Divina proportioneFrom the Renaissance many artists have dedicated themselves to the quest for geometric purity of forms. Luca Pacioli, mathematician and Economist, writes a treatise about geometry, "De Divina Proportione" whose illustrations are made by Leonardo da Vinci. Pacioli's book devotes a section to the character design (De dignissimo antiquo alphabeto) establishing certain mathematical rules for the design of the case derived from the study of Roman lapidarie engravings. The letters are drawn on a basic square divided into nine parts, that determine the thickness of the rod higher (being the auction less than half of the major).Even the representation of reality is sublimated into forms through the geometry: in every natural element is apparent a pure geometric structure.In Piero della Francesca the oval faces are perfect, the bodies are described with the primary solids and ... The geometry permeates all things.For our calendar we identified as connection between the graphics and the food just geometry: each food is constructed geometrically and some building parts form the structure of the letter "A" created by Pacioli, instead.
