studio of Ignazio Gardella from 1987 to 1994. From this important experience he inherited a comprehensive creative approach and the skills necessary to tackle the different dimensions of a project, ranging from architecture to industrial design, private and public sectors projects, as well as renovations and new constructions, preparation of and participation in tenders, all work which shares a common feature - the continual search for new solutions. In 1998, 1999 and 2000 he appeared in the Casabella magazine judged to be one of the 40 most interesting architects under 50 on the Italian panorama. He designed the corporate offices of FilmMaster, Inferentia, Bain&Cuneo and the Tad Concept Store in Rome, new factories for Getrag and Cisal, a cemetery at Ascoli Piceno, the extension to the Municipality of San Donato Milanese, the restoration and conversion to a public cultural centre of the Rocca Brivio complex and a sports centre with indoor arena at Salsomaggiore. In the field of layout design he created the stands for Virgilio, Fineco, Telecom, the Roberto Baggio Sport store, sales points, event and stand layouts at fairs for Chrysler-Jeep as well as for Tad and Cisal, companies for whom he also designs products, as well as the layout for the “The Andy Warhol Show” at the Milan Triennial. Tra le realizzazioni in corso: master plan, torri residenziali fabbrica e nuova sede per Living Divani, studiata con Piero Lissoni Mediateca Comunale di Fidenza (OF-Orsoline Fidenza); complessi turistici sul Lago Maggiore con residenze, hotel, centro sportivo, centro congressi, ristoranti e yachting club; un nuovo complesso residenziale con affaccio sul lago nell’area Ex Ceramica a Laveno. Nel 2006 Giampiero Peia e Marta Nasazzi hanno aperto una nuova sede della Peia Associati Srl in via Cadolini 30 a Milano. Da allora sono stati inaugurati alcuni lavori dello Studio: un altro concept store TAD a Milano e a Doha, in Qatar, le Alfardan Towers, grande “podium” commerciale con marchi di alto livello, ristoranti, SPA e il “Pearl Pavillion 40.000 abitanti, ultimato in dicembre 2006. Sono in corso altri progetti in Accra (Ghana), Cotonou (Benin) tra cui due Hotel, tre complessi residenziali e uno showroom di design, un’ albergo a Shanghai di 400 stanze con SPA. Studio Peia Associati has participated in a number of recent tenders, which were by invitation only, including one for the designing the Banca Nazionale del Qatar (in association with AEB), the Qatar Embassy in Rome and the master plans in Milan and Florence for Pirelli Real Estate (in association with the MetroGramma and 5+1 studios). The projects in progress are: the master plan for the residential towers and commercial buildings in Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur; the factory and new headquarters for Living Divani, in collaboration with Piero Lissoni; certain residential buildings in Milan; the Mediateca Comunale of Fidenza (OF-Orsoline Fidenza); the tourist complex at Lago Maggiore with residences, a hotel , a sports centre, a conference centre, restaurants and a yachting club; a new residential complex facing the lake on the former site of Ceramica in Laveno. In 2006 Giampiero Peia and Marta Nasazzi opened the new offices of Peia Associati Srl. at Via Cadolini 30 in Milan.
