ANZALONE+BISTACCHI è uno studio di progettazione che opera a 360 gradi nel settore del Design. Lo studio è stato fondato nel 2009 da Davide Anzalone e Tommaso Bistacchi.

Dal nostro approccio al progetto scaturiscono idee per prodotti semplici e funzionali, risultato di un processo che tende a togliere anziché ad aggiungere.

Oggetti che si esprimono nell’essere contemporanei, liberi da convenzioni predefinite, esteticamente piacevoli.

Oggetti che, talvolta ispirandosi a forme organiche o facendosi contaminare da linguaggi espressivi propri di altri ambiti, talaltra cercando di instaurare un legame intrinseco con l’utilizzatore rendendolo attore del quotidiano o stimolando un lieve stupore,

aspirano con disinvoltura a rendersi unici e desiderabili.

ANZALONE+BISTACCHI is a brand new design studio founded in June 2009 by Davide Anzalone and Tommaso Bistacchi. Our work is focused on product, furniture and lighting design.

Our approach to the project originates ideas which give life to simple and functional products; a result of a process aiming at “summarizing” instead of “adding”.

We design products which strive to be unique: sometimes drawing their inspiration from organic shapes some others using an expressive languages belonging to other fields of everyday life.

Our objects show off their being contemporary, free from preconceived conventions, aesthetically appealing.

Maia for Manomano Design

Luce e ombra, metallo e colore.Maia è una piccola lampada da tavolo o parete che

nasce dall’idea di sfruttare la tecnologia del taglio laser per arricchire e dare un valore aggiunto

importante alle lamiere di metallo con una nuova funzionalità ed estetica.

Light and shadows, metal and colours.Maia is a small table/wall lamp that arises from the idea to take advantage of the laser cut technology

enhancing the metal sheet material with a fresh aesthetics .

Talia è una lampada da terra realizzata in metallo tagliato al laser, disponibile in bianco o nero.

Talia is a floor lamp made in lasercut metal, available in white and black.

Serie di tavolini in metallo. Le particolari gambe a forma di Y sono realizzate con due lamiere di me-tallo saldate in modo da ottenere uno spazio che può essere utilizzato per contenere libri e riviste.

I fori nel top dei tavolini enfatizzano questa nuova funzionalità.

Ypsilon is a series of coffee tables made of laser cut metal. The particular ‘Y-shaped’ legs realized with two bended metal sheets create a space than can

be used to contain books or magazines.The holes on the table top emphatize this new

function of the legs.

Slice4 for Cristalplant+Zanotta design contest

Slice4 è un tavolo centrosala o consolle in Cristalplant.

La sua formalità scultorea suggerisce fluidità ed armonia, disegnata da linee morbide e geometrie

plastiche che vogliono avvicinarsi a onde senza fine.

Slice4 is a coffee table and consolle made of Cristalplant.

Its sculptural shape suggests fluidity and harmony, drawn by soft lines and curved geometries that look

like neverending waves.

Pandora for Cristalplant+Zanotta design contest

Pandora è un tavolino da caffè con integrati un vassoio ed uno spazio per riporre riviste e oggetti.Il nome prende ispirazione dal Vaso di Pandora e

vuole comunicare l’inaspettato spazio nascosto sotto il vassoio.

La struttura superiore del tavolino è realizzata in Cristalplant: una forma morbidamente scultorea

sospesa su di una base leggera in acciaio.

Pandora is a coffee table with an integrated space for magazines and a tray.

The name takes inspiration by the Pandora’s box and wants to communicate the unexpected space

hidden under the tray.The structure of the top is made of Cristalplant, a

smooth sculptural shape in pure white which floats on a minimal lightweight steel base.

Garda winner of “Legno e Progetto” competition

Garda is a system of furniture for bedrooms, first prize award at the Calligaris “Legno e Progetto

2009” competition.

The project plays with order and disorder, by giving a sense to the mess which usually lives in a room. You are not forced to follow a static composition

anymore, now you can just arrange everything into an ‘up to you’ way.

Each drawer is an independent module the user can move freely.On the proper night table, under

the bed, on the floor, one above the other...wherever you like.

The frame is made of aluminium, covered by different wood essences such as cherry wood,

oak or wengé. Small linear rubber studs under the drawers prevent the wood from scratches and

avoid slipping

Immensola Immensola is a flexible multi-shelf display system

with RGB led lighting, selected within the 6 international finalists of Colorsdesigner com-petition for Benetton Group and POLI.design.

The shelves are fixed one above the other on a movable block, so that they can be removed or

positioned into an endless variety of combinations.The use of Immensola is extremely flexible solution

to fit out Points of Purchase.

“Throwing the architectural space into crisis and giving it a back seat to the design of the fittings, we decided to remove the display module from any direct contact with the perimeter wall, thus

transforming the perceptive space. Fundamental to the design of IMMENSOLA and the basis of the

display system it generates, is the awareness of difference: total autonomy from the principal struc-

ture. IMMENSOLA, in any configuration, is always subject to dialogue with the location in which it is

placed and takes its justification precisely from the annulment of the space which houses it.”

Rodi è un lavandino freestanding adatto sia ad un ambiente contract che domestico.

L’intersezione di due lastre di marmo bianco di Carrara e una lastra di vetro cristallo, crea un

angolo che definisce un lavandino minimalistico e inconsueto, caratterizzato da un valore formale

fortemente riconoscibile ed un approcio essenziale al progetto.

Rodi is a freestanding sink, suitable for both residential and contract spaces.

The intersection among two inclined Carrara marble slices and a clear glass slab creates an angle which

defines a minimalistic and innovative sink, with a very recognizable character

and essential approach.

Concept per una vasca da bagno realizzata la sottili lastre di marmo bianco Carrara e vetro cristallo.

Il contrasto tra le linee curve delle lastre di marmo e la struttura secca ed essenziale delle lastre di vetro rendono il progetto adatto sia ad ambienti moderni

che più classici.Tutte le parti in marmo sono ricavate da sole due lastre standard 1800x2500mm; la loro forma par-

ticolare crea inoltre un piccolo vassoio e supporto per tutti i piccoli oggetti da bagno.

Alea is a concept for a bathtub made of marble slices and clear glass slabs.

The contrast between the smooth shapes of the marble slices and the minimal glass structure ma-

kes it suitable for both modern and classic interiors.All the slices are made out of just two marble slabs of 1800x2500mm; their peculiar shape creates also

a support for all the stuff you need when having a relaxing bath.

Etable for Cristalplant+Zanotta design contest

ETable è un tavolino e un porta riviste.La struttura è realizzata in Cristalplant, un materiale

innovativo 3d surface che può essere stampato come le materie plastiche ma mantiene una finitura superficiale pulita e levigata come pietra sabbiata.

La sua amichevole forma aliena suggerisce un nuovo modo per interpretare un accessorio per il

salotto.

ETable is an occasional table with a magazine rack.The structure is made of Cristalplant, an innovati-ve 3d surface material which can be moulded as

normal plastics but has a smooth and clean surface finishing almost like sandblasted stone.

Its friendly alien shape is a new way to think an accessory for a living room.

Numa for Cristalplant+Zanotta design contest

Numa è un separè realizzato in Cristalplant.La struttura modulare è composta da singole pareti

(400mm di larghezza) tenuti insieme da fasce in cuoio.

Il risultato è un’infinità di possibili configurazioni per aiutare ad arredare e dividere lo spazio di una stanza. I fori e i morbidi “denti” in questi, possono

essere utilizzati per appendere capi di abbigliamento, accessori e altro.

Numa is a space divider made of Cristalplant.It consists on a modular structure made of single

modules (400mm width) hold toghether by flexible strings of pure leather.

The result is an infinity of possible configurations that can help to better fit the space you need to

divide. The smooth shaped holes and ‘teeth’ can be used as coats/bags hangers.

Davide, dopo la Laurea in Disegno Industriale al Politecnico di Milano, nel 2005 si trasferisce in Austria e si specializza in Product Design alla FH Joanneum di Graz. Torna in Italia nel 2006 e dopo un periodo in Design Group Italia, è freelance colla-borando con diversi studi di architettura e aziende nel settore consumer electronics, e come consulente di progettazione per studi di concept and innovation design. Tra i suoi clienti: Audison, Hertz, Versace Home, Di Bari Innovation Design e Giorgetti.

Davide, after graduating at the Politecnico di Milano, moves to Austria and get a specialisation at the FH Joanneum of Graz. In 2006 he goes back to Italy and, after a short period in Design Group Italia, begins his freelance activity collaborating with various architecture studios and consumer electronics firms. At the same time is is also working as a design consultant for concept and innovation design studios. Amongst his clients: Audison, Hertz, Versace Home, Di Bari Innovation Design and

Giorgetti.

Tommaso, dopo gli studi ad indirizzo classico, consegue la Laurea Specialistica in Disegno Industriale presso il Politecnico di Milano. Nel 2003 è in Danimarca presso la Magnus-Olesen furniture. Durante il 2005 studia in Olanda interaction&experience design alla TU/e di Eindhoven. Nel 2007 partecipa al workshop di Vitra a Boisbu-chet, Francia, con il designer Shin Azumi. A 26 anni è freelance collaborando con diversi studi di progettazione e occupandosi di scouting di materiali innovativi, con-cept e strategic design. Dal 2009 insegna al Politecnico di Milano nel laboratorio di progettazione di Antonio Macchi Cassia.

Tommaso, after his classical studies, graduates in Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano. In 2003 he does an internship at the Magnus-Olesen furniture in Denmark and in 2005 he moves to Holland where he graduates in Interaction&Experience Design at the TU/e in Eindhoven. In 2007 he attends a workshop sponsored by Vitra in Boisbuchet (France) with the designer Shin Azumi. At the age of 26, he begins his freelance activity collaborating with various design studios and working on material scouting, concept and strategic design. From 2009 until the present days Tommaso is also a lecturer at the Industrial Design course held by Antonio Macchi Cassia at the Politecnico di Milano.
