Si può fare volontariato ad ogni età, infatti ci sono alcuni progetti speciali per i volontari senior e anche i campi per famiglie con bambini piccoli (fino a 13-14 anni) che permettono di fare un’esperienza interculturale tutti insieme e sostenere dei progetti locali. …in RUSSIA!lavorare insieme ai volontari locali per sistemare le aree verdi del quartiere

GDC-5- World FamilyLocation: Saint-PetersburgDates: 02/08/15 – 11/08/15Type of work: ENVI / family camp Age: 18-35 for adults and 6-14 for kids Participants: 10-12 Extra Fee: 100 EUR (per family)Visa support: providedWORK: The goal of this workcamp is at first to give families a chance to appreciate volunteering together; second, to show that helping is easy and charity is not always about money giving. Participants of the camp – families with children will be working together. The first part will be environmental work such as gardening. Volunteers will as well work on the territory of parks/ a rehabilitation center/ a school/a youth center and clean the territory, paint fences. The second activity will be devoted to the acquaintance with the charity organizations, initiatives and their work and joining it. For example, volunteers will help the staff of the Russian wild animal quarantine center «Veles»: this Quarantine Center carries out programs on rescue of wild animals in St.-Petersburg and Leningrad region. Volunteers will help feeding the animals, cleaning the cages, and doing some manual work. As well volunteers can join a workshop on waste sorting of the eco-initiative popular in St. Petersburg. They can share the opinions and experiences they made on waste sorting and also probably join one of the events on this topic where they can practically use the acquired knowledge. Some other excursions are planned.

Number of vols: 15Age: 1 – 99Extra Fee: 50 EUR WORK: This camp is for families. One adult and one child is enough to form a family but bigger families are also welcome. Kids up to 14 years old, travelling together with an adult volunteer are welcome. Cardak is a seaside town and its mayor still remembers the work camp that came here many years ago. The mayor is

willing to host another work camp this year for different manual works like landscaping, creating green areas, cleaning the roads, collecting garbage, etc. Different types of manual work will be organised every day.

ALLI17 - Forest Tikkala Dates: 09/08/15 – 22/08/15Type of work: ENVI / family camp Age: 4+ Number of vols: 16 Extra fee: 50 euros per child aged 4-11 and 80 euros per person for 12-15 year old children and adults WORK: The camp host is a local non-governmental organization called Pohjoisen Korpilahden Yhteistyoyhdistys which aims to improve the living conditions of the local people in the area. It organizes different kinds of events and is also in charge of the Hangasjarvi camp site. Forest is the theme of this family camp. So the volunteers will have a good chance to experience living by the forest, working there as well as picking berries and mushrooms. The work includes landscaping the camp surroundings, cleaning up the forest around the camp, gathering wood and making firewood. Quite easy physical work outside. Kitchen chores are also done by the volunteers. Possibility to learn how to make blueberry jam… The plan is to have classes from local school visit the camp so the children in the camp would have a chance to meet Finnish children and young people.Location: Hangasjarvi is a very peaceful area surrounded by woods and by a lake. The area has a long history in using wood – traces can be seen also in Hangasjarvi. Tikkala is the closest village - about 7 km from the camp so this is a real countryside location. Typical Finnish summer activities such as sauna, swimming and fishing are possible, also a visit to a nearby town can be organized during the weekend. Closest big town is Jyvaskyla (about 25 km, 30 minutes) from Hangasjarvi. There are good connections from Helsinki to Jyvaskyla (c. 270 km) by air, train or bus.

Children from the ages of 6 to 14 years old are able to take part in this workcamp. Younger children, from the age of 2, are welcome, but they must remain under the care of their parents throughout the duration of the workcamp.Number of vols: 12Extra fee: 40 EUR / child (up to 14), 80 EUR / 15+ and adultWORK: The hosting centre is located in the mountains and the differences in levels make it difficult for the ones with reduced mobility to use the site. The objective of this workcamp is therefore to increase the accessibility to the outdoor areas of the hosting centre. During the work you will adapt the already existing paths to make them more accessible and also create new sections to connect them. In this way you will learn about the development standards for persons with reduced mobility as well as smaller foundation and earth-moving works. Moreover you will make paving stones using different mortars, make low walls with stones from the river and also do some gardening.Location: Vaunires (7 km from the village of St Julien en Beauchne, 40 km from the city of Gap) Leisure activities: Situated in a remarkable natural environment, Vaunires is an ideal place to discover the joy of hiking and life in a rural area, with its markets, people and its producers. In the evenings, you will be able to organise games, international meals or show movies. During the project, touristic outings to discover the towns and villages of the region may also be organised.

SJ64 – OUTDOOR IMPROVEMENTS FAI 2Dates: 09/08/15 - 16/08/15Type of work: RENO / family campAge: 6 – 90. Children from the ages of 6 to 14 years old are able to take part in this workcamp. Younger children, from the age of 2, are welcome, but they must remain under the care of their parents throughout the duration of the workcamp.Number of vols: 12Extra fee: 40 EUR / child (up to 14), 80 EUR / 15+ and adultWORK: In the heart of the Hautes Alpes, the association “Les Villages des Jeunes” (www.villagesdesjeunes.org) has been managing, livening up and renovating the reception centre of le Faï since 1990. It is a former agriculture domain situated at an altitude of 1000 meters. The old buildings of the farm have been developed into small apartments and group accommodations. At le Faï, from April to December, the association organises inclusion projects for local people who are faced with social and professional difficulties and host teenagers and young adults experiencing family, health or professional difficulties in order to give them a possibility to get professional experience. In the summer, the Faï is also a place where professional artists and musicians come to work in and with this extraordinary place. Together, they create and perform at the yearly festivals that take place at the Faï.

The international workcamps organised at the Faï contribute to make this place something “extra”, where people in different ages, from different countries and cultures, employees and volunteers, artists and tourists, live and work together for some days or several months. We hope that you also, a volunteer from France or abroad, will come in this spirit of encounter and working together which brings our project to life.Location: The Farm of the Fai (3km from the village of Saix, 30 km from the city of Gap). Leisure activities: As the Fai is surrounded by an extraordinary nature, it is an ideal place when it comes to discover mountain hiking and the rural villages with their peasant markets and local products. In the evenings you can organise games, film nights, international meals. You can also organise more trips to the towns and villages of the region.

Nei campi di volontariato non c’è una data di scadenza per presentare la candidatura però è sempre consigliato di muoversi in anticipo perché la disponibilità dei posti può cambiare nel giro di pochi giorni.Una volta scelto il progetto, iscriversi ad un campo di lavoro è molto semplice, basta inviarci:1) la scheda di iscrizione (VEF) disponibile sul nostro sito; 2) la ricevuta del versamento della quota socio annuale (30 euro) e della quota campo (80 euro). La quota campo nel caso in cui la propria candidatura non venga accettata e/o non ci siano progetti alternativi a cui si è interessati viene integralmente rimborsata.I costi a carico del volontario sono: quota associativa (30 Euro), quota d’iscrizione al progetto (80 Euro). Il vitto e l’alloggio sono garantiti dall’associazione di accoglienza per tutta la durata del progetto, le spese di viaggio sono a carico del volontario. Prima della partenza si riceve un foglio di viaggio chiamato infosheet con tutte le informazioni utili su come arrivare, il punto di incontro con gli altri volontari, contatti di riferimento e di emergenza, cosa portare con se, etc.
