Andrea Modica: Extended Moments is on view at Akron Art Museum through February 24, 2016. "While working with the cumbersome 8 x 10 in. view camera that asks the artist to participate in how she presents her subjects, Andrea Modica's openness to what they bring allows her to achieve what she describes as 'a marriage between the photographer and what the world brings to the picture.' Using equipment that accommodates only two sheets of film, Modica relies on a handful of exposures to realize her intentions.
