Health, intended as physical, mental and social well-being, has to be considered as a daily life resource and, because it involves population's living context, it is increasingly becoming a collective responsability. Health promotion is an educational process which tends to render individuals – both singles and groups – feel more responsible in the defence of self and other people's health. Daily life becomes then the privileged space for health promotion, being this last a process which cannot be just considered as the result of a single action or intervention, but it better has to be seen as a com-plex process implying several the responsability of several actors.

With the aim of responding to these increasingly complex needs, the field of oncology is being organized into network models, mainly on a regio-nal scheme.

The network is a tool which must be adapted to the territory in which it acts according to people's experiences and skills, and which is not able to develop if not adequately supported by institutions.

The multidisciplinary-integrated approach built by/on professionists and sustained by institutions today represents the best guarantee of the quality and efficiency of the diagnostic, therapeutic and supportive pathway for patients affected by solid and liquid neoplasms. Such approach allows today to set up a personalized treatment according to disease characteristics, patient's desire and patient's overall health conditions, promoting meantime a proper health educative process for patients them-selves and for caregivers.
