Totem polymateric full of painting, where forms, colors, materials interact with the surrounding reality by revealing their Essence. Stratified, burned and carved matter becomes epidermal through painting that pushes the image to rise from the rubble. Similar to rusty relics rejecting contact and dialogue, this structure is a powerful metaphor of existential incommunicability. !Each sculpture is a portrait that loses its structure, a man who has lost his identity, becoming representation of Essence. This deeper introspective investigation, unique, intimate, true, goes to show a civilization never evolved, at least not in the sphere we really need, but through art, can help to leave open meshes in which it could happen that the totality finds space and manifests itself.!

BIOGRAFIA:!Ester Maria Negretti, 1978, Como. ! !Ripetere nel piccolo della nostra “officina” lo stesso procedimento che la natura attua nell’universo, lasciare cioè il campo aperto a nuove esperienze, a nuove combinazioni di materie che si uniscono e si separano come nelle reazioni chimiche, è la caratteristica che da origine alla creazione artistica di Ester Maria Negretti. Circondata dalle architetture grigie e incombenti di una piccola città di provincia, demolisce e ricostruisce, facendo della materia, epidermide.!

Dopo aver conseguito il diploma presso l’I.T.I.S. Setificio di Como, seguendo la buona tradizione rinascimentale forma la sua tecnica pittorica nella “bottega” di pittori esperti dai quali apprende I segreti del mestiere.!

Ha partecipato fin da giovanissima a numerosi concorsi tra cui ricordiamo: !2012 finalista Premio Combat Prize; premiata al Premio Bice Bugatti;!2010 vince il Premio Brambati;!2008 invitata al premio La Fenice et des Artistes, Venezia;!2006 vince il 2°premio Carlo dalla Zorza 2006, Milano;!2005 finalista al Premio Arte Mondadori.!

Dopo aver lavorato presso diversi studi di disegno tessile, a partire dal 2005, si dedica esclusivamente alla pittura.!Tra le ultime mostre personali: !2011 "Essenza e Materia", Palazzo del Broletto, Como; !2010 “Landscape”, Galleria Cortina, Milano; !2008 "Morte e rinascita della materia", Palazzo Pretorio, Sondrio!2007 “Ester Negretti”, Libreria Bocca, Milano.!

Repeating in our small "workshop" the same process that nature implements in the universe - in other words, leaving the field open to new experiences, new combinations of materials which unite and separate themselves as in chemical reactions - is the most interesting feature of Ester Maria Negretti’s artistic creation. Surrounded by gray and looming architecture of a small provincial town, she demolishes and reconstructs, making the matter epidermis.!

After graduating at the ITIS of Como, following the good tradition of the Renaissance she works in expert painters’ studios to learn their secrets.!

Since she was very young, she participated in numerous competitions, among which we remember:!2012 Combat Award Finalist Prize; awarded at the Bice Bugatti Prize;!2010 wins the Brambati Prize;!2008 invited to the La Fenice et des Artistes Prize, Venice;!2006 she wins the 2nd Carlo Zorza Prize 2006, Milan;!2005 finalist for the Arte Mondadori Prize.!After working in different studies of textile design, from 2005 she devoted herself entirely to painting.!
