Porto Industriale Cagliari SpA – CICT (Cagliari International Container Terminal) - CONTSHIP ITALIA Group SPA – Cagliari Electrical & Electronics Devices Manager May 2003 to date

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage all electrical and electronics devices installed on Cranes and all over the terminal, mainly PLC and automation drives; maintain the equipment available reliable and safe in a cost-effective way. Also, creating technical specifications for internal and outsourced maintenance activities, supervise and distribute the work to internal and outsourced staff as required to get the work finished in time in a safe and organised manner.

Key Achievements and Major Projects

• Assisted the Engineering Director with the preparation of Annual Budget for maintenance and investments.

• Controlled and distributed maintenance activities to technical staff on a day-to-day basis.

Employer: C.I.C.T Sardinia – Cagliari Italy - P&O Ports start-up phaseTitle: Electrical Superintendent March 1999 – May 2003 I was in charge of Electrical Maintenance team during the start-up phase. I have successfully implemented and continually improved all necessary Electrical Maintenance plans, following the manufacturer specifications and guidelines. Also, I organised the training for the staff employed, and assisted the team that followed the requirements of Fantuzzi Ansaldo STS cranes, conducted final and ongoing testing.

• Developed and continually implemented all necessary Electrical Maintenance periodic plans, during the start up of (projected) 1 million container facility.

• Assisted with planning and technical specification for the IT network infrastructure and the electrical wirings on the workshop and administrative building.

• Cooperated with IT manager for completing all the local area network of the terminal including LXE access points and setups.

• Managed the purchase of workshop tools and equipment, including spare parts.

• Developed modifications on programs and PLC hardware to increase operative use of the STS cranes and RTG.

• During the first operative period, I identified parts of new equipment that have repetitive failure and plan all improvements for a cost effective maintenance and defect removal.

firms.•Controlled all electrical jobs are performed according the supplier contract. I
