The dates for the Baptism of children and for the Pre-Baptismal instruction of parents should be arranged in the rectory ONE MONTH IN ADVANCE. In addition to English, and Spanish this Sacrament may also be in Italian.

•WEDDINGS/ MATRIMONIO Pre–marital instruction is a requirement for all engaged couples. Consequently, arrangements for weddings should be made SIX MONTHS in advance.

“Jesus came home with his disciples… His mother and his brothers arrived. Standing outside they sent word to Him and called Him. A crowd seated around Him told Him, ‘Your mother and your brothers and your sisters are outside asking for you.’ But He said to them in reply, ‘Who are My mother and my brothers?’ And looking around at those seated in the circle he said, ‘Here are My mother and My brothers. For whoever does the will of God

is My brother and My sister and My mother.’” What a wonderful description of the great homecoming. Sometimes welcomed, at other times scorned. Those who wanted to be with the Teacher had a lot to learn, and He added an important new dimension. Jesus explicitly tells us of our relationship with Him. We are brothers and sisters. Unfortunately, some use this passage to speak of Mary having other children and even denying her virginity. Sadly, they miss the point. Can you see the crowd, the circle of eager listeners, the sudden interruption, and then the fundamental teaching? I become a brother or sister of the Lord as I seek to know the will of God and put it into practice. My search, sometimes called discernment, allows me to establish in the words of Pope Francis a relationship with Jesus. As I am brother and sister to Him, I have the same relationship with others. How often St. Paul wrote to his brothers and sisters.

“Jesús regresó a la casa con sus discípulos… Entonces llegaron su madre y sus hermanos y, quedándose afuera, lo mandaron llamar. La multitud estaba sentada alrededor de Jesús, y le dijeron: ‘Tu madre y tus hermanos te buscan ahí fuera’. El les respondió: ‘¿Quién es mi madre y quiénes son mis hermanos?’. Y dirigiendo su mirada sobre los que estaban sentados alrededor de él, dijo: ‘Estos son mi madre y mis hermanos. Porque el que hace la voluntad de Dios, ese es mi hermano, mi hermana y mi madre.’” Qué maravillosa descripción de la llegada a casa. A veces bienvenido, a veces despreciado. Los que deseaban estar con el Maestro tenían mucho que aprender y El agregaba una importante nueva dimensión. Jesús nos habla explícitamente sobre nuestra relación con El. Somos hermanos y hermanas. Desafortunadamente, algunos utilizan este pasaje para decir que María tuvo otros hijos y niegan su virginidad. Tristemente, pierden el punto. ¿Puede usted imaginarse la multitudes, el círculo de atentos oyentes, de pronto la interrupción, y luego la lección fundamental? Yo me convierto en hermano o hermana del Señor al intentar conocer la voluntad de Dios y ponerla en práctica. Mii búsqueda, a veces llamada discernimiento, me permite establecer, en palabras del Papa Francisco, una relación con Jesús. Ya que soy hermano y hermana de El, yo tengo la misma relación con otros. Muy a menudo San Pablo les escribió a sus hermanos y hermanas.

Approfittiamo di questo insegnamento per esaminare il nostro atteggiamento di fronte alle azioni del

prossimo, e in particolare se si tratta di membri della Chiesa. Pensiamo per esempio che i giudizi inutili - e talvolta temerari -, i dubbi senza motivo o i commenti negativi sulle intenzioni degli altri infrangono l’unità e la comunione della Chiesa. Noi dobbiamo avere, al contrario, un grande amore per l’unità, nella diversità legittima che si riscontra nel popolo di Dio. Anche se siamo tutti molto diversi, il nostro amore per la Chiesa saprà passare sopra questa diversità. Se ci orientiamo veramente verso la santità, lottando nel cammino che Dio stabilisce per ognuno di noi, perché non dovremmo essere uniti? E, se vediamo dei difetti negli altri, il nostro atteggiamento sarà di comprensione piena di misericordia, cercando di aiutarli a superarli. Abbiamo quindi bisogno di una grande rettitudine e umiltà, per evitare la posizione di coloro che - come quelli che accusano il Signore di essere posseduto da uno spirito immondo - interpretano male l’opera degli altri e rifiutano per principio di riconoscere l’azione di Dio nelle iniziative altrui.

Registration for the year 2018 -2019 will be held from June 4th through June 15th

from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Parish Rectory.

Birth & Baptism Certificate of Student. Every child must be re-registered each year. 2 consecutive years to receive a holy sacrament.

Combined Tuition Fees refer to siblings, not cousins.

WEEKLY MASS SCHEDULE CHANGE Dear Parishioners, We would like

to remind you of our new updated weekly Mass schedule.

The 12 noon Mass will no longer be celebrated.

During the week we will continue to have Mass at 8am in English Monday through Friday.

As well as the 7:30pm Spanish Mass on Mondays & Thursdays and the Saturday 9am morning Mass.

We gladly thank all of the parishioners who attended Mass at noon regularly, we appreciate

your support and understanding.

horario de Misa semanal. A partir del lunes 11 de junio de 2018

La Misa de 12 del mediodía ya no se celebrará. Durante la semana, seguiremos teniendo Misa a las

8am en inglés de lunes a viernes. Además de la Misa en español de las 7:30pm los lunes y jueves y la Misa de los

sábados a las 9 am. Con un número limitado de sacerdotes durante el verano y la necesidad de

vacaciones, no podemos asegurarles que se celebrará una misa al medio día. Les agradecemos a todos los

feligreses que asistieron a la Misa al mediodía regularmente, agradecemos su apoyo y comprensión.
