La Valle Trompia è famosa sin dai tempi degli antichi romani per le sue miniere di ferro e per la produzione di armi. E’ in questa Valleche Marocchi Stefano iniziò nel 1922 la produzione di armi da caccia e sportive ottenendo subito notevoli successi grazie anche al genioinventivo del fondatore che gli valse il riconoscimento di numerosi premi a livello internazionale . Attualmente la direzione dell’aziendaè nelle mani di Mauro Marocchi e del fglio Michele . Trompia Valley has been famous since Roman times for its iron mines and the production of weaponry. L’insieme canna, cuore della nostra produzioneL’azienda prossima al centenario vanta una grande cono-scenza e tradizione nella produzione delle canne. E’ dal1922 che foriamo “dal pieno” tutte le nostre canne con ri-sultati sempre ottimi. Riteniamo che l’uso di un determi-nato acciaio con il metodo tradizionale di foratura profonda

garantisca performance superiori in termini di distanza ditiro e distribuzione della rosata. Importanti migliorie sonostate introdotte nel 1997 e successivamente nel 2008 con ilmanuale della qualità dove abbiamo documentato ed orga-nizzato i controlli per le varie fasi del ciclo produttivo. Unadelle prime e più importanti esigenze è stata la denizione

di una specica tecnica per gli acciai per canne di fucile.

Marocchi, dopo uno studio eseguito in collaborazione conun team d’ingegneri metallurgici, ha optato per l’utilizzo diun acciaio con elevato limite elastico ed alta resistenza alla

trazione. Tali caratteristiche eguagliano le proprietà dellenote canne francesi “Saint Etienne”. Attualmente Marocchiacquista solo acciaio con tali caratteristiche e solo le barreche rientrano nei parametri scelti diverranno canne “SteelSaint Etienne”. L’uso dell’acciaio scelto abbinato alla lavora-

zione con foratura dal pieno e tornitura ad alta concentricitàpermette prestazioni formidabili a distanze maggiori; da quila scelta di marchiare le nostre canne “Steel Saint Etienne”.Le canne subiscono controlli rigidissimi sia lungo processo

sia a ne linea e dopo la saldatura a temperatura control -lata di bindella e tenone. La scelta dell’acciaio è solo unaparte della nostra formula vincente:lungo tutto il processo,che dura circa una mese considerando tutte le fasi, ven-gono effettuate prove e veriche con 2 attori: l’esperienza

decennale dei nostri armaioli e la precisione di sosticate

macchine di misurazione. (Nessuna trovata clamorosa puòsostituire tradizione cura e affetto per i nostri prodotti.) Al-tre note: il peso di partenza per una barra lunga 71cm è di4,50kg che scende a 0,80kg per il tubo lavorato. Questo tipodi lavorazione permette di lasciare inalterata la struttura del

materiale e l’elasticità dell’intera canna; caratteristiche chela martellatura intacca alterandone le prestazioni.Una particolare cura richiedono le canne accoppiate per so-vrapposti dove la messa a punto di uno strumento per l’alli-neamento e la tenuta di tubi manicotto e bindelle permetterisultati ottimi in termini di ssaggio e precisione. Ulte-riori piccoli accorgimenti permettono il continuo miglio-ramento ma questi fanno parte dei nostri piccoli segretiche chiunque potrà conoscere utilizzando un prodotto amarca Marocchi.

The company has close to a century’s worth of tradition

and knowledge in the production of gun barrels. For the best performance, accuracy and consistency, we drill the barrels from a solid steel blank.We believe that the use of a special steel, combined

with a traditional method of deep drilling ensures supe- rior performance in terms of distance and shot-pattern distribution. Important improvements were introduced in 1997 and again in 2008, with the introduction of acertied quality control system that documents the va- rious phases of production.One of the rst and most important requirements was

the establishment of a technical specication for the steel used in our gun barrels.After a study carried out in collaboration with a team of

metallurgical engineers, Marocchi opted to use a steel with specic high-tensile strength. This specication

matches the properties of gun barrel blanks known in

French as “Saint Etienne”. Currently Marocchi only buys blanks that are within the parameters needed to beco- me “ Steel Saint Etienne.” The combined use of steel designed to be worked when bored from solid, also allows for better concentricity while being machined. This results in impressive performance at greater distances, and the reason we still mark our barrels “Steel Saint Etienne.” The barrels undergo very strict control over this long process including the - nal technique of welding-in the barrel rib. The choice of steel is only a part of our success though: as throughout the manufacturing process, which lasts about a month,every stage, test, and check is carried out by two engineers: both of whom have ten-year’s experience in the use

of sophisticated measuring equipment (although this does not in any way substitute for traditional care and

attention we give to all our products.)

Other notes: the weight of the blank before drilling is 4.5 kilos for a 71 cm length. After the barrel is drilled and nished, it will weigh just 0.8 kilos.This method of drilling a barrel from a blank doesn’t al- ter the composition of the material and the elasticity of the completed barrel, whilst the alternative more usual method of hammering the barrel can af fect the structure and will compromise performance.Special care is required in the position of the stacked

barrels, where we use a special tool to guarantee the alignment of the double barrels with the sighting rib.Allowing excellent results in terms of mounting and precision.Our attention to detail ensures constant improvements;

- all part of our trade secrets which makes the brand “Marocchi” something unique.

The Finn 612S is a complete shooting system in one gun. A uniquely strong action body made in alloy 7075 T6 (used in many aerospace components) in which aprecision built range of barrels can be instantly tted.This provides the hunter with an over & under, a rie/ shotgung combination, as well as a double rie.

The combination barrel is made using a unique concept.Contrary to the usual pratice the ried barrel is placed on the top and shotgun barrel at the bottom. This allows a better alignment and precision shooting of the ried barrel. To complete this technological solution, the ried barrel, is inserted in a carbon ber handguard that gives both protection and is light weight. The shotgun barrel is provided with a removable choke.

The special locking system is very advanced over other more conventional over & unders. To open the gun the top lever is operated and this draws back the top lock releasing the barrels and opens the gun. On closing the gun the lock moves forward and secures in double locking groves over the barrel and receiver,providing maximum security and safety.

Il sistema di funzionamento Il fucile semi automati-co Marocchi SI 12 ha un funzionamento inerziale. Unarobusta molla pretarata presente tra la testina rotante el’otturatore permette, durante lo sparo, per effetto del rin-culo, di svincolare la testina disimpegnando le alette dallesedi di culatta. In questo modo la cartuccia sparata vieneesplusa, incamerata una nuova e riarmato il cane.

I vantai dell’inerziale Il vantaggio di questo siste-ma è la estrema semplicità del meccanismo ed inoltre adifferenza del sistema a recupero di gas, (appunto per lamancanza in questo caso di sfogo dei gas di sparo) l’armanecessita di pulizia meno frequente.

Quindi : minima manutenzione, massima durata.

La canna Si utilizza acciaio St. Etienne (un acciaio morbi-do che consente una migliore distribuzione della rosata).La lavorazione meccanica impiegata è la tradizionale fo-ratura e tornitura ad alta concentricità dal pieno, con con-trollo al 100% degli spessori di parete garantendo così,grazie anche ai materiali impiegati, una perfetta qualità.

La prova pallini acciaio L’arma è sottoposta alla provaspeciale per l’utilizzo di pallini d’acciaio e viene marcatadal Banco Nazionale di Prova con il “giglio di Francia” . E’pertanto possibile utilizzare cartucce ad alta prestazione(cal. 12/76) e con un diametro del pallino in acciaio noa 4 mm.

Operating System The Marocchi SI12 operates on the princi- ple of inertial utilizing kinetic energy caused by the recoil of the shell within the barrel. The system requires no outlet for gas or barrel recoil, but operates by means of a spring that situated between the bolt head and the bolt.

Inertial operating system advantages The SI 12 system is the newest type of reloading system. It has an extremely simple mechanism which need the minimum of maintenance,unlike normal gas-operated, semi-automatic shotguns,that need constant cleaning and maintenance due to gas discharge into the magazine tube. Less maintenance equals

maximum durability.

Barrel The barrel is made of St. Etienne steel. This softer steel allows for a better shot pattern with a more powerful and precise distribution of pellets. The most technologically advanced machines are used in the boring of the barrel and for the exterior proling. The utmost accuracy is achieved in this precision manufacturing, making a major contribu- tion to the safety and superb shooting characteristics of the SI12.

Special steel proof test The gun is tested by the Italian Na- tional Proof House with the special “Steel Shot Test.” The barrels are stamped by “Lily of France” as conrmation of this special test. This makes the gun suitable for shooting

high performance steel shot ammunition 12(3”) with a pellet diameter up to 4 mm. (Before using these cardridges, read instructions).

L’eccezionalitàdi questi strozzatori è l’acciaio che opportunamentetrattato offre una resistenza di 200 kg/mm 2 che lirende ideali per l’uso di cartucce con pallini d’acciaio.Questo set infatti offre l’opportunità di utilizzarestrozzature come la * o ** stelle (strozzatura pienao ¾) anche con cartucce pallini d’acciaio.

Proluna di canna - Barrel extension

La proluna di canna: offre l’interessante opportunitàdi allungare la canna di 70 mm riutilizzando poi,all’interno della stessa, gli strozzatori Maxi SI 70 in

dotazione all’arma oppure i Maxi SI 90. Nel 612S èpossibile montare solo una prolunga per ogni cannacalibro 12.

Barrel extension: This provides the advantage of lengthening the barrel and still being able to use the Maxi SI 70 mm chokes supplied with the gun (or Maxi SI 90 chokes supplied as accessories). On the 612S model you can only t the one barrel extension for each 12 gauge barrel.
