Metalmobil diventa et al•

Nel 1956, le mani sapienti degli artigiani che intrecciavano il fi lo in plastica su telai di acciaio creavano una piccola icona delle sedute italiane, la poltroncina 001. Era la nascita di Metalmobil e l’inizio di un percorso felice, guidato da uno sguardo verso il futuro che lentamente, giorno dopo giorno, diventava più chiaro, attraverso una visione sempre più affi lata e a fuoco su un obiettivo: il design. Oggi, quello che un tempo era un obiettivo, è un presupposto: design come principio primo, motore di ogni pensiero e di ogni azione, scelta etica ed estetica, orizzonte di pensiero che ha la sua forza vitale nell’ascolto degli altri. Per questo, Metalmobil diventa et al•In letteratura, et al• signifi ca “e altri” (dal latino et alii), in riferimento a tutti i co-autori di un’opera. et al• è un ecosistema aperto, aggregante, che si arricchisce continuamente grazie alla partecipazione di progettisti aff ermati ed emergenti nello scenario internazionale. Metalmobil diventa et al• a compimento di un percorso identitario che disegna nuovi paesaggi, dove il punto fi nale è in realtà una nuova partenza. Metalmobil diventa et al• e affi da a queste quattro lettere il compito di portare nel futuro le radici di un territorio unico al mondo, tra la Romagna e le Marche, dove mare e colline si incontrano, e dove saper fare artigiano e cultura industriale si fondono, per migliorare la qualità della vita delle persone.

In 1956, the skilful hands of the craftsmen who wove plastic wire onto steel frames created an iconic little Italian seat, the 001 armchair. This was the birth of Metalmobil and the start of a successful journey, guided with an eye to the future that slowly, day by day, became clearer, and with a vision that became sharper and sharper and focused on one objective: design. Today, what was once an objective is now a prerequisite: design is our guiding principle, which drives every thought and every action, an ethical and aesthetic choice, the reference point of our thoughts, whose vitality lies in listening to others. This is why Metalmobil is now et al•In literature, et al• means “and others” (from the Latin et alii), referring to all the co-authors of a work. et al• is an open ecosystem, which brings people together and is continually enriched by the involvement of recognised and emerging designers on the international stage. Metalmobil is becoming et al• as the fulfi lment of a journey to discover its identity creating new landscapes, where the end point is actually a new beginning. Metalmobil is becoming et al• and is entrusting these four letters with the task of carrying into the future the roots of a unique region, between Romagna and Marche, where sea and hills meet and where craftsmanship and industrial culture come together, improving quality of life.
