Fotografo, pittore, produ-ttore musicale, artista dei tatuaggi, Scott Andre Patterson e’ veramente un artista la cui creativita’ sconfigge le etichette. Patterson inizia la sua carriera come fotografo di moda di talento in trasferta a Parigi per le collezioni degli stilisti per Essence Magazine, piu’ volte premiato per le sue illustrazioni digitali. Piu’ interessato a fare arte che crearsi un nome Patterson ha iniziato a dipingere fuori dal circuito uffi-ciale, esponendo i suoi struggenti, provocatori e audaci lavori con lo pseu-donimo di “The Me No-body Knows” o semplice-mente NOBODY. Con questo pseudonimo Patterson intendeva sot-tolineare le similitudini tra se e le decine di altri ragazzi di talento della sua community ma scon-osciuti al mondo dell’arte. Insieme ad alcuni di questi ragazzi (Avone, Ski, 2Esae) nascono opere di grande intensita’, nella grande tradizione delle collaborazioni tra artisti che, a tutti i livelli, rivela la voglia di contaminarsi e di confrontarsi. unico palcoscenico i marciapiedi della Grande Mela; un gruppo di artisti che a volte collaborano mantenendo pero’ la propria prospettiva individuale e i propri messaggi. L’artista ama definire i suoi dipinti come geroglifici urbani. Assemblando, costruendo, decostru-endo, dipingendo e graffiando su ogni superficie che trova, i suoi lavori sono pitture rupestri contemporanee che stimolano profonde riflessioni, os-servazioni e discussioni. I mixed media paintings di Patterson hanno catturato l’attenzione di curatori internazionali, collezionisti, celebrita’ e perfino al-tri artisti. Scott Andre Patterson vive e lavora a New York e si firma con il tag TMNK e 5150. L’artista e il gruppo Sosic (Soho Street Ink Collective) sono stati invitati nel febbraio 2008 a pre-sentare la loro arte durante l’evento “Design and Elastic Mind Exhibit” al MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) di New York.TMNK is truly an artist whose crea-tive abilities defy labels. He began his career as a fashion photographer, where he found himself in Paris pho-tographing the designers collections

for Essence Magazine. he has received national recognition for his digital editorial illustrations.

More content with making art than making a name for himself, TMNK exhibits his poignant, provocative and bold, art under the moniker “THE ME NOBODY KNOWS (TMNK).” The artist likes to refer to his unique paintings as urban hieroglyphics. Constructing, assembling, deconstructing, painting, and scratching on any surface he can find, his paintings are modern-day cave drawings, offering refelctions, observations, and discussions that the viewer is invited to join.

TMNK’s work has drawn the attention of curators, collectors - And even other artist! Well known raw artist Gus Fink had this to say: “I think your one of greatest out there.”
