45-745-1612We were approached by Siemens to manufacture their cable assemblies and wiring looms, to be used in their Electro Mechanical and Numeric Protection Device products. We won the contract by being the most competitive company through Siemens’ online bid system.

Siemens gave feedback of our product and service on this particular project;

“We have worked with ASL since April 2014 and in that time have found them to be professional, flexible, knowledgeable and showing initiative from the outset.

We had to transfer a number of tools from a previous overseas supplier to ASL and had a number of time constraints against us and a Major Turnkey Project for the supply of Protection Relays for Singapore Power Grid at the time. Fully equipped with high speed machinery, our high standard manufacturing facility is set up to offer any type of custom cable assemblies at low cost and first class quality.

As a manufacturing company of electrical wiring assemblies, our production operators are fully qualified to the Certification IPC A-620.This qualification is for the Require-ments and Acceptance of Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies, and is the first industry consensus standard for cable and wire harness fabrication and installation.

Our operating staff are given this training when joining ASL to ensure our standard of product remains consistent at all times.Since implementing the IPC A-620 programme we have seen significant improvements in quality and our staff are now able to better identify and solve prob-lems when they work to well-defined criteria of what is acceptable and unacceptable.

After visiting their factory in London to fully understand their needs and capabilities,we were delighted some weeks later, to be awarded with the contract for wiring looms and cable assemblies.

A purpose built cell within our spacious 32,000sqft factory was created for manufacturing the bike wiring looms.This efficient system enables us to produce thousands of wiring looms per year and continue to deliver on time.

Brompton Bicycle are the UK’s largest bike manufacturer, delivering over 48,000 bikes per year. The unique bike was first designed and built in London in 1975 and is still being made in London today.

Brompton have been a huge success all over the world and in recent years when their demands started to soar, they needed a wiring loom supplier who could meet their requirements. Keen to keep all manufacturing in the UK and many partsas possible on their bike British, they were looking for a UK wiring loom and cable assembly supplier who was set up to guarantee first class quality and on time deliveries.

Our Wiring Harness and Wire Loom capabilities are delivered into markets including;Automotive, General Engineering and Security.

Optare identified a problem when the lead time from their overseas suppliers was too long. Optare use suppliers in Eastern Europe for their full production but needed a UK supplier that could offer a quick turnaround, good prices and a flexible service for their Aftermarket and VOR’s.

United Utilities Award Assembly Solutions with Control Panel and Box Build Contract. United Utilities are the UK’s largest listed water company.

The project involved a team of 10 and took 4 months to complete from start to finish. All the panels were delivered on time and with no quality issues.

After delivering all 338 control panels, these were then installed all over the north west in the main electrical substations. The panels are now being used for staff at united utilities to monitor and control the operation of the remote substations from their Manchester office headquarters

As the operator of water and wastewater networks in the North West, England, United Utilities invested over £3 Billion between 2010 and 2015 to meet ever-in-creasing water quality standards, deliver environmental improvements and make their network more reliable.

As part of this investment plan, United Utilities needed new Telemetry Control Panels installing in their North West electrical substations.
