The five-star Parco dei Principi, an architecture rooted in an ancient tuff coast, is a testimony to the timeless creativity of Gio Ponti.

The hotel sits between the blue sea of Sorrento and the lush greenery of the botanical garden. Paolo Leopoldo di Borbone, the princes of Cortchacow and many members of the Russian aristocracy fell in love with this incomparable natural scenery, giving the area a great historical heritage.

Pavimenti in maiolica salernitana nei toni del celeste e del bianco, riflettono i colori del mare e del cielo: lune, cerchi, triangoli, stelle e foglie raccontano una storia diversa in ogni camera.

Minimalism and space are key in the 96 rooms with their original pieces of Gio Ponti furniture: the famous headboard-panels, the ‘Vanity’ tables with circular mirror, the ‘Leggera’ chairs and the built-in closets.

The white and light blue majolica tiles reflect the sea and sky colours: patterns featuring moons, circles, triangles, stars and leaves tell a different story in each room.

Nella hall dall’incredibile prospettiva sul mare infinito, dal 2012 è ospitato il ‘Museo dell’Opera’, un’esposizione dei disegni originali e degli arredi presenti nelle camere e negli spazi comuni, divenuti pezzi iconici della storia del design di tutti i tempi.

Since 2012 the lobby, with its view out to the endless sea, has been home to the ‘Museo dell’Opera’, an exhibition of original sketches and some of the hotel’s pieces of furniture, themselves milestones of Italian design.

Nestled amongst the ancient oaks and other rare trees of the huge botanical garden, is a salt water pool designed by Ponti to resemble «a stretch of water for wood nymphs».
