OCTOBER 19, 2015 PING PUTTERS ROLL TO 36 WINS SO FAR CADENCE TR FAMILY: 10 WINS I n his runaway victory at the Portugal Masters, Andy Sullivan relied on a Cadence TR Anser 2 putter, marking the 36 th time PING putters have been used to win pro tournaments worldwide since January. Gold-plated replicas of those putters will be added to the glimmering collection in the PING Gold Putter Vault. Of the 36, eight were major championships, including the U.S. Women’s Open won by In-Gee Chun, and two by Jeff Maggert on the Champions Tour. Putters featuring True Roll Technology (Cadence TR, Scottsdale TR) accounted for 21 of the titles, and 14 of those were the Anser 2 model. Multiple winners include Chun (7), Maggert (4), Sullivan (3), Sung Hyun Park (3), Peter Fowler (2), Brooke Henderson (2), and Martin Piller (2). South Korean rising star Sung Hyun Park was elated after posting a course-record-tying 62 in her fi rst round ever in an LPGA Tour event. Competing at the LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship in front of her home-country fans in South Korea, she went on to earn a T2 at -14. The 22-year-old has won three times on the Korea LPGA Tour this season, including a major. She is second on the KLPGA money list, behind PING Pro In-Gee Chun, and Park leads the KLPGA in driving distance with her G30 LS Tec. Also in her bag: an i25 fairway wood, G30 hybrid, S55 irons, Glide wedges, and a Cadence TR Anser 2 putter.

PING Pro Luke Guthrie made the most of the sponsor’s invite he received to last week’s
Fry’s.com Open, earning a T10 on Sunday. The fi nish got him into the fi eld at this week’s Shriners Hospitals for Children Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.
His high point was a 6-under 66 in the third round that featured a back-nine 31 on Saturday at Silverado Country Club in Napa. But he punched his ticket for Vegas with birdies on 16 and 17 coming down the stretch on Sunday.
