Pietrasanta, città d’arte nota come “la piccola Atene”, è mèta di artisti di fama internazionale e vetrina mondiale dell’arte nel mondo: artisti come Botero, Mitoraj abitano e lavorano a Pietrasanta.La fama della piccola Atene richiama artisti da tutto il mondo, che creano le loro opere nei laboratori, atelier di artisti del marmo; sono decine gli studi di scultura che d’estate organizzano esposizioni ‘personali’.Il marmo di Carrara era famoso già nel XV secolo, tanto che Michelangelo in persona veniva qui a scegliere la materia prima per le sue opere d’arte.

Pietrasanta, an art city known as the “Little Athens” is a haunt for world famous artists, and a showcase for art around the world: artists like Botero and Mitoraj live and work in Pietrasanta.!e fame of “Little Athens” attracts ar-tists from all over the world to work in the laboratories and ateliers of the city’s marble artists, and during the summer months many sculpture studios organise personal shows. Carrara marble was already famous in the 15th century, so much so that Mi-chelangelo himself used to come here to choose the marble for his works.

Un meraviglioso palazzo dell’Ottocento trasformato in residenza di lusso.Entrando in Palazzo Guiscardo si respira l’atmosfera di un elegante palazzo signorile. Ogni particolare è stato attentemente studiato per avvolgere il visi-tatore in un’atmosfera homish arricchita da mobili d’antiquariato.Nella sua ristrutturazione e nel suo adeguamento ad albergo sono stati recu-perati, tutti gli elementi architettonici originali come pavimenti, ringhiere e decorazioni.Lo stile classico ed elegante degli ambienti è valorizzato dall’inserimento di attrezzature tecnologiche (televisore a schermo piatto 26 pollici, collegamen-to internet in ciascuna camera, vasche idromassaggio, docce sauna e bagno turco).

A stunning 19th-century palace which has been transformed into a luxury resi-dence.Palazzo Guiscardo has the air and the atmosphere of an elegant aristocratic pa-lace. Every last detail has been carefully studied to envelop the visitor in a homey kind of ambience embellished with pe-riod furnishings.When it was renovated and turned into an hotel all the original architectural fe-atures such as the "oors, banisters and decorations were saved.State-of-the-art features like 26-inch TVs, Internet access, Jacuzzis, sauna-sho-wers and Turkish baths have been added to the classical and elegant rooms.

L’albergo dispone di nove stanze – di cui una suite e quattro superior ro-oms – e di un appartamento (non nel corpo centrale del Palazzo) tutte arredate in maniera di#erente assicurando un clima caldo e accogliente.

Particolare cura è stata data alla realizzazione dei bagni che abbinando pre-stigiosi marmi locali, inseriscono perfettamente il palazzo nella tradizione della città di Pietrasanta, terra di artisti, scultori e laboratori artigiani.

Sono proprio i vari tipi di marmo che danno a ciascuna camera il proprio nome. L’accoglienza e l’atmosfera sono quelli di una casa privata, con i servizi del grande albergo.

!e hotel has nine rooms – one of which is a suite and four of which are superior rooms – and an apartment (not in the main building). Each one has it own distinct style and furniture, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance.

Particular care has been taken with the bathrooms in precious local marbles which blend perfectly with the old buil-ding, respecting the traditions of the city of Pietrasanta which is renowned for its artists, sculptors and artisan workshops.

And the various types of marble used in the bathrooms are what give the rooms their names. !e atmosphere throughout is that of a private home with the service levels of a grand hotel.

Exhibiting art is for us synonymous with sharing, be-cause sharing their emotions is a tool for us to communicate with others, discuss and experience what a painting can transmits.

Guests will delight in the privacy of the Bagno Sandra, a beach with only 32 tents and 20 sun umbrellas in four rows sloping towards the sea. !e wild "owerbed in the centre of the beach and the Mediterranean aromas and the branches of an old tamarind tree create a unique atmosphere.Bu#et breakfast is served in the bar and guests can enjoy lunch in the large dining room or in the garden under a pergola of wisteria.

Molta la privacy di cui possono godere i clienti del bagno Sandra, una spiaggia che conta soltanto 32 tende disposte lungo il suo perimetro e 20 ombrelloni allineati su quattro $le che scendono verso il mare; nel cuo-re della spiaggia, un’aiuola autentica, selvaggia, dai profumi mediterranei, dove il mare si intravede tra i rami di un vecchio tamerici. Il bar vi accoglierà al mattino con un bel bu#et per la colazione; nell’ am-pia sala da pranzo o in giardino, sotto una fresca pergola di glicine, potrete poi godervi il pranzo.
