An outstanding residential complex featuring 16 homes built around two big swimming pools of 500 sqm. is located in the luxuriant residential area south of Malindi named Marine Park, few hun-dreds meters from the gorgeous beach, starting point for marine excursions, snorkelling and big game fi-shing. The STARFISH VILLAGE rises in one of the most exclusive areas, where some of the histo-rical villas of the Kenyan coast are located, as well as famous beach clubs such as the White Elephant and the Billionaire complex resort and casino.

Seguendo i principi cardine alla base del succes-so riscontrato dal complesso gemello, lo Star-fish Villas, la progettazione si principalmente concentrata sul garantire il relax e la privacy dei futuri fruitori del complesso mantenendo tut-tavia le caratteristiche del resort. E per questa ragione che il progetto che proponiamo si deve principalmente considerare un intervento pae-saggistico. Il layout prevede lo sfruttamento del naturale dislivello del terreno per creare due di-stinte zone di pertinenza, che unito ad un accu-rato uso delle ampie zone di giardino e la forma e dimensione delle piscine garantisce il rispetto e la fruizione degli spazi di pertinenza delle abi-tazioni.

Following the key principles that underline the success of the twin complex of the Starfish Vil-las, the design has been primarily focused on ensuring relax and privacy for the users while maintaining the features of the resort. For this re-ason the project has to be mainly considered as a landscape intervention. The layout includes the exploitation of the natural slope of the ground to create two distinct areas of relevance, combining this aspect with large garden areas and with the shape and the size of the pools.

Lo stile architettonico che proponiamo ispira-to alliconografia tropicale propria del vicino arcipelago di Lamu. Limmagine che ne deriva estremamente elegante e dialoga perfettamente con gli ampi spazi di acqua delle piscine e con i giardini che le circondano.

The style of architecture that we propose is inspired by the iconography of the close tropical archipelago of Lamu. The picture that emerges is extremely elegant and interacts perfectly with the wide-open spaces of the pools and the gardens that surround them.
