Sembrano passati secoli da quando invitare a cena qualcuno, che nonfosse un amico intimo o un parente stretto, significava chiedere ai colla-boratori domestici (per chi poteva) di fermarsi per organizzare e cucinareuna cena per gli invitati.Spesso diventava un evento soporifero e imbarazzante sia per i came-rieri che per i proprietari che stavano sulle spine temendo le gaffes deiservitori ... personale a volte noleggiato per una sera, estranei che non cono-scendo la casa ne combinavano di tutti i colori stil e Hollywood party.Si cenava rigorosamente in sala da pranzo dove tutto era in perfettoordine, fino alla noia!Aldiladi un separ, lorrendo angolo cottura in cui si accumulavanomucchi di stoviglie e di portate appoggiate persino sulla pattumiera, per-ch spesso lo spazio non era sufficiente...

Un supplizio per camerieri e padroni di casa, in apprensione per i rumoriche provenivano da dietro un muro posticcioAllora ecco che il padrone di casa parlare per coprire i rumori e alzando ilvolume della musica di sottofondo, scusarsi con gli ospiti...Su questa idea un gruppo di artisti denominati funny waiters ha cre-ato uno spettacolo di intrattenimento a domicilio: ironici, raffinati edecontract organizzatori di cene che riescono ad enfatizzare e dissacrarequesto ridicolo rito, medio borghese...fingendosi camerieri.Escono con piatti da portata succulenti che per a causa di unimprovviso quanto organizzato incidente cadono per terra, con sorpresae sgomento (e quindi Emozione) degli ospitiLospite diventa cos co-protagonista, si guarda imbarazzato e con unagran voglia di ridere...Subito dopo si sentono urla dal famigerato angolo cottura e se neescono un cuoco (finto), armato di coltellaccio, che insegue un aiutocuoco (finto anchegli), che aveva sbagliato gli ingredientifino alla tem-pesta dei piatti che volano in giardino per mano di un lavapiatti (sempre

finto) in rivolta con lo chef.In modo divertente e grottesco, come accade agli artisti, raccontanopeculiarit di unepoca.

Oggi invitare a cena molto pi divertente, si invitano gli ospiti a colla-borare in cucina, dove il proprietario che sa cucinare in maniera perfet-ta, si esibisce in una performance di cultura culinaria... cool sapercucinare, soprattutto per gli uomini, che diventano anche seducentigrazie allarte di prendersi cura di s e degli altri.Chi invece non sa cucinare, pu affittare un maestro di sushi o di rowfood o di altre esotiche cucine, da esibire in casa ed intrattenere gliospiti facendo vedere la performance culinaria.Risultato: nessuno sta seduto ad aspettare, tutti si muovono, i proprietaridiventano elegantissimi sguatteri e gli ospiti imparano qualcosa di pi infatto di cucina.

Per questa ragione abbiamo pensato a cucine che non sono angoli cot-

tura, ma cucine palcoscenico... spettacolari come una scenografia de-dicata alla necessit e alla ritualit del mangiare.Gli ospiti diventano spettatori interattivi, vedono e sanno cosa mangiano,come preparato e da chi.Abbiamo accorciato lo spazio tra cucina e sala da pranzo, reso pi di na-mico il servizio, ed eliminato la stanza buona con i centrini sotto aglioggetti...Tutto in salsa ( proprio il caso di dirlo) neogotica, cos nello stile checi contraddistingue, che piaccia o no, uno stile di carattere, senza mezzitermini, senza wonna be something... nel nostro stile ispirato allecontaminazioni gotiche del nostro continente europeo, per parlare ainuovi mercati internazionali, assetati di proverbiale eleganza e stile che ilMade in Italy ha da esportare.

It seems like centuries have past since wheninviting someone for dinner, someone that wa-snt a close friend or relative, meant asking butlersand maids (for those who had the possibility) towork overtime and cook a meal for the guests.Often the dinner would transform itself ina sleep-inducing event, embarrassing bothhousekeepers and house owners that wereterrified from the firsts gaffesone night rented housekeepers andwaiters some times, that not knowing the hou-se, would make a disasterHollywood Partystyle.Dinner was strictly served in the dining roomwhere everything was perfectly in orderboringly in order!

Behind a separ, the horrible kitchen cornerwhere mountains of dishes, pots and pans were

placed, often also on the garbage cans since thespace was never enough A torture for housekeepers and house owners,concerned for the noise coming from the other

side of the artificial wall.In this case the house owner would start to speak

louder, to rise the volume of the music and to excusehimself with his guests

Using this idea, a group of artists called funnywaiters created a entertainment show: ironic, refined

and decontract, dinner organizers that emphasize anddebunk this ridiculous middle-bourgeois ritepreten-

ding to be waiters.they serve beautiful and succulent plates that for an

unexpected yet organized accident, fall to the ground for thesurprise, consternation and emotion of the guests making

them become co-protagonists of the dinner and making them

have a great laugh.Immediately after, yells and cursing words come from the infamouskitchen corner and out will come the chef (fake), armed with a

huge knife running after his assistant (also fake) that probably mistakensome ingredients and after them the plate washer (always fake) throwing

and launching plates in the garden cursing after the chef.In a funny and grotesque way, as often happens with artists, they wouldnarrate the peculiarities of an poque.

Today inviting someone to dinner is much more amusing. The guests are in-vited to collaborate in a kitchen where the house owner actually knows howto cook perfectly and shows off in a performance of kitchen cultureitscool to know how to cook, especially for men, that become seductive thanksto the art of taking care of themselves and of others.Those who dont know how to cook can call a sushi master or an expert ofraw food or exotic kitchen to come and cook at home, offering the guestsan experience of kitchen performance.

The result: none of the guests sits waiting, everyone is in movement and thehouse owners become extremely elegant scullery-boys teaching also somethingabout how to cook and how to move in a kitchen.For this reason we have created a kitchen that isnt only a corner buta Kitchen Stagespectacular like a scenography dedicated to the needs andto the eating ritual.Guests become interactive spectators, they see and know what they areeating, how its made and who is making it.We have shortened the distance between the kitchen and the dining room,made the service more dynamic and eliminated the perfect boring room withcrochet-hook cloths under the objects All in a neo-gothic sauce (and its the case to say it), as is in the style thatdistinguishes us, like it or not, a style with character and without half terms,without a wanna be somethingin our style inspired by the gothic contami-nations of our European continent, to speak with the new international marketswho hunger the famous elegance and style that the Made in Italy exports.
