10.1 Caratteristiche ruota (già impostate sul veicolo)Dimensioni della ruota sulla quale è montato ilsensore giri. Dovrà essere indicato il diametro o losviluppo in mm (valori massimi 9999. Esempio: perdiametro ruota di 695mm ad inserimento completatosi dovrà leggere 0695) e il numero di impulsi per ognigiro, valore massimo 99. Ad inserimento completatose il numero di impulsi è minore di 10, esempio 1, sidovrà leggere 01.
NB le azioni sul pulsante MODE sono di due tipi:Azionamento breve ≤ 1” il programma passa allapagina successiva.Azionamento lungo ≥ 5” il programma permette dientrare nella funzione visualizzata per verificare ilcontenuto o per inserire/modificare i valori contenutie in alcuni casi esegue la memorizzazione.
10.2 Precaricamento codici (già impostati sul veico-lo)Sono già inseriti dal costruttore quattro codici predefinitiche contengono sempre i parametri ruote e i parametridi sorveglianza come “ore cambio olio” e “km al taglian-do”. Solo i parametri di sorveglianza potranno sempreessere modificati.L’identificazione avverrà evidenziando su LCD un nume-ro in codice ed il primo codice inserito sarà 0001.I codici sono già inseriti e non saranno più modificabili senon dal costruttore.Va evidenziato che eseguendo una riprogrammazione ikm totali percorsi verranno azzerati.
10.1 Wheel specifications (factory loaded)Size of the wheel fitting the revolution sensor. Enterthe wheel diameter or circumference in mm (maxi-mum allowable values 9999; if, for example, thewheel diameter is 695 mm, after the measurementhas been entered the display should read 0695) andthe number of pulses per revolution (maximum allow-able value 99). Once the value has been entered, ifthe number of pulses is less than 10, e.g. 1, the displayshould read 01.
NB: The MODE button can be operated in one of twoways:Short operation (button pressed for ≤ 1 second):displays the next page.Long operation (button pressed for ≥ 5 seconds):selects the currently displayed function, allowing itsvalues to be checked, entered, altered and, in somecases, stored.
10.2 Preloaded codes (factory loaded)Four factory-defined codes contain the wheel pa-rameters as well as monitoring parameters such as‘hours to oil change’ and ‘km to service’. Only themonitoring parameters can by altered at all times.Identification is obtained by highlighting a codenumber on the LCD display. The first code to beentered will be 0001. The preloaded codes can onlybe altered by the manufacturer.It should be noted that, if the instrument is repro-grammed, the total number of kilometres covered isset to zero.

• If the configuration is complete,there are two possibilities:- exiting the setup procedure andlaunching the test as described inparagraph 40.0 by turning thespeedometer off and then on again;- checking the code as described inparagraph 20.3.• If no code is appropriate, repeatthe procedure until the display is asshown in Figure 2, which can beobtained by briefly pressing MODEwhile Figure 3 is displayed. 20.3 Checking codesThe codes can be checked at alltimes. Perform the setup proceduresagain by following the steps de-scribed in paragraph 20.1. Oncethe code has been selected andstored, the display will appear asshown in Figure 5.Press MODE until the horizontal barsshown in Figure 7 are displayed.Releasing the button will display thewheel circumference correspond-ing to the selected code(unmodifiable).

20.4 Entering uncoded values
20.4.1 Setting Ln (wheel circumfer-ence) or di (wheel diameter)Ln (wheel circumference in mm):pressing MODE for a short timechanges to di (wheel diameter inmm); pressing MODE again changesback to Ln and so forth. To be ableto proceed, at least one of the twovalues must be other than 0.After performing the proceduredescribed in paragraphs 20.1 and20.2 and with the display appearingas shown in Figure 5 or 6, press andhold down the MODE button untilthe display is as shown in Figure 7.
When MODE is released, the bars willbe replaced by 0000, or by the pre-viously entered value with theleftmost digit blinking.To alter the entered value, simplyrepeat the procedure. Briefly press-ing the MODE button causes thedisplay to appear as shown in Figure6. Once Ln has been entered, thepage will display the correspondingdiameter, calculated automaticallyby the instrument.

2CONTROLLI E MANUTENZIONE PRIMA E DOPO L'UTILIZZOOnde evitare spiacevoli inconvenienti durante il funzio-namento del veicolo è consigliabile effettuare, siaprima che dopo l'utilizzo, alcune operazioni di controlloe manutenzione. Infatti pochi minuti dedicati a questeoperazioni, oltre a rendere la guida più sicura, posso-no farvi risparmiare tempo e denaro.Quindi procedere come segue:
• Verificare la pressione, lo stato generale e lospessore del battistrada.
• Controllare la presenza dei documenti di identifica-zione del veicolo.
• Nei giorni freddi è consigliabile prima della partenza,fare scaldare il motore facendolo funzionare al mini-mo per alcuni istanti.
• Ogni volta che il veicolo viene utilizzato in fuoristradaoccorre lavarlo accuratamente.

Il rodaggio ha una durata di circa 500 km durantequesto periodo si consiglia di:
- Evitare di viaggiare a velocità costante
- Variando la velocità i vari componenti si assesteran-no uniformemente ed in minor tempo
- Evitare di ruotare la manopola del gas per più di 3/4.
Attenzione:
• Dopo 500 km di percorrenza sostituire l'olio del cam-bio.
• Dopo la prima uscita fuoristrada provvedere a risen-tire tutta la bulloneria.
BREAKING IN
Breaking in takes approximately 500 km/350 miles.During this time:
- Avoid travel at high speeds
- Change speed often so that the parts will break inuniformly and in a shorter time

Per accedere al filtro è ne-cessario smontare:- La sella svitando la vite A
posta sopra la sella e sfilan-do la sella nel verso B comeindicato in figura, quindiprocedere nel modo se-guente:
- Estrarre il coperchio- Togliere il filtro svitando la
vite E- Lavarlo con acqua fredda
e sapone- Asciugarlo- Bagnarlo con olio per filtri,
eliminandone poi l'ecce-denza in modo che nongoccioli; si consiglia di co-spargere di grasso la pa-rete di contatto con la sca-tola filtro
- Se necessario pulire anchel'interno della scatola filtro
- Procedere al rimontaggio,eseguendo le operazioni insenso inverso.
AIR FILTER
To access the filter you mustremove:- The saddle by unscrewing
screw A on the saddle topand pushing the saddle indirection B as shown in thefigure. After that, followthese steps:
- Remove the cover.- Remove screw E and pull
out the filter.- Wash it with soap and cold
water.- Dry the filter- Wet the filter with filter oil,
removing any excess oilso that there is no drip-ping; we suggest to greasethe side that touches thefilter box
- If necessary, proceding inthe reverse order
- Reassemble proceding inthe reverse order.

CANDELA
Mantenere la candela in buono stato contribuisce alladiminuzione dei consumi e all'ottimale funzionamentodel motore.
Per effettuare il controllo è sufficiente sfilare la pipettadella corrente e svitare la candela.Esaminare con uno spessimetro la distanza fra gli elet-trodi che dovrà essere di 0,5-0,6 mm, nel caso noncorrisponda a questo valore è possibile correggerlapiegando l'elettrodo di massa.
Verificare inoltre che non presenti screpolature sull'iso-lante o elettrodi corrosi, in questi casi procedere all'im-mediata sostituzione.
Effettuare il controllo attenendosi alla tabella a pag. 56.
Per il montaggio della candela è consigliabile avvitarla amano fino a battuta, quindi bloccarla con la chiave.
Nota:• L'utilizzo di olii di bassa qualità determina l'aumento
dei depositi carboniosi, è quindi consigliabile utilizzareun olio di buona qualità.
• Si raccomanda di utilizzare sempre candeleNGK BR9 ES.
SPARK PLUG
Keeping the spark plug in good condition will reducefuel consumption and increase engine performance.
To perform the check, simply slide off the electricalconnection tube and unscrew the spark plug.Examine the distance between the electrodes with afeeler. This distance should be from 0.5 to 0.6 mm. If it isnot, it may be corrected by bending the earth elec-trode.
Check as well that there are no cracks in the insulationor corroded electrodes. If so, replace immediately.
Observe the chart on page 57 when performing thecheck.
When replacing the spark plug, screw it in by hand untilit stops, then tighten with a wrench.
Note:• The use of low-quality oil will cause an increase in
carbon deposits. We therefore advise the use of aqualitatively good oil.
• Always use NGK BR9 ES spark plugs.

• in caso di smontaggio e rimon-taggio accensione verificare laposizione dello statore contrasse-gnata da un indicatore sulla pia-stra e da uno corrispondente suuna colonnetta di fissaggio delsemicarter.
CHECKS AFTER CLEANING
After cleaning the motorcycle, it isgood practice to check:
• the presence of grease in thefulcrum of lever A. Usually, greas-ing is performed when high pres-sure jets are used during clean-ing. To grease lever A. Injectgrease until it starts to come out
• Remove the flywheel cover toeliminate any water that mayhave entered.
• If ignition is disassembled and re-assembled, check the position ofthe stator marked by an indicatoron the plate and by a correspond-ing marker on a half-casing fas-tening support.

IREGOLAZIONE MINIMOPer eseguire correttamente questaoperazione si consiglia di effettuar-la a motore caldo, collegando uncontagiri elettronico al cavo can-dela.Intervenire poi con un giravite sullavite di registro A tarando il minimo a1900 giri.
REGOLAZIONE GIOCO GASQualora sul comando dell'accelera-tore sia presente una corsa a vuotosuperiore ai 3 mm misurati sul bordodella manopola stessa, occorre effet-tuarne la regolazione agendo sul re-gistro del carburatore B.
ADJUSTMENT OF IDLING SPEEDIn order to perform this operationcorrectly, we advise you to do itwhen the engine is hot, connectingan electric revolution counter to thespark plug wire. Then use a screw-driver on register screw A to cali-brate the minimum with 1900 R.P.M.
ADJUSTMENT OF GAS CLEARANCEWhenever the accelerator showsunloaded travel exceeding 3 mm,measured from the edge of the han-dle, you should adjust it by means ofcarburetor register B.

CONTROLLO E REGOLAZIONE GIO-CO STERZOVerificare periodicamente il giocodel cannotto di sterzo muovendoavanti e indietro le forcelle comeillustrato in figura. Qualora si avver-ta del gioco, procedere alla rego-lazione operando nel modo seguen-te:- svitare le viti A- allentare il dado B- recuperare il gioco intervenendo
sulla ghiera CPer il ribloccaggio procedere nelmodo inverso.
Nota: Una corretta regolazione, ol-tre a non lasciare del gioco, nondeve causare indurimenti o irrego-larità durante la rotazione del ma-nubrio.

CHECK AND ADJUSTMENT OFSTEERING GEARPeriodically check the play in thesteering sleeve by moving the forkback and forth as shown in the fig-ure. Whenever you feel play, adjustas described below:- Unscrew the screws A- Loosen nut B- Take up the play by means of ring
nut CFor reassembly, proceed in the re-verse order.
Note: Correct adjustment, in addi-tion to not leaving any play, shouldnot cause difficulty or irregularity inturning the handlebar.

Per una più lunga durata della cate-na di trasmissione è opportuno con-trollare periodicamente la sua ten-sione.Tenerla sempre pulita dalla sporci-zia depositata e lubrificarla.Se il gioco della catena supera i 20mm procedere al suo tensiona-mento.
- Allentare il dado A
- Allentare il controdado B
- Agire sulla vite C
- Agire nello stesso modo sul latoopposto, portandola nella stessaposizione
- Verificare l'allineamento della ruo-ta mediante gli indicatori D.
- Ribloccare il dado A mantenen-do il tendicatena in battuta sulregistro.
- Ribloccare il controdado B.
TIGHTENING THE CHAIN
Checking the drive chain periodi-cally to ensure longer chain life.Always keep it lubricated and cleanof deposited dirt.If play exceeds 20 mm tighten thechain as follows:

Regolazione standard•Aprire (svitare) con cacciavite a
taglio il registro (B) dalla posizionedi tutto chiuso 10 click.
•Chiudere (avvitare) con chiave abrugola il registro (A) dalla posizionedi tutto aperto di 1 giro e 1/2.
ADJUSTING THE FRONT FORKS(Racing version only)
The Racing version fits forks thatcan be adjusted in both springpreload and rebound (return).
The adjustment is performed bymeans of specially designedexternal adjusters.Adjuster (A) is used to alter thespring preload.Adjuster (B) alters the hydraulicrebound damping.
Standard adjustment• Using a flat blade screwdriver,turn adjuster (B) out 10 clicks fromthe fully closed position.• Using an Allen key, turn adjuster(A) in 1 1/2 turns from the fullyopen position.

L'ammortizzatore posteriore dellaversione RACING è dotato di registriesterni che permettono di adeguarel'assetto del motociclo alle diversecondizioni di carico.Il registro (B) posto nella zona delfissaggio inferiore dell'ammortizzato-re, regola il freno idraulico nella fasedi estenzione (ritorno).Il pomello (C) sul serbatoio diespanzione dell'ammortizzatoreregola il freno idraulico nella fase dicompressione.Ruotando in senzo orario i pomelli (Be C) si aumenta il freno, viceversa sidiminuisce.
ATTENZIONE:L'ammortizzatore contiene gas adalta pressione e potrbbe causareseri danni se smontato da personeinesperte.

ADJUSTING THE REAR SHOCKABSORBER ON THE RR50 RACINGThe rear shock absorber on theRACING version is equipped withexternal adjusters which allow thevehicle geometry to be adaptedto different load conditions.Adjuster (B), located near thelower shock absorber mount, isused to adjust the hydraulicdamping during the rebound(return) phase.Knob (C), located on theexpansion tank of the shockabsorber, adjusts the hydraulicdamping during the compressionphase.Turning knobs (B) and (C)clockwise increases the dampingaction; conversely, turning themanticlockwise decreases it.
WARNINGThe shock absorber contains high-pressure gas. To prevent seriousdamage, it should be removedand disassembled only by skilledpersonnel.
