Hockey Club RivaL’Hockey Club Riva nasce ufficialmente il 25 agosto 1971 per opera di un gruppo di ventenni che aveva visto per la prima volta questo sport in una finale di cam-pionato femminile disputatasi in quell’anno al campo Benacense.E già nel marzo dell’anno successivo si incrociano le mazze nel campionato di Serie C rimediando solenni batoste. Mentre la prima squadra partecipa sempre ai campionati di B o C e la società organizza il suo tradizionale torneo internazionale che raggiunge notevoli picchi di popolarità e partecipazione. Nonostante ai primi giocatori subentri gradual-mente linfa nuova dal settore giovanile, la prima squadra non tocca mai vertici di rilievo ed anzi lo spirito si affievolisce: nel 1984 si organizza l’ultimo torneo e nel 1986/7 si disputa l’ultimo campionato.La Società decide in quel momento di rifondarsi e entra nelle scuole con un corso che avrà un incredibile successo e creerà la base per tutta l’attività gio-vanile e poi di prima squadra dei successivi venti anni. Già nel 1988 viene iscritta una squadra al campionato under 14 maschile e l’anno successivo, per la prima volta nella storia della Società, anche a quello femminile. Il gruppo è fortissi-mo e presto arrivano le soddisfazioni; a fine secolo ci iscriviamo nuovamente ai campionati maggiori. I maschi arrivano sempre vicini ad obiettivi importanti che però non riescono mai a raggiungere. Emblematici i risultati della stagione 2003/4 quando perdono dall’H.C. Bra la finale di promozione alla massima serie indoor e non riescono ad approdare alla A2 di prato pur essendoci arrivati vici-nissimi. Due forti delusioni che lasciano il segno. Alcuni abbandonano e gli altri, per continuare, emigrano all’Adige di Mori dove già al primo anno vincono il campionato di serie A indoor e conquistano la promozione alla massima serie nel prato. Le ragazze invece resistono nella loro volontà di giocare con i colori gial-loneri e conquistano per tre volte la promozione alla serie A di indoor (2005/6, 2007/8 e 2009/10). Il campionato 2014/15 le vede però per l’ultima volta assieme.Nel frattempo è iniziata una nuova rivoluzione e dal 2001 si ritorna massiccia-mente nelle scuole. Da allora tutti gli anni si collabora con maestri e professori ed i risultati sono subito evidenti con tanti nuovi atleti ai quali proponiamo tantissima attività (circuiti under 8/10/12, tornei in Italia e all’Estero, Festival estivi). E vengono anche i successi...ma questa è cronaca di pochi mesi fa.
Hockey Club Riva
Hockey Club Riva was born on the 25th of August, 1971, driven after a great national final that had been played that spring on the pitch in Benacense.
Already by March of the following year they fielded a team in division C, reme-diating bad previous losses.
While the first team kept playing in division B or C and the club kept organi-sing its traditional international tournament which at its peak was remarkably
popular with good participation. Even though new players gradually came along in the youth section of the club, the first team couldn’t quite keep itself together, with a fading spirit they organised their last tournament in 1984 and
in 1986/7 they played in their last championship. At this time the club decided to rebuild itself and started going into the scho-
ols with a programme which would have incredible success. This created a great base for the youth section and for the senior team for
the next 20 years. Already, in 1988 a team was enrolled in the under 14 league, and the following year, for the first time in the it’s history, the club enrolled a female team. The group was fantastic and soon their hard work was repayed: at the end of the century we enrolled a team, once again in the senior league.
The men always got close to important targets but unfortunately they never quite managed to reach them. For example the results from the 2003/4 season
when they lost to H.C. Bra in the promotional indoor finals and when they didn’t quite manage to get promoted from division A2 although they came
incredibly close. 2 delusions that would leave their mark. Some gave up, and others so as they could keep playing moved to Adige, in Mori. Here, already
in their first season they won the indoor 1st division and they won promotion to the top league in outdoor. The girls kept their drive to play in the yellow
and black colours and they won promotion 3 times to the A division in indoor (2005/6, 2007/8, 2009/10). However 2014/5 was the last year that they played
together. At the same time, since 2001 there has been new revolution throu-ghout the schools. Since then, each year the teachers and schools collabora-te and the results are evident with lots of new athletes to whom we propose
plenty of activities (under 8/10/12 circuit, Italian and foreign tournaments, summer festivals) and we have reached success....but this is recent news from
only a few months ago.

BEE HAPPY !International Youth Hockey Tournament
Già dai primi anni dalla nascita, la nostra società ha sempre offerto ai suoi atleti la possibilità di partecipare a tanti tornei sia in Italia e all’Eu-ropa (Germania, Austria, Croazia, Spagna, etc.). Ed è proprio questa vocazione al confronto con altre realtà e altri stili di hockey (che da sempre ha caratterizzato le nostre squadre) che ha spinto i dirigenti di allora ad organizzare i primi tornei a Riva del Garda ai quali parte-ciparono soprattutto squadre provenienti da Germania ed Austria, attratte dalla bellezza del Trentino ma soprattutto del nostro lago.Purtroppo il torneo subì un brusco stop a metà degli anni Ottanta a seguito della rifondazione societaria ed alla ricomposizione del settore giovanile.Nel 2015, grazie alla volontà di alcuni membri del nuovo diretti-vo, è nato il Torneo Internazionale Bee Happy! riservato alle ca-tegorie giovanili. E già alla sua seconda edizione (2016), è sta-to considerato l’evento giovanile più importante d’Italia (come riportato dalla stessa Federazione Italiana Hockey sul proprio sito web).Oltre a dare ai propri atleti ed alle proprie atlete la possibilità di confronto sportivo (e non solo) con altre realtà italiane ed euro-pee, il torneo si pone l’obiettivo di promuovere assieme al nostro sport anche la nostra Città ed il nostro territorio, in tutta Europa!
Numeri delle prime due edizioni:
- Oltre 60 addetti all’organizzazione- Oltre 40 club partecipanti- Più di 600 ragazzi e ragazze coinvolti- Più di 200 partite disputate- Oltre 3000 pasti erogati- 100% FUN!!!!!
Already in the first years of its birth, our club encouraged participating in many tournaments within Italy and in Europe (Germany, Austria, Croatia, Spain, etc.). It is this aim, giving the opportunity to compare many other realities and hockey styles (that has always characterised our teams). It was this which encouraged our directive committee to organise the first tournament in Riva del Garda, where mainly German and Austrian teams participate, enticed by the beauty of Trentino and above all our lake.Unfortunately, the tournament came to a grinding halt in the mid-eighties due to the re-structuring of the society and changes made to the youth sector.After years of absence, in 2015, thanks to the enthusiasm of certain members on the new directive committee, the International Bee Hap-py Tournament was re-born. Reserved for youth categories. Already in its second year (2016), it was considered the most important youth event in Italy (as stated on the Italian Hockey Federation website)It offers its athletes the possibility to compare and confront playing styles (and not only) with other Italian and European realities, the tournament also promotes, together with our sport, our city and our area to all of Europe!
