Compositore, Produttore Musicale e Sound Designer basato a Milano, Francesco Sacco inizia privatamente lo studio della chitarra classica all’età di sette anni, per proseguire poi il suo percorso rivolgendosi alla musica popolare e contemporanea, arricchendo il suo vocabolario artistico attraverso lo studio del blues, della musica contemporanea e della composizione software, privatamente, individualmente e sotto la guida dei Maestri Frank Gambale e Beppe Gambetta. Frequenta poi l’Università degli Studi di Milano (cdl in Scienze Umanistiche per la Comunicazione), dove, oltre alla musicologia, esplora altri linguaggi dell’arte come la performance, il teatro e le arti figurative. Dopo varie esperienze di blogging musicale, dal 2015 comincia a collaborare assiduamente con il portale online di Rolling Stone Italia, saltuariamente con quello di Noisey, in qualità di redattore. Firma varie direzioni musicale per spettacoli di danza contemporanea in scena nei teatri Franco Parenti, Elfo Puccini ed altri, dislocati sul territorio nazionale. Per l’accademia “Dancehaus Susanna Beltrami” svolge esternamente l’attività di direzione musicale, firmando varie produzioni e tenendo workshop e conferenze rivolte agli studenti. Dal 2016 collabora con il brand di moda e design Marni, allestendo performance musicali, curando la drammaturgia musicale per sfilate ed eventi pubblici di vario genere. Collabora inoltre con vari artisti in qualità di produttore, autore e arrangiatore, con alcune gallerie d’arte contemporanea in qualità di consulente musicale e autore.

“Le Serpent Rouge” is a contemporary dance and m u s i c p e r f o r m a n c e created by Cult of Magic collective, founded and guided by Francesco Sacco, Samira cogliandro and Giada Vailati. The performance takes it’s main inspiration from the homonymous booklet , d i v i d e d i n t h i r t e e n chapters, one for each z o d i a c s i g n s . T h e performance, taking the booklet as it’s starting point, stages an initiatic path trough symbols and a n c i e n t t r a d i t i o n s concerning the sacred feminine.

“Lorca Sono Tutti” is a contemporary dance play directed and choreographed by Diego Tortelli, co-produced by Fondazione Nazionale della Danza - Aterballetto and MilanOltre Festival. With Francesco Sacco’s original scores and musical dramaturgy, the play it’s dedicated to the Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca, inspired by its work and the mystery of his death. Staged first as a preview for Fondazione Teatro Amilcare Ponchielli (Cremona), it will have its premier on 12nd October 2018 for MilanOltre Festival at Teatro Elfo Puccini (Milano).

“Bella Addormentata” is a contemporary dance play directed and choreographed by Diego Tortelli for “Junior BallettO di ToscanA” inspired by Pëtr Il'ič Čajkovskij’s famous ballet. With Francesco Sacco’s m u s i c a l d r a m a t u r g y b a s e d o n Čajkovskij’s original score, the play has been staged in more than fifty Italian theaters, after the premier at “Teatro Comunale C. CULT OF MAGIC:O by Cult of Magic is the starting point of a c o n t e m p o r a r y a r t , m u s i c a n d performance collective based in Milan, founded by Francesco Sacco. :O is a psychedelic rock music Ep composed and arranged by Francesco Sacco, recorded and mixed by the sound engineer Giacomo Zambelloni. The Ep, composed under the influences of the philosopher Aleister Crowley’s thoughts, explores the crisis of humanity after the fall of the religious and scientific ideologies, and its search of shelter in magic arts.

LOOKING FOR MARNIAn hexaphonic mixtape made of a narrative mashup of samples and some rhythmics, originally composed for “Looking For Marni”, a total theater piece coreographed by Susanna Beltrami to introduce Marni’s 2016 Eyewear collection, inspired by Oskar Schlemmer’s “Triadische Ballet”, Philip Glass minimalism and Bob Wilson’s theater.

Tank Girl is Irene Maggi’s first solo work, composed after a b r e a k i n g d o w n w i t h h e r boyfriend. It is an orchestral pop music work whose strength are p o l y r i t h m i c p a t t e r n s a n d u n e x p e c t e d a r r a n g e m e n t solutions. The Ep was fully composed and produced by Francesco Sacco, and will be out for Universal Music Grup in November 2017.

IRENE MAGGI TANK GIRL

On the occasion of Milan 2017 Salone del Mobile, the Italian fashion brand transformed its space into one big playground: Marni Playland. Reflecting on the concept of play, public will be invited to forget predefined rules and structures and interact with the surrounding space and the intriguing elements it contains. The playground is a stretch of sand which is the perfect backdrop for a series of extraordinary objects and furniture sculptures that have cast practicality aside to embrace their playful side, leaving them open to interpretation. The playground will feature toys to be showcased and toys to play with, storage containers perfect for basketball, colourful cones to stack rings over and baskets with parts that are so out of proportion they highlight the irony of the creative approach. All the home furnishings, designed exclusively for the 2017 Salone del Mobile, are unique pieces produced entirely in Colombia by a group of women who have skilfully employed the traditional techniques adopted by local Colombian artisans, finding their independence and emancipation through their work. The soundtrack for the event consisted in the revisitation in a klezmer key (the traditional jewish music) of musical material concerning the semantic area of play, from classical ballet’s arias to Nino Rota’s soundtracks for Fellini. The music director Francesco Sacco worked at the rearrangement of the material, leading the art direction of the musical part of the project.

MARNI PLAYLAND

Soundtrack originally composed for “Marni Ballhaus”, Marni’s 2016 Milan Design Week performance inspired by Colombia. The musical work underlines the importance of the contamination (Africa, South America, Spain…) as the birth of Cumbia though mixing latin rhythms with classical suggestions, traditional percussions with synthesizers.

MARNI BALLHAUS

“El Mundo” is a carpet installation by Luz Maria Jaramillo: The work focuses on the idea behind the game, understood as a place of improvisation and of perceptive and sensory experimentation. Open to a dialogue and an exchange of ideas, the game feeds on the “creative and shared” moments” whose aim is to open up across international frontiers through meeting and exchange of different languages and cultures. El undo draws on “hopscotch” a multicultural and multifarious game that describes and colors alleyways, courtyards and squares around the world by drawing numbered geometric shapes on the ground that must be hooped or jumped over. As a thereshold to be traversed, a path to be crossed, the carpet installation becomes a metaphor for life itself. The installation is surrounded by pc vintage speaker bought in flea markets around the world, playing the sound of their place of origin, in a complex sound design texture thought and realized by Francesco Sacco.

Psiphae is a contemporary dance and arts performance composed by Francesco Sacco and choreographed by Diego Tortelli. The starting point is the myth of Pasiphae, Minosse’s wife and Minotaurs’ mother, the idea of labyrinth not just as an architectonical element, but also as spiritual condition. The three dancers’s movements guide us in a labyrinth of thoughts, suggestions and the ideas, under the spell of a hostile divinity, represented by the continuos reprise of the same musical theme.

Cursus is a contemporary dance and arts performance composed by Francesco Sacco and choreographed by Diego Tortelli. The play reflects about the idea of fails as the starting point of the success. In a non-narrative composition of body in space, sound design elements and a big audio installation realized by Francesco Sacco, the play have been presented in Turin with Pompea Santoro Eko Dance Project’s dancers.

ROLLING IDOLSRolling Idols is a contemporary dance play choreographed by Susanna Beltrami and Fully composed by Francesco Sacco. The idea of the play is tho reflect about the birth of pop culture through the main acts of the career of a rock and roll band, such as the Rolling Stones. Fifteen dancers guide us by suggestions and lysergic atmospheres in the world of ’60, Andy Warhol, Keith Richards and his band, in a blues prayer against the machine of art industry. The premiere have been in October 2015 at Teatro Franco Parenti, Milan.

CON TUS OJOSCon Tus Ojos is a contemporary dance play choreographed by Susanna Beltrami inspired by the carrier of Pablo Picasso. With Francesco Sacco musical direction and Luz Maria Jaramillo’s costumes, the play, presented at Teatro Elfo Puccini, Milan, consisted in a narrow analysis of Pablo Picasso’s art, passion, artist’s and human being’s life, a continuous suggestion made of movements, sounds and colors in a contemporary piece that took place non just on the stage, but explored many other non-conventional theatrical spaces such as the atelier and the understage.
